  2. Putting priority on the development of mobile applications, investing more in web versions does not make sense

I think prioritizing the environment where the overwhelming majority of users are is indisputable, but here we are seeing strange behavior, the web versions are very developed, while the mobile apps seem abandoned.
Which doesn't make sense, since most people don't even know that there is a web version of their apps.

  4. Dead VPN sessions

Several times each day, the Proton VPN session dies.

When this happens, most network services continue to load, such as non-Proton websites. However, Proton platform services stop working. Proton Mail fails to load emails.

The VPN client reports a normal, healthy connection status. Yet Proton services are unreachable.

As a workaround, I have to frequently disconnect and then reconnect to VPN.

I'm using the default, fastest VPN servers available.

Please fix how Proton services integrate with Proton VPN.

Please ensure that the Proton VPN apps indicate when connectivity to the Proton platform breaks down.

Please implement automatic VPN reconnection when…

  6. 2025 Summer Roadmap Feedback

I've been using Proton for about nine years and have always been enthusiastic and supportive, but now I'm beginning to wonder if Proton has jumped the shark. For the past couple of years almost all development effort seems toward serving recovering Google addicts. I was never deep into the Googleshere, yet one of the reasons that I switched to Proton was to have an un-Google experience. I think it is a bad policy for any company to try to serve the whims of customers: better to do what you are good at and provide services that are sound and well…

  8. Proton educational

Currently some governments are using services provided by Google for education. As an examples,Catalonia, public universities or most of primary / secondary schools are using google as mail, drive, etc.

With current Proton infrastructure, would be great, to provide to those governaments some special price / conditions to use proton infrastructure as default, so introducing the cybersecurity concepts for our kids and students since the begging, preventing that first they get familiar with platforms like Google, instead having proper mindset from the scratch.

  9. Increased view density option

Coming from Gmail, I am used to having three options for display density- Default, Comfortable and Compact. In Proton, the compact option still leaves too much space both in the LH folder/tag pane, and in the email listing. I suggest adding another density option. Since Compact is already used, the choice of Default may need to be added and then increase the density on the two existing options.

  10. Host / run a MobileCoin (MOB) Consensus Validator Node

MobileCoin is a privacy-focused, open-source, fast, and efficient payments blockchain and protocol. It was designed with lightweight mobile and web use-cases in mind. Transactions execute and sync lightning-fast, fully confidential, and, thanks to community-led efforts to offset its (comparatively low) emissions, carbon-negative.

Hosting additional Consensus Validator Nodes strengthens the MobileCoin ecosystem and underscores Proton's commitment to financial privacy going forward.

  11. Option to edit an existing filter on the fly instead of creating new ones

The existing filter button within the card of an e-mail currently only makes it possible to create new filters, as far as I know.
Yet, this leads to a lot of filters that sometimes could just be grouped in the Logical definitions, by adding AND/OR conditions.
It would be nice to be able to edit those existing filters directly from an e-mail instead of going to the settings and pasting whatever e-mail address or topic should be filtered.

    Cheers

  16. Hello, Proton Community! New ideas here :)

I AM NOT AN OFFICIAL PROTON TEAM MEMBER

It’s been a while since I asked, but my plan is to go along and ask you, “what do you really want for Proton?” all in one thread and you can share your links to user voice posts. Also hopefully Proton gets their hands on this (i’m hoping.)

What do you really want? What do you want implemented? What do you feel is overdue? What have they done to you?

    Share it here.

                                                        Fire away. ⬇️

  17. Add filter action to send UnifiedPush notifications

Add a filter action which would allow you to send a UnifiedPush notification when the filter criteria have been met. UnifiedPush is a decentralized push notification system that lets you choose the service you want to use. It’s designed to be privacy-friendly, flexible, and open - see https://unifiedpush.org. I use the NTFY app on my de-Googled GrapheneOS phone for push notifications from most of my apps.

Being able to write e-mail filter(s) that send me a push notification (without involving Google or Google Play Services) would be very helpful in handling my e-mail inbox. ProtonMail only has Google-based push…

  18. User Voice duplicate ideas causing split of votes

Using this forum, proton's uservoice you can find multiple post requesting the exact same missing feature which makes it difficult to vote. Having eventually the votes for a similar feature request split into many posts and never get enough votes.

  19. Auto-Tagging by Catchall or plus code

Currently, any tag must be manually created which can be very time consuming if one was to apply a tag for different catchall addresses or plus coded emails. I would like the option to have any email that is addressed to a catchall address to automatically generate a tag based on the name of the catchall(or +code) To aid in managing this, it would also be great if users could select these auto generated tags (that apply to specific reciepients) and combine them so that all future emails would come in with the one tag. For example, if I had…

  20. Personal Data Removal

A new service focused around removing personal data from sites like TruePeopleSearch and Whitepages. Since the whole idea of Proton is focused around privacy, I believe it would make a great addition to the current services provided by Proton. It would make it a perfect tool for new users who getting into privacy control and for current users who are serious about their privacy. Let me know what you guys think!
