Adjust prices for 3rd-world economies
Direct conversions from USD are ridiculously expensive.
Your discounted 1st year plan costs more than most graduates earn in a month.

Lifetime Family Plan
I like the idea of the lifetime plan, but what I miss is the option to "merge" several lifetime plans. Especially on the password manager, I see this as a missing feature because we currently have a family plan to be able to have shared vaults and I would love to switch everybody to a lifetime plan but then we can no longer share a vault. I find it quite unfortunate as the lifetime plan covers all the basics and would then allow ever family member to buy add-ons as needed (e.g. more storage space), but this way it limits…

Proton Unlimited Lite – for everyday users
Many people are growing wary of U.S. tech giants, yet Proton is still seen as a niche solution for power users. Most of us only need a reliable email address, a modest amount of cloud storage for document backups, and strong password protection with 2FA.
I propose a Proton Unlimited Lite plan that bundles exactly those essentials:
• Proton Mail (basic inbox)
• 20–30 GB of Proton Drive for secure document backup
• Proton Pass for password management (including 2FA)
• Optional family add‑on so households can share the same subscriptionThe current “Mail Pro” tier feels over‑engineered—too many email aliases and unnecessary features—while the full…

Benefits + locking in long term users
I was thinking of a good and healthy way for both users and company to support long term users.
I got to this idea.
Every year a customer has a subscription they get 1% more lifetime discount. (Until the subscription is cancelled)
So after 1 year you get 1%
2 years 2%
That goes up to a maximum for example 25% after being a loyal customer for 25 years.
Or 50% after 50 years that's up to the company what they feel good about. If you cancel your subscription once (or can't pay it) you lose all the build up…

Add allowing a second email for account recovery, or possibly add multiple email accounts for recovery.
Add allowing a second email for account recovery, or possibly add multiple email accounts for recovery.
This would assure that users can do a recovery, even if the 1st/primary email is not available at any particular time.15 votes -
Shared folders for proton drive with business plans
Add shared Folders or a Common proton drive for all proton users within a business plan of one company.
It would be great to have a company wide proton drive where ieach folder can have access rights for a List of users.

Grace period for deliquent accounts
My credit card company got swallowed up by a larger company and as a result my credit card number was changed. As a result auto-renew failed. Instead of deleting delinquent accounts perhaps put them in stasis for a month or two?

allow users to buy services à la carte
Allow users to by services à la carte. For example being able to purchase Drive+ and Mail+ without being forced to pay for the Unlimited bundle.
The current system incentivizes users to break the TOS since its usually cheaper to have separate accounts with an individual service attached if you don't require the majority of benefits included with Unlimited.

Scheduled Account-Wide Login Restrictions (All Proton Services)
My Idea
I'd like the ability to choose specific hours when my Proton Mail and all the others Proton apps as well cannot accept new logins.
Example:
Set account to close from 8 PM to 7 AM daily
No one (including myself) can log in during this window
Automatically reopens at 7 AM
Why This MattersWhen I'm sleeping, I don't want to worry about someone getting into my account if credentials are compromised or if there's physical access to a device. This would add a temporal security layer beyond password and 2FA.
Key Requirements
Flexible time windows — Choose…

Unlimited hide-my-email aliases in all plans
When considering to offer an additional value to users, the free Proton Mail plan should include unlimited hide-my-email aliases. This will distinct you from other mail providers. At the moment it is rather annoying that aliases are limited to 10 aliases.

Account Lockout & Deletion Policy
The logic is straightforward: if 20 or more consecutive failed login attempts are detected on an account, the system automatically locks it as a security measure. Once locked, the legitimate account owner must complete an identity verification step — such as confirming via email, phone, or a backup authentication method — in order to regain access and unlock their account.
If the account remains locked and the owner fails to verify within a configurable inactivity window (defaulting to 3 months, but adjustable by the user up to 8 months or more), the account enters a deletion process — not an…2 votes -
Include just SOME of the paid Standard Notes features with Proton Unlimited
Personally, I'd love to see the following paid Standard Notes features included with Proton Unlimited for free:
-write and edit markdown and rich text, checklists, code snippets, and more with the powerful Super note type
-create spreadsheets with advanced formulas and rich formatting
-use the web clipper to save web pages as notesI understand maybe there are contractual or financial reasons Proton can't make the ENTIRE $120 Standard Notes Professional plan included with the Proton Unlimited Plan (which ironically is the same price). But the free version of Standard Notes is really pretty rudimentary, and I'm guessing 99% of…

Stop advertising recovery options as 'Security'
Just got another mail to add recovery options to my account in order to increase 'security' or 'safety'. I don't know in which dimension adding another attack vector to the account increases account security in any way. Yes, regular users forget passwords but that doesn't mean you have to advocate for watering down account security on a mass scale, because:
- users who usually forget their passwords also squander around with recovery keys
- users who use other means of recovery (additional e-mail accounts and so on), also usually have bad account security for those recovery methods.
Please rephrase this properly and…

Stop Spam and Bad Actors by Separating Username from Email and Aliases
As Proton user,
I want my username to be completely separate from my email address and aliases
So that bad actors and others that attempt to email any proton domain containing my username will automatically get a 500 5.1.1 Address does not exist and that bad actors who use a list of email addresses to get into my proton account won't be able to because the email addresses they have have nothing to do with my usernameThis will solve two problems. So in future when you sign up for proton you first create a username, thereafter you can register…

Account Recovery Option Obfuscation (Decoy Interface)
Account Recovery Option Obfuscation (Decoy Interface)
As a Proton user with hardened recovery settings,
I want the "Forgot Password" flow to always display all possible recovery methods (Email, SMS, Phrase) regardless of which ones I actually have active,
So that a malicious actor trying to brute-force my account cannot deduce my exact security configuration based on what the UI shows.Acceptance Criteria (AC)
AC 1: Standardized Interface Response
When a user clicks "Forgot Password" and enters their username, the following screen must display the generic tabs/buttons for Email, SMS, and Recovery Phrase.AC 2: Blind Failure for Fake Options

Allow to verify and recover from multiple email addresses and/or multiples phone numbers
Currently, you can verify and recover from one email address and/or one phone number.
I wish to be able to verify and recover by multiples of both.To clarify, I'm not looking for a 2 of 2 multisign solution like Phone 1 AND Phone 2, but from Phone 1 OR Phone 2. The same for external email addresses, while we are here.
Why this? Because I live between two continents with 2 relative phone numbers. One almost doesn't work in one continent; the other almost doesn't work in the other one.

Modular bundles for PLUS users
Hi, I love your services! I'm currently using Proton Mail Plus and I'd like to suggest a "Modular Bundle" system.
It would be amazing if we could pick and choose additional services (like Proton Pass) and add them to our existing Plus plan with a loyalty discount (e.g. 40%). Currently, the jump to the Unlimited plan is quite big if someone only needs two specific services.
Allowing us to customize our plans would be a game-changer for the community!
Thanks for your hard work,

Purchase extra domains
It was possible to purchase extra domains before the rebranding. I’d like to see that feature returned across all plans including Visionary, especially given the feature exists for business accounts.
While I appreciate a lot of effort went into creating the current individual, family, and business plans, some of us have a lot of domains and are therefore forced to stick with less privacy friendly but more flexible email providers. Let me add as many as I need for $x per domain.
