Hi, alternative payment option for australians who want a paid a/c ,but do not use credit cards or online payments methods --it's easy with BPAY at post offices in australia.Lots of businesses use it. ie , A proton customer could open free proton a/c then upgrade it when proton sends payment details to the a/c holder, such as customer ref.number--a/c name /payee & BPAY billing code & amount in australian dollars. The proton customer can the go to P.O & get a proton paid a/c. SIMPLE. THANKS--Pete

Pricing plan for personal use
As a personal ProtonMail user, I think the plus plan has too many features (and therefore, too expensive). I would suggest a similar pricing plan but without some of its features:
- 5 addresses (since it's for personal use only, 1 is enough);
- Custom domain (usually most common users are ok with using the email provider's domain, however there could be a drop menu allowing the user to add a custom domain to the plan);
- Autoresponder (this feature looks useful on enterprise plans when you need to show some instant feedback when contacting support for example, doesn't look…25 votes -
Add more payment methods available internationally.
Add some payment methods that are available world-wide in all countries.
How about your own Debit or Pre-Paid Card or Gift Card or Western Union, Money Gram etc. it would make payment`s easier that way.11 votes -
12$ Annual Plan & 24$ Annual Plan
Why not have a bit cheaper plans for people who don't want all the features and storage? 48$ seems way to much to pay for email annually.. Maybe Let people upgrade only the bits they desire, like I see you do with storage. Might encourage more people to pay into the system, Although it could backfire and your current customers may pay less.

Temporarily store 2-step verification
As it’s already (welcome) extra work to enter two passwords, could 2-step verification be implemented so that known devices would only need to be verified again every 30 days or so?
At the moment, with 2-step verification enabled, even a page reload triggers triple authentication, which makes the added security a poor experience.

Ability to choose which identity to keep when going back to a free plan.
Please add the feature to allow paid users to decide which identity they get to keep if they return to the free plan.
I signed up with a protonmail.ch address but found myself mostly giving people my protonmail.com address. I want to go back to a free plan now but not being able to change my primary identity to the .com address is a problem.

Free Trial for Protonmail Premium + cleaner tutorial
I have turned several people on to proton mail and by far the coolest feature is organizing emails based on content/delivery. If you gave a one month free trial for Protonmail Plus I'm sure all of the people I recommended protonmail to would stay with it as their primary email.
On top of that having a walkthrough for individuals using new premium features would help with adding more long term adoption.

I would like to see the option to setup auto renew subscription option through Mac OS & iOS that would allow me to set auto renew subscription for payed accounts as I generally prefer to run all my subscription payments through the Apple Account.

ProtonMail uses signup Methods that de-anonymize
When signing up with a VPN, to pass the spam filter, I am forced to prove I'm human by using a method that reveals my identity or location... I can "donate" with a card or use "SMS" revealing location
If I am offered and choose the email verification option, the filter rejects my privacy focused countermail address.
If I apply from my Verizon IP address, everything goes well.
What is the point of this service if it forces potential users to ID themselves? There are methods around this but they are quite a bit of effort.
If the goal is…

Paysafe cards as future payment option?
Totally anonymous AND easy. Simply walk into your next store - even ordinary grocery stores sell them now - and buy one. So what's keeping you from accepting paysafe cards?

2FA with Yubico Authenticator
I use Yubico Authenticator, it works the same as Google Auth, but I noticed that I can use only one Yubikey, an improvement would be to allow multiple keys.

Option to permanently delete (unlink) aliases from ProtonMail account.
To protect ProtonMail user privacy and anonymity, we need an option to permanently unlink (delete) aliases from ProtonMail accounts.
Address counter can stay incremented, but the deleted identity (alias) should not be linked to the main account any more. Unlinked e-mail address should stay permanently disabled to prevent address recycling.
A 7, 14 or 30 day deletion waiting time can be implemented to prevent spammers from abusing ProtonMail aliases.

Provide option for 2FA that hassles me less often
Having to grab my phone and get a code from Authy every time I want to check my mail is a major PITA. Google only asks for your second-factor authentication
A) every 30 days or
B) when you use a new app to login or
C) when you use a new machine to loginB and C are obviously required. Now, Google's 30-day period before reauthenticating might be too long, but I think users should be able to select how often then want to be required to provide a second-factor code. Allow users to require 2FA every time if they…

Retain free account features if direct debit payment for vpn defaults?
I set up a free account, then upgraded to the 10e monthly direct debit for the vpn service, but unfortunately my circumstances then changed and I could no longer afford it.
Obviously the vpn service ceased to work, which is fine, but I am also now unable to use the 'free' features the address previously had, and had no option but to open a new free account.
Might I suggest, that it might be better to block only the paid features in such cases, as it may put off those whose circumstances are less predictable from upgrading. Particularly as the…

Altcoins payment
Please accept altcoins payments, not only Bitcoins, which is losing momentum.
You could integrate with BitPay, CoinPayments or ShapeShift.io
This would be convienent and possibly a move towards privacy since many altcoins are geared towards anonymous transactions (Monero, Zcash, Zcoin, Dash, etc)

Visionary Multi-User Support
Instead of creating new Member within the Organisation, let us "add" People that already have an Protonmail Account to our Organisation.
The benefit of that is, the Member will keep it's own Account even after he leaves the Organisation and the Admin/Visionary User just have to allocate the Addresses and Storage!
Simply said: The Admin Creates the Organisation and Add Member with their existing Protonmail Address. If the Member is on a Free Plan, he will get the benefit from the Visionary User.
When the Member leaves the Organisation, he will then fall back to the Free Plan.55 votes -
