1. invoice email

   I’d like to suggest a feature that would be really helpful for admins managing paid Proton accounts:

   Currently, Proton doesn’t seem to send out monthly billing notification emails when an invoice is generated or a payment is processed. It also doesn’t include the invoice as a PDF attachment in any notification. This means admins have to manually log into the dashboard each month just to retrieve the invoice.

   For those of us managing billing and accounting tasks, it would be a big improvement if Proton could:

   Automatically send a billing email each month when a new invoice is issued.

   Include the PDF invoice as an attachment in that email.

   Optionally allow customization of who receives the email (e.g., billing contacts or admins).

   This would save time, streamline financial processes, and reduce the risk of missing a billing cycle or invoice download.

   Thanks for considering this! I really appreciate the ongoing improvements and privacy-first approach Proton continues to take.

   I love Proton’s encrypted email and want my extended family to use it, but most relatives only need a mailbox—not the full Proton suite. Paying for separate Mail Plus accounts or a bundled Family plan (which includes services we never use) is costly and cumbersome. A dedicated family plan for Mail Plus would let me sponsor and manage everyone’s accounts in one place.

4. Allow password reset without losing all data

   Allow users to configure if they want data to be encrypted in case of a password reset.

   My data is not highly confidential or interesing to others. For me the risk of losing everything after a password reset is much higher than being compromised.

   So it would be great to be able to turn off the invalidation of the encryption keys in the event of a password reset.

5. Greater Clarity

   I have been a bit disappointed with Proton. It seemed to be perfect for me, and I thought the lowest paid subscription would cover all that I needed. I read carefully what was offered, but I soon discovered, one at a time, that I had to up the ante, so I ended up having to pay double what I had expected. That was reluctantly accepted, only for me to discover,which is not clearly stated as far as I can tell, that there is no app for Linux on Proton Drive. That is nearly a deal-breaker for me, and it seems a good many others have met the same disappointment.

7. accountless lumo+ with per session payment

   Over time i noticed all Freemium AI to get shorter and shorter chat time until token limit is hit.
   Maybe because of economic reasons its capped more, but maybe also because e.g. Reasoning (or other features), takes up more tokens.

   Either way I totally understand AI Usage should be payed for. What keeps me from doing it via Lumo+ right now is two things.

   First of all payment needs to be fully anonymous e.g. by supporting truly anonmous payment options. I do understand that is the case with proton.

   But the second thing is really as important, because how AI is working. With AI you talk more or less in normal language containig a lot of patterns.
   Bundling those within one account actually makes it much less anonymous. I would rather bundle in a sessions only.
   With Lumo+ I can't do that because payment is bound to this account.

   What would actually help, is allowing to buy unrelated random per-session tokens with anonymous payment methods. So every chat is different.

   I understand that this is not an easy decision to take as company,
   but implementing such things would allow me to pay for things more, worth paying for.

   A moment ago i suggested how much the term unlimited is confusing everyone as wel las preventing extra options.

   as such i realised why not also suggest an ideea about them

   WARNING my suggestion is about new plans.

   i will highligh 3 FORMS but it must be clear it's just 1 single suggestion because otherwise i wake up my suggestion get's removed (1 suggestion rule)

   1st. the general ideea. We want more? we pay more, but we actually get more. This is like Storage plans, Lumo tokens (if you know what tokens are you know what i mean, otherwise, sorry, please read up), email domain from proton, and while i wish i could suggest more, like let's say IPs and more, i sadly will get this suggestion removed if i continue.

   Unlimited + Plus (again, i want to prove how much the "unlimited" is preventing progress)

   Let say we have the current Unlimited, and we also want more but, like i mentioned, i want more Storage space, don't need the other. OR MORE Lumo Tokens! But i also don't wish the full version (that i mentioned a moment ago, the 1st one)

   Well like this to be able to chose individual.

   this means that we get more AND, let's say i want Lumo to progress better, we paying extra = will go to pay for bills and stuff, ok, sure, but also excess is for MORE funding and more for the one i Really want so much that i am willing to pay extra! <- again, i am exagerating to make it clear how much the name is preventing similar posts.

   1st is ALL. So it's an Unlimited 2

   2nd is current unlimited + 1 or 2 plus plus but for whole year

   3rd is 2nd but for short time for the 2nd, while a whole year for the current unlimited plan.

   EXTRA!!! The unlimited + to be allowed only for people who had unlimited plan for at least 1 year. Why? because of people who abuse. I don't know how a ++ VPN could look, but if it's access to more VPNs, that means that people who abuse vpns will have a much harder time accesing such ips, preventing websites blocking us

9. Unlimited cause confusion

   when i 1st wanted to use proton i did not even understand the difference between all of them.

   and now, i see that many people also don't

   Lumo also does not know. Like check if lumo can make the difference between proton mail's storage, drive, and pass, because it does not know.

10. Have a sales team that actually answers your requests

    On 2 occasions I reached out about our interest for migrating to Proton for business, both times I got an answer telling me how excited you were to help us and asking for more information. I answered twice and never got any answer. Is it because we are too small of a company?
    This is very disappointing, we were very interested by your solutions, but I guess we will have to find a different approach to better secure our information...

12. Implement double blind armadillo for payments

    I am not hip on all the latest advancements in private payments, but double blind armadillo seems to be the best bet for still accepting credit cards but obfuscating payment details while recording that the payment itself was made for that account. It should prevent tying an account back to a payment method. I don't believe it's perfect but it seems better than stripe and is worth investigating.

13. Allow different display names for account vs email profiles

    In Mail I can create multiple profiles with different display names (e.g. test@pm.me shows “Jack”, test@protonmail.com shows “Jack Frost”). That’s super useful.

    But those names get pulled into my Proton account and other services (Drive, etc.). It would be great if the account could show a different display name or nickname without forcing the email profile names onto everything else.

    I’d prefer to use a nickname for my Proton account, while keeping my email profiles the way I configured them.

15. App-based MFA

    I like the way that Discord, Steam, Github, Apple, etc do their logins, which is by a phone app that prompts you with a notification and you have to enter the code that it says on the computer. This would be a really convenient way to log into Proton rather than having to use your phone for 2FA. Some of the apps I mentioned also do a qr code thing to log in which is super convenient as well.

16. Allow a ProtonVPN Plus User to Simply Upgrade ONE of The Included (Free) ProtonPass, ProtonDrive, or ProtonMail but NOT ALL of them

    I bought ProtonVPN Plus for 24 months. It comes with Free, but Limited ProtonPass, ProtonDrive, and ProtonMail.

    I want to upgrade to ProtonPass Plus, but I don't have any use for ProtonDrive or ProtonMail. I have been heavily invested in other solutions for many years

    But I am told that my only option to get ProtonPass Plus is to upgrade ProtonVPN Plus to a much more expensive plan and get the upgraded ProtonDrive and ProtonMail as well which I do not need or want.

    But I see a different way. But DO I REALLY have no choice other than to create a completely new Proton Account just to get ProtonPass Plus without having to pay for things I do not want???

17. Suggestions for Billing and Payment Options

    I have two ideas that could make your service even more convenient for customers:
    1. It would be very helpful if the billing date could be adjusted directly in the user dashboard.
    2. Additionally, it would be desirable if personal accounts could also pay via direct debit, similar to what is currently available for business plans.

19. I want to add VPN to my Mail Plus account and take advantage of the end of summer sale

    The end of summer sale is tempting but I already have products from other providers so I don't need the whole Unlimited offering. Besides which, after a year the price would escalate and I couldn't justify the expense. I want to add VPN to my existing Mail Plus account, preferably via the end of summer discount, but I can't find a way to do this. Why can't I have Mail Plus plus VPN? (I previously posted this on Reddit but I'm unable to view Proton's response for some reason)

20. allowing business customers to regularly pay by bank transfer and add a button for that

    Dear all, since business customers do not prefer recurring payments being done by credit card or PayPal, would it be possible to accept payment by bank transfer as a normal option? Currently, I have to write to your support every month, showing that I have paid my plan for the upcoming month, and proton matches my payment manually. The business suite only earns that name when business customers can pay by bank transfer. This is standard business practice.
