    Wouldn't it be nice an antivirus proton service? I mean it's very useful.
    Maybe a bit too much sofisticated? Dunno.

  2. Proton Apps exclusively only via Tor

    A function would have to be developed in the Proton apps that allows you to connect to the apps only via the Tor network, log in and retrieve the respective data.

    In other words, the apps would exclusively address the TOR hidden service and never communicate with the clearnet.

    This would represent an enhanced security measure. It should be an opt-in measure.

  3. Messaging & Voice-Video Calling app

    An alternative to (and combining the best of) WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, and MySudo - done the Proton way, part of the Proton ecosystem, with the Proton interface.

    • Likely based on the Signal platform
    • Offered as a separate plan or as part of the other package offerings
    • Does not require a phone number, but offers the option of Proton virtual numbers, and works with non-Proton virtual numbers
    • End-to-end encryption in peer-to-peer communications
    • Can call or message non-Proton numbers
    • Offers multiple profiles, each with unique phone numbers

  5. Official Flatpak support on Linux

    Flatpak is a modern packaging format for Linux distributions, with the advantages of:
    - working consistently across a wide array of distributions (thus making it much easier for developers to support any Linux distro)
    - relative independence from the underlying system, making it the only distribution channel for immutable distros like Fedora Silverblue and Steam OS
    - higher security due to its sandboxing

    As such, it'd be great if it was officially supported by Proton for all its native applications.

    It's true that the sandbox could potentially pose some limits to the app that might not be solvable via portals…

  8. Proton Docs - Paragraph Line Spacing

    Please adding paragraph line spacing. I generally like to list out things using new lines rather than a list function. The current spacing between new lines is about 2-3 times bigger than I'm willing to tolerate.

  9. Zoom Alternative

    Zoom has been caught out with E2E lies in the past. Also, they scrape user content for AI training. Not a platform that should be trusted. A Proton VC to multiple endpoints with private E2E across them all would be awesome.

  10. An app to merge other messaging apps (messenger, telegram etc.) and limit their access to our data

    Proton messaging app solves only a part of a problem, as we still have to use messenger, telegram, WhatsApp etc, so having an app that would merge them all in one place and most importantly, provide the security against them accessing our data, so that we don't have to install them on our devices on their terms. A secure intermediate app that nests them all in one place.

    Like the speed test from https://www.speedtest.net/ but secure and made by proton.

    I don't really trust any of these speed tests online to not sell my data. But I could trust Proton.

  13. Integrate an „inheritance process“ (for Proton Pass), triggered by death

    The comeptitor „Securesafe“ from Switzerland has an inheritance process: Once you die your inheritor can trigger a process where he/she will get access to your Proton Pass in order to access accounts/banks/email etc. This has to be approved by a third person that you name in advanced (in order to prevent fraud, e.g., when getting divorced).
    That way your familiy can take action to close accounts and access important data that used to be classed in files at home next to your desk but now will be stored safely and password protected for no one to be accessed by on…

  14. Login with Proton

    I love the convenience of logging into services with my Google account and use it often, though I know it makes me dependent on Google. Creating separate accounts with my email is too cumbersome. A 'Login with Proton' option on websites, like at https://app.simplelogin.io/auth/login, would be fantastic. As a web/app developer, I would definitely implement it in my apps if it's easy to use.

    I understand it takes time for websites to adopt new login options, but it won't happen if it doesn't exist. This would be a great way to enhance Proton's recognition on the web.

  15. Offline calendar access

    It would be great to be able to make calendar changes like create/delete events locally when offline, and sync when back online.

  16. Proton Guard: Anti-Virus, Potential Risk 4 File and URL Scanner and More

    As the title says it would be nice to get a upgraded version for anti virus,
    currently I use a different anti-virus and realtime protection where I also get a password manager. I think proton could be a really good anti virus provider for loads of people.

    Some features should be:
    - Category protection: We can select which category we are under like: GAMER, BUSINESS & CASUAL that would bring us more strict features or less with the type of protection.

  17. Configure spellchecker language in desktop app

    In a browser, Proton Mail benefits from the browser functions to spell check. In the new Proton Mail installed application, the language cannot be configured or I do not know how to do it...

    It would be very useful to be able to configure the spell checker language for people that are writing in a language that is different than the OS language used.

  18. Text message

    Proton messaging app

    I would like to see a proton messaging app which sends and receives end-to-end encrypted messages. Messages should be able to be received on Apple messages or other text messaging platforms. The option would be given to have it appear locked on the recipients end in Apple messages and you can open it with a code. You would also be able to receive messages from any messaging app.

    I am aware that there are messaging apps out there but they are a closed system as far as I’m aware.

  19. Support OpenDocument (.odt) format

    add the option to export to the OpenDocument format, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenDocument
    Supporting an open format is friendlier towards the user as they can more easily take their documents form and to ProtonDrive / ProtonDocs and it makes collaboration with other software easier.

  20. Add a 'scroll by year' scrollbar (like google photos) to the photos section of drive

    I just imported my 20 year archive of photo's into proton Photos.
    Currently there is no real way to navigate this collection except by spending the day scrolling.
    I personally really like the google photos 'scroll by year' feature. It works for me.
