2. Make a announcement specifiying the ethics of how Proton will approach AI

   It's hard to tell the extent to which AI will play a role in the future technological landscape, so it's important that Proton establishes and makes clear their ethics for designing AI products.

3. Add Monospace Option to Accessibility Font Family Setting

   The Accessibility font family setting (Settings > Appearance > Accessibility) currently offers a small set of proportional fonts. Adding a monospace option would meaningfully improve phishing resistance for security-conscious users.

   Monospace fonts make homoglyph attacks visible at a glance:
   - rn vs m — clearly two characters in monospace, nearly identical in proportional
   - l vs 1 vs I — distinct glyphs instead of ambiguous strokes
   - Cyrillic а vs Latin a — spacing differences become obvious
   - paypa1.com vs paypal.com — the 1 stands out immediately

   Feature Request:
   Add a "Monospace" option to the existing font family dropdown in Accessibility settings. When selected, apply a monospace font stack to email content rendering (including the message body iframe).

   Benefits:
   - Anti-phishing: Users can visually catch spoofed domains and lookalike characters in sender addresses, URLs, and email bodies
   - Zero new UI surface: Slots into the existing Accessibility font picker — one new option in an existing dropdown
   - Aligns with Proton's identity: Proton already markets itself as the security-first email provider. This is a small feature that reinforces that positioning
   - Accessibility overlap: Monospace fonts also benefit users with dyslexia or visual processing differences, since every character occupies the same width

   Implementation suggestion:
   Add "Monospace" as a new entry in the Accessibility font family dropdown. 4. [Proton Meet] Dedicated Proton Meet Category on the UserVoice Platform

   It would be very helpful to have a dedicated category for Proton Meet on the service/feedback platform, even while it is still in closed beta.

   At the moment, Proton Meet feature requests have to be posted in the general category, which makes them harder to find, track, and discuss. A separate category would improve visibility, feedback quality, and organization for both users and the Proton team.

9. Shared calendar with notifications

   It would be great if there were a shared calendar (e.g., "family") that notified all users of the calendar whenever somebody made a change, addition, or deletion. For example, if I added an appointment to the family calendar, all the other family members would be notified that I added something. Or if a family member changed an appointment, I would receive a notification that the appointment had been changed & by whom.

10. Privacy-conscious age verification application with double anonymity (and ideally on-device, zero-knowledge, and open source)

    Governments around the world, especially in Europe, are currently enforcing age verification for social media and other online platforms, in the name of protecting minors. The idea is commendable, but the way it is being done requires users to provide identification to a “trusted” third party and, above all, to link their real identity to their online identity, which completely undermines privacy. We have witnessed enough leaks lately to know that this data will eventually leak if it is stored.

    Proton could develop an age verification (or more generally, identity verification) application that could be used on social networks (or on Discord, to take something that is currently in the news) and allow users to prove the requested information (in this case, age, to use my example) without having to reveal their identity. The ideal solution would be an application with an on-device process, zero-knowledge proofs, double anonymity, and, if possible, open source. Without a database, there would be nothing to hack or leak.

    Proton has the expertise for this type of application and also the trust of its community. Even a partial implementation of the above requests would already be a big step forward compared to what is currently available on the market.

    As the name implies, to fully migrate both our business operations and personal communications to Proton, a Slack or Discord-like feature is essential. While this is undoubtedly a significant undertaking, I believe there is strong demand for a secure alternative to Slack, and many users, including myself, would be willing to pay for a solution that prioritizes privacy and security at Proton’s standard.

    Proton does great job with offering pseudonymity on the Internet. We need to take it one step further: for users who opt in, reliably verify their identity (maybe for a reasonable fee) and support various standards and protocols to answer questions like is this person an adult, does this person have driving license etc without revealing true identity.

    It's already May 2026, and 2027 is just 7 months away. The quantum computing threat is no longer a future concern — it's becoming a present reality. Current E2EE, while strong today, will not hold up against quantum attacks.
    Proton has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to privacy. Upgrading to Quantum-Safe Encryption (Post-Quantum Cryptography) across all Proton products — Mail, Drive, Calendar, VPN, and Pass — before the end of 2026 would be a massive step forward.
    NIST has already finalized post-quantum encryption standards. There's no reason to wait. If Proton acts now, it becomes the first major privacy platform to be fully quantum-safe — and that's a huge deal for the community.
    The goal is simple: by the time 2027 arrives, every single Proton product should already be protected with quantum-safe encryption. Not in progress — done.
    This is not just a feature request. It's about staying true to Proton's core promise of long-term privacy protection.

    I can't find the Proton Lumo below 'Give feedback' on the right column so I'm posting here.

    I'm using bots everyday and find the custom bot feature very important. Just some text config and a name for a custom bot should be nice.

    Sometimes the generic mood of the bot is not so prefered, a custom bot with fixed info to define a personal assistant in owner's style is good to have. The fitting style of language is better for conversation, like a pal, not a stranger.

    Some guys are with such custom bot and free: Gemini Gem, Instagram AI Studio.

19. Enhance Screen Reader Accessibility of Proton Web and Windows Apps

    As a user who relies on screen reader technology to access technology, I have found that the Proton iOS apps are generally well designed for use with Apple's native screen reader, VoiceOver, but the same cannot be said of the web versions of their apps and especially the Windows apps, which are in some cases almost entirely inaccessible for screen reader users.
    As a starting point, take what I imagine is your most popular core product, Proton VPN. The Proton VPN Windows app has numerous significant accessibility problems that make many basic features very hard to use and other features nearly impossible without sighted assistance.
    Some specific recommendations to start out:
    - Use standard Windows controls that comply with MSAA (Microsoft Active Accessibility) standards. These should just work out-of-the-box, more or less, and not require too much manual effort to make more accessible.
    - Ensure all your controls - buttons, tabs, links, menus, dropdowns, combo boxes, radio buttons, checkboxes etc - follow a logical tab order so that a user using the keyboard can easily navigate among controls on a view.
    - Ensure that all form controls (like those mentioned above) are clearly labeled with text that can be read by a screen reader. If the control doesn't contain any visual text (such as a magnifying glass icon as a search button), use alt text that will be detected and announced by screen readers.
    - Implement more comprehensive keyboard navigation support and make it easy for users to discover these keyboard commands. Usually, apps show a dialog of keyboard shortcuts when the user presses the question mark key.
    - Specifically, implement F6 to move from one section of the app to the next and shift+F6 to move to the prior section. Sections might be the main panel where connection info is displayed, the side bar, other distinct areas of the screen.

    As a user who relies on screen reader technology to access technology, I have found that the Proton iOS apps are generally well designed for use with Apple's native screen reader, VoiceOver, but the same cannot be said of the web versions of their apps and especially the Windows apps, which are in some cases almost entirely inaccessible for screen reader users.

20. Short link for creating new documents, emails, events, etc.

    Excerpt from get.new: .new is a domain extension exclusively for performing new actions online: any act that leads to creation can have a quick and memorable new shortcut associated with it. Help your customers take action faster. Less time clicking means more time creating.

    It would be extremely convenient to use proton.new for creating things in Proton. Everything I can think of:
    proton.new/doc - New document
    proton.new/sheet - New sheet
    proton.new/mail & proton.new/email - New email
    proton.new/event - New calendar event
    proton.new/meeting - New meeting

    I think the plural forms of the words should work, too: doc & docs, event & events, etc. You could also use the subdomain for this: docs.proton.new, mail.proton.new, etc.

    proton.new by itself or with an invalid path (proton.new/whatever) should lead to a dashboard where you can quickly select whether you are creating a new email, document, etc.
