Proton Browser
Proton Browser
I would Like to see a Browser like chrome, firefox, or Brave. But without the tracking and also it being based in the same location as protonmail would mean its secure and safe to use.
With companys like google buying up all the alternative browsers I think this a needed program/app. What good is the secure email when Chrome is snap shoting and keylogging your protonmail logins.

Proton needs to provide a browser other than google or Microsoft to open a protonmail account. Otherwise, these organizations can grab our passwords and read our email content or provide to third parties.
This completely defeats the use of protonmail for privacy. -

It looks like I need a new browser. Brave in the meantime, but looking forward to what ProtonMail can build. Thank you.

Please develop a Proton Browser. Big Tech is censoring political speech that they disagree with. Freedom lovers in every country need secure technology whether inside China or Hong Kong, Europe, Russia, or now the USA. We need an ecosystem of technology that is outside the reach of Big Tech. The most immediate need is a browser. Mozilla is no friend of freedom.

I'm considering further de-Googling my life, and a Proton Internet browser sounds very appealing. I'd love to see you outdo Google. But can you also outdo Tor?

Please don't do this. Brave amd Firefox already have this covered and maintaining a good browser is expensive.

The browser would have mail, VPN built into the system. Full protection from monitoring.

Cesear you don't have use ads just turn them off, in Brave, did you every think about that? How every It would be nice to have a better Browser that is Many thing I don't like in Brave and I can Personally improve if I had the skills. Brave Lacks many security features that Firefox already has, and some that is not imputed. Chrome aka Google Spies on your ass so bad, I am glad Brave came about but I would love to see Improvements. That is why I wished Proton would make their own.

"Ad-Free" here is a compound adjective and as such needs a hyphen. The adjectives "Proton" and "Web" both modify the noun "Browser", but "Ad" and "Free" do not. An alternative first-pass reading is "Proton Ad: Free Web Browser", where "Ad" is a free-standing noun, and this is a valid description -- but this is not what is meant.

Hi, Problem: Edge, Chrome, other web browsers have 4 ad links shown on the top of the web search results which waste users time and productivity. Turn problem into your $$$ opportunity by launching a proton web browser where premium customers have the option to toggle in setting to turn on/off the ad links (ad search results) from being displayed in the search results

Please develop a Proton Browser!!! And, if I have to give you an advice about the engine, use Chromium (stripping all the Google tracking code), because quite a few online services nowadays recommend Chrome for optimum performance: I have been using Brave for 2 years now (which is based in Chromium), but I'm giving up because Brave is making their rewards/ads campaigns intrusive and I don't like that. Brave was a great choice because it removed tracking while being compatible with all sites that are optimized for Chrome. This is why I suggest you to develop Proton Browser on top of Chromium.

On Linux use Chromium and Firefox is always a pretty secure browser. No need for another browser.

Brave works for me! It's a great privacy-based solution, and it was my first choice when switching from Chrome (and if anyone cares, I switched to Cozi for my shared family calendar solution, if anyone else is looking for an alternative to Google Calendar). The website Alternative To (alternativeto.net) is great for finding similar software alternatives.

Hm I think since the browser never crashes I activate only the last option. -

The new firefox has a build in programm called ping sender or so, you could deactivate he traffic for it, hm they say it is for collecting some data, and you can deactivate the data collecting funktions in the settings, they are active by default I thik.
You can use older firefox versions, maybe portable, or the tor browser that do not have this program. I am using the newest version at the moment because I do not really have something to hide.
