  1. PDF compression service

    Something similar to what Adobe offers: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/online/compress-pdf.html but privacy first

  5. Mail + Drive plan

    Plan for mail and 1TB drive. I get the other bundling but it feels a bit like cable. Let the users pick the permutation and compute the price/discount on the fly. My use case for Proton is emailing and delivering large files to my clients.

    Hopefully SimpleLogin is added to that list of bundled services.

  6. Allow to download full albums from Proton Drive (Photos)

    I want to download all of my albums from Proton Drive (Photos) web interface to my laptop - but I can't find a way. I need to open each album manually, and click download - which takes a long time. Would be great to be able to checkmark individual albums from the album view, and allow actions like download, delete, etc.

  7. Add a "Proton Docs" category to the forum

    Currently, Proton Docs lacks a dedicated category on this forum. This forces users to post Proton Docs feedback in the "General Ideas" forum, which could potentially slow down the app’s development. Therefore, I formally request that a dedicated category for Proton Docs be added to the forum. Thank you for your attention and your valuable time.

  8. Display calendar import failures in English, not machine language

    When importing a .ICS file to Proton Calendar, some calendar entries will not successfully import. The user can view the errors, which are displayed in machine language (i.e. the numerical ID for the calendar entry) instead of the name of the calendar entry (i.e. "Steve S's Anniversary"). Therefore, without significant effort, it's not possible to know which calendar entries did not successfully import to Proton Calendar.

  9. Support recurring annual calendar entries which fall on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or last weekday of the month.

    From Proton Calendar, allow the user to create a recurring annual calendar entry which fall on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or last weekday of the month. For example, US Thanksgiving is always on the 4th Thursday of November. US Memorial Day is always on the last Monday of May. Allow the user to create ad-hoc recurring events similar to those 2 examples within Proton Calendar.

    This will also benefit the calendar import feature, as imported calendar entries following the above recurrence rule fail to import currently, since their recurrence pattern is not currently supported by Proton Calendar.

  10. How do I convert archived MSG emails into PDF for legal documentation?

    I have a folder of old Outlook MSG files from a completed client project. Some emails are part of legal communication and need to be saved in PDF format for long-term records. The files include sender details, dates, message body, and attachments. I do not want to open every MSG file one by one and print it manually. What is the safest way to convert MSG files into PDF while keeping the email details readable?

  11. Newsletters Disable Option

    Please allow subscribers to disable Proton's annoying "Newletters" function. There is no reason for Proton to categorize emails in this manner unless you guys are keeping track of the types of emails people get and selling that info to marketers. It's invasive and akin to snooping on your part. If I needed an annoying "email categorizing" function, I would use gmail.

  13. Markdown notes app

    Markdown app request

    A secure, private markdown notes app would:
    * Open new revenue opportunities
    * Extend Proton’s privacy ecosystem
    * Expand customer's digital workflows
    * Leverage existing encryption technology
    * Clearly meet user demand (well, at least mine)
    * Reinforce the promise of “privacy by design.”

    I am using Obsidian and really like it, yet unencrypted notes on my devices is a significant concern.

  14. A Pronton USB drive, for storing files on a physical device.

    I like the Proton Drive, but a Proton pen drive for offline file storage would be interesting; I just don't know if I'd have access to buying one in my country.

  15. More a question

    Is there a good chance that the new Euro-office is to be integrated in the proton ecosystem? It would be great and if all proton features work together you would have a great workspace.

  16. Privacy-first local media compression & conversion tool (Photos & Videos)

    I would like to propose a privacy-first media compression and conversion tool that runs entirely on local devices (PC and smartphones), without uploading any photos or videos to external servers.

    Description:
    This application would allow users to safely compress and convert images and videos directly on their own devices.
    By leveraging human visual perception–aware compression methods, media files can be significantly reduced in size while preserving visual quality and original resolution (pixel dimensions).

    Users could optionally convert media into next-generation formats such as AVIF, JPEG XL, or AV1, choosing between compatibility-focused or efficiency-focused options.
    All processing would be performed locally,…

  17. Shared Android Account Authentication Across Proton Apps

    Implement unified account authentication across Proton's Android apps, similar to Google and Yandex ecosystems. Once a user signs in to one Proton app, that account should be available for other Proton apps on the same device without requiring repeated manual login.

    Description:
    Currently, Proton apps on Android require separate sign-in for each app, even when the user is logging into the same Proton account. This creates unnecessary friction. If a user is already authenticated in Proton Mail, apps like Proton VPN or Proton Pass should be able to detect and reuse that existing account session instead of asking for login…

  18. Copy Google Workspace

    Simply copy all functionalities from Google Workspace while preserving privacy. The way their tools work smoothly and are interconnected is inspiring. Companies need a fully integrated ecosystem, and GWS achieves this perfectly. If you want to be their competitor, just adopt those functionalities.

  19. Change push notifications from Apple or google play services, to an ecosystem agnostic option

    It would be great to be able to use Proton’s apps and services without needing to rely on Apple’s Push Service or Google Play Services for Push notifications. This way we can use Proton Services without needing to install microG or activating Play Services.

  20. Support for Storing and Using NFC Cards in Proton Pass Mobile App

    Proton Pass currently focuses on passwords, identities, and secure notes, but it does not support NFC cards, which are widely used for physical access control and transportation systems.

    I propose adding a feature that allows users to scan, store, and emulate NFC cards directly from the Proton Pass mobile app, making it possible to access secure areas (e.g., server rooms) or use public transportation cards without carrying the physical card.

    This functionality would improve convenience and security, especially for professionals who manage multiple access cards or users who want an all-in-one digital wallet integrated with Proton Pass.
