Proton data centers all over the world under driveways and sidewalks and parking lots?
One thing I've noticed is that loading can be a bit slow and you probably need processing power in various locations. I was wishing for something to melt the snow on my driveway this morning, and thought of waste heat from data centers. So! How about I give you a free lease on the land under my driveway, you tap into my power and water infrastructure, you stuff a lil data center under the driveway and it melts my snow in winter?
If you did a bunch you could do distributed data centers all over the frozen north.

End-to-End Encrypted Investment Portfolio Manager
I'd like to propose a new Proton service: an end-to-end encrypted portfolio manager that would complement Proton Wallet.
Similar to services like Finanzfluss Copilot or Parqet Portfolio Manager or even Google Finance, this would be a comprehensive investment tracking tool where users can:
Track stocks, ETFs, bonds, crypto, and other investments
Monitor portfolio performance with real-time market data
Analyze asset allocation and diversification
View historical performance and returns
Track dividends and capital gainsUnlike existing portfolio managers, all user data would be end-to-end encrypted. Only the user would have access to:
What they've invested in
How much they own

Easy to find, site-map
Dear Proton Team,
I hope this email finds you well. I'm a 63-year-old user trying to understand what's included in my current subscription plan, but I've found the account dashboard quite difficult to navigate.
After spending several minutes clicking through various links, I eventually found a "compare plans" option, but it only directed me to a list of apps at https://account.proton.me/apps.
I was particularly looking for information about the Documents feature in Proton Drive — I don't see it listed in the apps, and I'm wondering if it has been discontinued or removed from my plan. If it's not…

Proton Text to speech engine
How about a proton text to speech engine? There is a private one named Sherpa text to speech engine. Check here: https://github.com/k2-fsa/sherpa. The google/samsung ones are privacy nightmares. Lumo and other proton apps would have the ability to integrate with it.

Mail: Bad dark mode UX for email signatures
Proton Mail corrupts my own signature when composing emails in dark mode. For no good reason, signatures draft as light mode blocks, in an otherwise entirely dark mode platform.

Proton Guardian: Anti-Spyware Solution for Deep-Level Security
Introducing Proton Guardian: Advanced Anti-Spyware for Deep Security
The idea of launching a dedicated anti-spyware tool under the Proton brand—let's call it Proton Guardian—could provide Proton users with a comprehensive security solution. This tool would scan systems for spyware, detect deep-level security vulnerabilities, and provide actionable solutions. With Proton's commitment to privacy, Proton Guardian could become a trusted choice for users looking to enhance their system's security against malware and spyware, building on Proton's reputation for privacy-focused services.

Windows: Open ics file should create the event automatically in Proton Calendar
It is not currently possible to set Proton Calendar as default calendar app on Windows.
An easy workaround would be to set Proton as the default app to open .ics file, so that double clicking on a downloaded ics file opens it in Proton Mail/Calendar and adds the event. At the moment the only way is top drag & drop the file on Proton Calendar, which is annoying when done from the web browser.

Simple Login: Support DMARC reports
Currently SimpleLogin supports DMARC for user contolled domains, although does not provide the integrated possiblity to monitor dmarc for anomalies.
As such it would be a great addition to include the functionality to send dmarc reports (via the
rua/ruftag) to a simplelogin controlled email.
This would allow users to monitor for possible misconfigurations, and if emails might be abused, by third parties if there are DKIM/SPF failures.
It would be nice, if human readable reports can be generated out of this and if they were optionally send on a regular basis (e.g. once a month) to the…4 votes -
Server capacity & disconnection issues
Hello ProtonVPN Support Team,
I’m using ProtonVPN free and facing serious problems while connecting:
Because nearby servers (e.g., Netherlands, Poland, Romania) are often full, I’m frequently routed to very distant servers like Singapore or Japan, which causes high latency.
While connected, sometimes the server suddenly reaches capacity or, due to my modem’s same-SSID issue (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz switching), the connection drops and I’m forced onto another server. This makes online games disconnect instantly.
When I try to switch servers multiple times, the client enforces a long cooldown, which forces me to wait unnecessarily.
Since free servers are very…

Proton Phone with ProtonOS and Integrated AI
I would like to suggest a Proton Phone that runs either on a dedicated ProtonOS or a Proton-customized Android. This phone would feature a system-wide AI assistant like LUMO and have all Proton services—Mail, VPN, Calendar, Drive, Proton Pass, and more—fully integrated from the start.
By replacing default services like Google with Proton equivalents (e.g., Proton Pass for passwords), users would have full privacy across the entire device and enhanced security options. Such a phone would provide a seamless, secure, and privacy-focused experience, making it much easier to manage subscriptions and Proton services.
This could represent a major step forward…

Proton Boost
Could we have a Proton plan that is in-between Mail Plus and Proton Unlimited? We could call it Proton Boost. It would cost $5.99 (or if needed I suppose $6.99).
It would include features of:
+ 1 user
+ 1 custom email domain
+ 10 email aliases/addresses
+ 300 GB of storage
+ Feature access to 15 calendars
+ Feature access to 10 high-speed VPN connections
+ Feature access to Proton Drive (300 GB)
+ Proton Sentinel programStudying as a student, a plan like thus would be helpful to maintain the privacy needed but also help with the affordability!…

A privacy-first fundraiser needs a privacy-proof checkout (Proton Wallet / no KYC)
I want to support Proton via the 2025 Lifetime Fundraiser raffle, but the current “crypto” checkout can require BitPay KYC (name, address, ID). That’s fundamentally incompatible with a privacy-first fundraiser: it requires supporters to hand sensitive identity documents to a third-party processor just to buy a raffle ticket.
Please add a privacy-proof crypto checkout with a direct “Pay with Proton Wallet” option: generate a unique Bitcoin address/QR per order, confirm the on-chain payment, then issue the raffle ticket automatically.

File Integration between Mail and Drive ( Attach / save )
It would be amazing to be able to do the following:
- Attach files to Proton Mail directly from Proton Drive (as link or as file)
- Save files from emails to Proton Drive
- Mass save attachments to Proto Drive2,678 votes -
Google Suite
Honestly, just copy everything Google does with their contacts, calendar, notes, tasks, etc. It's super frustrating that their suite of applications is as excellent as it is for such an evil company.
I'm finding it very difficult to make the move over to Proton because of missing features.

Beef up passkeys by requiring hardware security key or 2fa code authentication
I am concerned with how easy it is to activate passkeys with Proton Pass. Let's say that someone's child or sibling were using their computer and snooped at their account, either on purpose or on accident. If that account doesn't have a passkey they would have to at least click through to autofill the username/password boxes, which at that point their conscious would tell them this is wrong and they might turn back (we can hope!). But if that account uses a passkey, it is as easy as clicking the pop-up and it is easier for someone to be tempted…
