  1. Adopt a sliding scale approach to pricing and a more flexible customizable plan building option

    More flexible "choose your own adventure" style plan building. all options are given a value and you can construct a plan tailored to your needs.

    example: i could have a family plan for email for 3 people with minimal features except for privacy and i could have the flexibility to pay small additional fee to upgrade storage for all accounts. or even just the option to add more storage with the free drive account for a small monthly fee would be better.

    [my opinion: Ideally adding discounted plans for community groups/activists and a focus on a discount for low income…

  2. Mail Plus plan with shared domain

    Sharing a domain among several people is now very expensive.

    The Mail Plus plan is more than enough for most people, but sharing a domain is not possible with it. The cheapest plan for sharing a domain is Mail Essentials which is almost double the price of Mail Plus. That is a lot.

    I suggest adding one of these options:
    1. Add domain sharing to Mail Plus
    2. Make an affordable "bare essentials" family plan
    3. Add domain sharing as a paid add-on feature

  3. Add fine-grained tracking of account billing linked to user changes

    For business users, currently changes in users result in changes in invoices / billing, however there's history to revisit showing "X user started on X date" to be able to reconcile history when managing multiple domains under one account.

  6. True ID Authentication & Account Recovery

    I've prepared plans to recover my account in the event that my password is lost, however I wanted to know if it was possible to implement an account recovery feature that would involve validating someone's ID using someone's government issued ID like a driver's license or passport.

    This feature would come in handy if someone lost access to their account for a prolonged period, and are not concerned with anonymity.

  7. Forgotten password options vulnerability

    I clicked the "forgot password" option on the sign in page to test. After entering my email, it immediately prompted for a 12 word phrase.

    Immediately prompting for the phrase gives an attacker performing reconnaissance valuable information.

    All 3 options should be selectable regardless of which have been configured. This allows security through obfuscation. As the screenshots in this link show https://proton.me/support/reset-password

    It would be nice if I could scramble my email address, and give a unique email address to each service, so I can know who is leaking it if I get spammed.

    I tried Proton Mail free before buying a subscription and am so disappointed I can't use the paid features on these accounts. I am allowed more than one account with my subscription. Why can't it be the ones I already have and use? Such a pain to have to switch over between

  10. Add-on Proton Service (Customize Plan) not directly to Unlimited Plan

    Need proton to allow me to customize plan as per my need. Currently, I have monthly subscription to Proton mail and I want to use Proton Pass but not Proton VPN. The only way to get another service (proton pass, in my case) with an existing service (proton mail, in my case) is by upgrading to Unlimited plan which cost USD 12.99 for a month (USD 10 per month for yearly plan effectively USD 120 for 12 months in one go) I don't have that lump sum money parked in my account.   12. security practice or training in a safe environment

    Proton has a security review page which is great. https://account.proton.me/u/0/pass/recovery

    A feature allowing people to practice recovering an account in a safe space is appreciated. Then I can feel more comfortable with the process without harming my existing account.

    Perhaps this could be part of an education / setup / review / training system.

  13. Offer a premium plan for Proton Calendar that’s separate from Mail Plus

    I would like to have access to the premium features of Proton Calendar, like having more than 3 calendars, being able to customize the colors or share calendars with other accounts, but I don’t need Mail Plus. I have specific needs for my email hosting and Proton Mail Plus is not the best option for them, so I have another paid email provider. I would be happy to pay 1€ per month to access the premium features of Proton Calendar, but paying the price of Mail Plus (around 4 or 5€ per month) just to get the calendar is too…

  14. default 2fa setting

    Allow the user to set the default 2fa, with the effect that the default 2FA is displayed first. I use 1Password password manager. For Proton, I use both a security key and an authenticator. Proton insists on prompting for a security key and showing authenticator as an alternative. I almost never use the security key; it is my backup. But this behavior by Proton, prompting for the security key, prevents my password manager from getting me logged all of the way in automatically.

    I currently have to click the authenticator tab. When I do that, my password manager takes over…

  16. Unlicenced Admin Account

    Best practice is to have a separated dedicated unlicensed Admin account.
    I do not like that my regular account also has Admin access, and would like to setup a separate account for this, however I would have to pay for an additional license.

  17. Proton Visionary for Single User

    I would love to support Proton by subscribing to the Visonary plan, however, I am the only one in my family that would be using it and I don't want to have to pay for 6 Family accounts.

    I currently have Proton Duo (So that I have support for SMTP) and I would love access to Proton Wallet, however, having to pay almost $80AUD isn't feasible.
