1. Offer a GitHub-like product that uses Proton products like Drive and Pass for the backend.

   It was just a thought that occurred to me, for I think many developers consider their codebases to be a trade secret and Proton may be the best way to keep it safe from prying eyes.

3. Bitte offizielle APK der Proton Authenticator App bereitstellen

   Die App ist gelungen und passt gut ins Proton-Ökosystem.
   Allerdings wäre es sehr hilfreich, wenn ihr eine fertige APK-Datei direkt zum Download anbietet – wie bei Proton Mail oder VPN.

   Das manuelle Erstellen der APK ist für Nutzer ohne Vorkenntnisse kaum machbar und schreckt viele ab. Eine offizielle APK wäre eine einfache, vertrauenswürdige Lösung für alle ohne Play Store.

4. Proton Mobiler Messenger

   Ein mobiler Proton Messenger wäre m. E. eine gute Alternative zu anderen mobilen Messengern wie WhatsApp, Signal oder Signal, die offensichtlich mehr oder weniger Daten sammeln und so auch an Daten von Kontakten gelangen können. In welchem Umfang ist nicht wirklich klar.
   Dabei sollte ein Proton Messenger auch mit anderen Messengern kommunizieren können, wo der Proton Messenger bei der Nutzung automatisch Proton VPN aktiviert. Ich selbst vergesse schon mal das Proton VPN einzuschalten, womit diese Automatik sehr nützlich wäre.

6. displaying emails on the smartphone application

   Adapt the display of email content for reading on a smartphone.

   It is clearly easier to read a "gmail" email than a "protonmail" one. On the latter you have to zoom in and scroll from left to right to read the content.

   Hi, it is already possible to "Always label sender e-mail. This is nice but has an important pitfall: when using SimpleLogin's e-mail, the sender's e-mail is always different, as far as I understand.

10. Configure spellchecker language in desktop app

    In a browser, Proton Mail benefits from the browser functions to spell check. In the new Proton Mail installed application, the language cannot be configured or I do not know how to do it...

    It would be very useful to be able to configure the spell checker language for people that are writing in a language that is different than the OS language used.

12. Proton Gateway for all services

    The idea would be to have secure gateways (managed by Proton AND the community, via a Proton installer and/or procedure) with no logging capability whatsoever, systematically masking the IPs that "Proton services" can see. These gateways would be "black boxes" for those who install them at home, ensuring that absolutely no data or logs could be retrieved or used.

    Let me explain: Similar to what SimpleX.chat does, for example, these relay servers/gateways would be systematically contacted by Proton apps (mobile, desktop, etc.), masking the use of Proton services (especially if connected to a server managed by a community member) and hiding the user's IP address.

    Of course, all of this would be fully encrypted, and the servers would automatically run within the client application, either with each request or after 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week... configurable by the user, so that each configuration is different and prevents statistical surveillance.

    In the long term, and within the limits of technical feasibility, mask and encrypt the email addresses of senders and recipients in ProtonMail, so that even this data cannot be communicated.

    I believe the best way to deal with generalized surveillance demands is to make it technically impossible to provide information. We see today that more and more activists, whistleblowers, journalists, and even ordinary citizens are victims of surveillance or police harassment, and this will not stop. We therefore need to find new ways to ensure that our private lives remain private.

16. Provide public bug trackers for all projects.

    You already provide a public feature request tracker, with UserVoice. For some repositories on GitHub, you leave issues enabled, which allows users to publicly report bugs (where they aren't restricted to function as discussions). Extend that capability to all repositories, so that users with diagnostic knowledge can report bugs that aren't necessarily able to submit PRs for (often due to outdated code).
