  3. Proton Pass addon

    Hello,

I discovered today your new product Proton Pass. I currently use KeepassXC and should be interested by your new solution.

I'm currently a paid user to your Mail Plus offer (79€ each 2 years) and discovered that i'm not eligible to the 1€ Pass plus offer. I need to suscribe to the unlimited offer (7,99€ per month) so the Proton Pass will cost me 4,50€ per month. Not sure I apply with such a price.

Should it be possible to suscribe to several product (mail + pass) without the unlimited offer

    Best regards

    Cyrille

  4. Paid plans should provide option to hide promotional ads

Option to hide promotions / ads for proton. Would probably need to be a paid feature. For me the main appeal of protonmail is the lack of ads based on by my emails, lack of calendar events auto created based on my emails, and lack of ads in the interface. I consider the button that says "Get Proton Family" to be an ad.

  5. There could be more cryptocurrency options

Users can already pay by Bitcoin. However Bitcoin isn't the most private nor cheapest cryptocurrency to use. I suggest Proton paid plans could be paid with other cryptocurrencies such as Monero, Litecoin, Etherium and Bitcoin Cash.

  6. customer benefit for existing clients

there should be a plan for existing clients...for example you pay the full price year 1....year 2 5% discount....year 3 another 3% discount in addition to the 5% of the year 2 ...

  8. Mail Plus plan with shared domain

Sharing a domain among several people is now very expensive.

The Mail Plus plan is more than enough for most people, but sharing a domain is not possible with it. The cheapest plan for sharing a domain is Mail Essentials which is almost double the price of Mail Plus. That is a lot.

I suggest adding one of these options:
    1. Add domain sharing to Mail Plus
    2. Make an affordable "bare essentials" family plan
    3. Add domain sharing as a paid add-on feature

  10. Expert mode for security/recovery

I love Proton and rely on it for email and password management. This makes my Proton account's security paramount, since this is the gateway to everything else now. That is why I have two security keys that protect access to this critically important account with unfishable 2FA. My password is kept offline, and is backed-up in various ways.

Proton, however, seems to work against my efforts sometimes. I'm obligated to also use an authenticator app to use my security keys. Without asking, I'm suddenly opted-in to having recovery files downloaded to my trusted devices. Allow password reset from settings is…

  11. Family Plan for Mail and VPN with Parental Control

As everyone is already asking for a Family plan I don't have to repeat this. I would be up for a Familyplan including VPN and then add a Parental Control function. Changes needed:
    - Family plan for up to 6 Persons 2 of those are "Grown Ups" and 4 are Child-Accounts
    - VPN Client that can be forced and not turned off for the Child-Accounts
    - Family filter or at least Surf-report for Parents of the Child VPN Access
    - Family Filter or Report for Child Mail Accounts

I really like Proton and its Plans and think this would be…

  12. Unusual login notifications

If somebody attempts to login to my account from an unusual location, I'd like to receive an email to a couple of email addresses: 1 my proton email; 2 an alternate email (e.g, gmail). Another alternative is receiving an SMS.

  13. Reduce the power of family plan admin

If the access of the admin account of a proton family group is known to the attacker he could switch all email adresses to himself and abuse them. Try to login to amazon accounts or similar and resets passwords there too. The feature to control all emails in the group is to dangerous. Could you please optionally remove this.

  16. Rearrange Plans

Here is the thing. We all come here for privacy, yes? Now, if I had to take a guess of users : the 5 services : the frequency of which one was used.

I bet you, were looking at a dominant % on the ultimate plan, especially the 1-2yr deals. I don't think there are many people who only buy proton drive plus, as it is the same price as mail & calendar premium. They made Proton Pass relatively cheap, i think as low as $1.99 per m/o. The reviews on proton pass are high, and I think mail /…

  17. Forgotten password options vulnerability

I clicked the "forgot password" option on the sign in page to test. After entering my email, it immediately prompted for a 12 word phrase.

Immediately prompting for the phrase gives an attacker performing reconnaissance valuable information.

All 3 options should be selectable regardless of which have been configured. This allows security through obfuscation. As the screenshots in this link show https://proton.me/support/reset-password

This is for a situation where someone who knows my alternate email or phone number and tries to use them. If I haven't enabled them as options, it would be also good to then get a notification about…

  18. Purchase multiple plans under 1 account

I currently have a Proton Business plan with x users. However, not all users require all the features that come with Proton business, and I would like to purchase a Mail Essentials plan. I cannot do this for some reason.

I would like the ability to purchase different tiers of plans under the same account.

  19. Unlimited accounts for catch-all email addresses

I am a premium paying member of proton mail who uses a catch-all email domain.

I use many prefixes such as:
    moving@address.com
    apartment@address.com
    work@address.com
    personal@address.com
    name@address.com
    etc.

In order to send email from these addresses, I must have accounts for them. This is very annoying as I have to repeatedly create and delete these accounts in order to stay under the 15 account limit.

On my own domain, I should have unlimited addresses.

This would very helpful and would solve one of my biggest annoyances with proton.

  20. Security regarding aliases, when a account is compromised.

The way you login to proton doesnt matter, if you use your alias email or the "standard" email address when login gives you the same options to every setting on that account.

Therefore I am requesting that you change it abit, allowing only when logged in as the main "standard" email ID to be able to change settings.

This goes for critical settings ofcourse, like password 2FA etc.
Settings like with aliases and folders etc woudnt need to be logged in as "standard" to change.

Lets say I am using a alias for www.example.com and that site gets compromised, giving…
