This really feels out of scope of what they are trying to provide. Not saying I don't want a privacy focused browser but they are not really in that space.

Oh yes, well said, no other browser is worth it. Google and its ilk are so powerful that, with millions of dollars at their disposal, they can either buy everything up or implement themselves into a programme that the general public believes to be secure.

I use DuckDuckgo browser, or the plugin in other browsers. But Duckduckgo doesn't accept plugins like Dashlane or Proton Pass.

I would love to see Proton collaborate with Firefox. Proton-enabled Firefox would be a boon for your users, and Proton would be able to provide a nice value-add and income stream for Firefox through new sign-ups.

Proton should contribute to Ladybird or Firefox instead.

Until it's not... Personally I rather use a browser by Proton than a small start up with no meat on their bones. As soon as Ladybird gets momentum and investors want to pay big time and the owners of it smell money it is bye bye to your privacy.

There is already a open source browser on the way called LADYBIRD and i think its exactly what you are looking for, Inndipendantly financed etc

I would Like to see a Browser like chrome, firefox, or Brave. But without the tracking and also it being based in the same location as protonmail would mean its secure and safe to use.

With companies like google buying up all the alternative browsers I think this a needed program/app. What good is the secure email when Chrome is snap shotting and keylogging your Proton Mail logins. I really think there should be a Proton Browser. Please add this.

I know everyone says certain browsers are good and some are bad but I would really like to see Proton make a superb browser. No sketchy things or alleged "spyware" like opera or brave and how some browser offer different levels of security and you can exactly tell what is better as the line is so blurred abut what some apps include and some dont.

Fingerprinting:
A high level of anti fingerprinting. Something that gurantees nothing gets through.

Onion:
Implementation and a switch for onion routing

Basically I cant make up much but a browser that gurantees the only thing that leaves your device is your search term and/or requested URL. No metadata, no device info, webrtc html5 canvas etc.

A true one size fits all browser with clearly defined protections

The reference or starting point always has to be Brave: the best privacy standard of all existing browsers.
