3. a decentralized app store

   Similar to apkmirror or aurora store, it could work cross-platform, so we don't have to use Google on Android, Microsoft on Windows, or if one simply wants to explore apps, without border restrictions, it could link the vpn to the store so it doesn't apply changes due to where your Google account is based or geolocation

    I would like to propose the development of a Proton hardware password manager, similar in concept to Ledger (used for crypto), but designed specifically for secure credential storage and input, while fully aligned with Proton's privacy principles.

12. Filters and Automations improvements

    I'd like to have extended functionalities for filters, relying more on automations that are triggered at regular custom timers or events, instead of only "as a new email is received".

    I'd like to have these:

    1) New Automation criteria:
    • Emails that are older or newer than "X days/weeks/months";
    • Email status as "read" or "unread";
    • Email location (folder);
    • Attachment size is lower or higher than X (to label them as "bulky").
    • "Without answer" (to detect all emails we sent which didn't receive answers).
    This would allow automations such as: if the email is older than 1 day AND it contains "access code", then Delete it. Or delete it sooner if it's also "read".

    2) Ability to remove labels from emails if the updated filter doesn't involve them anymore. As much as there is an option for affecting old emails to add a new label, should be able to have a feature to retroactively remove labels if criteria aren't met anymore.

13. AI Shield

    End to End encryption will become a moot point as far as privacy is concerned once AI becomes integrated into OS. Microsoft has made it clear that it wants copilot to be "An AI companion for everyone" and "see what we see and hear what we hear", NVidia wants to copilot everything. It's currently opt in, but if history has taught us anything, that won't last as soon as MS has finished bringing the frogs to a boil. So, even if it's end to end encrypted, it will be as private as someone standing over your shoulder watching everything you do, except it's someone with perfect memory, that's likely sending that info to their boss (hint, that will never be you). Seeing as MS has already been caught unlocking/scanning encrypted files by trying passwords you had saved with them in One drive, sharepoint and teams, this suspicion is neither unlikely nor alarmist. In fact, there's a good chance it won't require you interacting with Proton apps, it'll just help itself to the data to "improve your user experience" or something. So to maintain privacy Proton would need to develop something that stops AI from being able to see or read the info, which AI will be able to do in any manner that you (the user) can meaningfully interact with or view it. A product that sandboxes and blocks AI from viewing your Proton data when accessed would be nice. I'd assume Apple and (definitely) Google native apps will benefit from this layer of privacy and security also. 14. Add better filter/sort for Inbox in Proton Mail

    While filters allow you to set up rules for moving emails to other folders, I find when I do that I often miss important emails because I watch my inbox but don't have time to regularly go through every folder. When it's time to clean out my inbox (currently have 357 unread messages), it's nice to go through them by sender. I can sort by the size of the email or the receipt date, but not by sender. I can type in a filter at the top, but I have to remember to check "Inbox" or it shows me everything. I'm not particular about the mechanism, but a few options would be: sorting by sender; having saved searches I can flip between; or making Inbox the default on searches, whether globally or through an option I can change. The saved search filters would be particularly nice, but just adding a sort option for Sender, and maybe Subject, would be nice.

15. Customizable animated avatar for Lumo

    Hey Lumo team,

    I love the animated Lumo avatar, but it would be awesome to let users customize it. A few ideas:

    • Theme picker – dark, neon, minimalist, etc . & Upload your own short GIF/PNG (with an optional “animation off” toggle for low‑bandwidth mode).
    • Live preview before saving, so we can see how it looks in‑chat.

    Having a personal avatar would make the experience feel more “me” and keep the vibe fresh. Thanks for considering!

16. Moving rows/cells in Proton Docs

    Currently, if I insert a table into a document in Proton Docs, I can not move the row or cells afterwards.

    This seems like a missing feature or even a bug that has been overlooked the past months, because the icon to move things is there, but it doesn't do anything if clicked or dragged.

18. Tails OS and Proton AG

    I'll address this as a problem, not an opinion. First, the Proton Pass and Proton VPN Tor (Firefox) extensions don't work at all on Tails OS, and no Linux apps, especially Proton Mail Bridge, work properly (in .deb format). I know Tails OS is a Linux distribution focused on security and high-level privacy, but Proton and its privacy mission are excellently supported. My journalist colleagues and I have been using Proton Mail for a long time, and it's an indispensable service for us. I urge the Proton team to address this issue as soon as possible. If possible, contact Tails OS and request that a repository containing Proton products (using Tor+https) be added to the Snaptic app store. I understand this request will be difficult to accept and may be rejected, but please, please, bring joy to the thousands of Tails users who use Proton for us.

20. Account Lockdown

    Sometimes we do our best to secure our private information and data - this could be by using ProtonPass to store emails and passwords or ProtonMail for secure communication.

    Despite this, things can go wrong and in some cases, do go wrong. There are various ways third-parties can attempt to access our account to get the vital information we store, so what happens when they do?

    Maybe an ex-partner found out your password or you fall victim to a phishing attack; your data exposed, computer maybe hacked - you may not realise it, but at any second someone could access your account.

    Regardless of how they have got access, your main goal at that point is to secure your account. Terminate all session (except active one) change password, backup information etc.

    Time is of the essence…..but you have to log into Proton via web browser. Input your password, maybe you have a security key (spare stolen) or use 2fa (its own source compromised) time is moving on and you haven’t even loaded in yet. What are you to do? How do you know what had been read, what account do you start reviewing?

    I propose “Proton Account Lockdown” or “Proton Emergency Lock”

    A shortcut powered by one of the proton apps, perhaps in widget form.

    If you get that dreadded message of a new login, which you did not do, you simply press the widget.

    This start an automated process which “locks down” your account; all sessions logged out, emergency message sent to your email, backup email and phone number.

    Only your current session, or if you are using a PC, tablet or mobile device, your device-only sessions remain logged in.

    If on mobile and you had this setting, you could choose what Proton apps stay logged in on your current device.

    To regain access you have to use your chosen option (Securty key, backup code, 2FA)

    This instant (almost) response saves precious time, allowing you more time to secure your data and information.
