Automatically select the correct vault based on active Chrome profile
I have multiple chrome profiles (for work, personal and school) and I have created a different Proton vault for each of these. It would be nice if I could associate a specific Chrome profile to each vault so that this vault is automatically active in that window without me manually having to change it. This would also automatically limit the number of autofill options I am shown to just one vault and would also ensure that the correct vault is always selected when saving a new password.

PGP encrypted export with public key
Enhance the PGP encrypted export in Proton Pass so that you can encrypt with a PGP public key instead of a password.

Authenticator app encrypted export
Allow user to set password to create encrypted export of the MFA codes. This feature is in many other apps, and prevents relying on cloud platforms (e.g. iCloud, Proton itself) to create & restore backups.

Authenticator app PIN code
Biometrics are not as secure as e.g. 6-digit PIN code. Other apps like 2FAS have this feature.

Distinguish "Vulnerable" passwords from "Weak" passwords in Pass Monitor
Currently the Pass Monitor lists all logins with passwords considered "Vulnerable" and "Weak" together in a long list with no apparent order. Combined with the observation that Proton Pass is fairly aggressive and inconsistent with what is considered "weak", the user will find it very difficult to prioritize for the most vulnerable passwords first.
Login entries with "Vulnerable" passwords should be focused and prioritized, grouped together at the top under a clearly marked "Vulnerable" category, and the others grouped below under a "Weak" category.

Previous password history on Proton Pass free plan
Proton Pass' free tier should include minimal password change history.
With this change, Proton Pass free would retain the previous password for a site - only one password, not full history. This would also incorporate minimal history for generated passwords (ex. last 1-2) to avoid situations where users generate/change passwords but they are not properly updated in Proton Pass.
Well aware that there needs to be a distinction between free and Pass Plus to encourage paid adoption. However, eliminating all history in the free tier causes frustration which impacts broader adoption.

Printing list of Passwords
I would like a feature where you can print a physical copy of some passwords so you can access them in an emergency situation in which no devices are available/No access to Proton Pass

Set default domain per vault
Instead of selecting a blanket default domain, tweak it to make it per vault. Hence, if I'm in a vault, the default domain is this vault's default domain. That way, when I switch vaults, I don't have to select a different domain.

Duplicate newly generated alias address to "confirm e-mail" field instead of generating another alias
The current Proton Chrome extension auto fill will input a new alias address in the "e-mail" field (e.g. ra.backboard536@passmail.net), but in the next "confirm e-mail" field the extension suggests to input yet another newly generated alias (e.g. ra.reverence973@passmail.net) when it should obviously just duplicate the one that was just generated (ra.backboard536@passmail.net)

Enhanced Search with Field-Specific Queries and Filters
As my vault currently contains nearly 1,000 items with Aliases (after moving from Bitwarden), finding specific entries quickly has become challenging. A more powerful, structured search syntax would significantly improve efficiency for all users with large vaults.
I propose implementing advanced search capabilities that allow querying specific fields and filtering by item properties.
- Field-Specific Search Allow users to target a search term to a specific field. The syntax could look like this:
title:live (to find all items with "live" in the title)
username:admin (to find all logins with "admin" as the username)
notes:"secret question" (to find items containing this exact…13 votes -
ProtonPass Alias
Composing a new e-mail alias is not straightforward, You cannot add the alias directly to From. You have to create a reverse-alias and add a contact for the recipient. This hides the real email address.
After creating an alias email; the alias should be available in the From drop down list, to use directly.

Allow Labels and VAULTS
I have protone duo, and I want to share all passwords with my wife. Right now i used the only option you provide to create a shared Vault. This however removes them from all of my VAULTS which i used to organize them. I have so many passwords that I need labels for them

email autofill
The "Use my email" autofill suggestion is hardcoded to the Proton account login email and cannot be changed. Users should be able to designate any email address — including one stored in a ProtonPass Identity — as the default autofill suggestion. This is a blocker for users whose primary email differs from their Proton account email (e.g., after rebranding or when using a custom domain professionally).

Proactive security suggestions
Instead of just warning users when passwords are weak, Proton Pass should take proactive action. A feature that automatically generates strong passwords for all accounts and suggests a step-by-step migration plan to the user—such as “This week: Update your 5 most important social media accounts”—would systematically improve security. Gamification elements such as a security score or achievements for good practices could provide additional motivation without being intrusive.

Autofill intelligence and reliability
The biggest problem that keeps cropping up in user reviews is the unreliability of the autofill feature. Proton Pass often fails to recognize login fields correctly, fills in fields incorrectly, or logs out unexpectedly. Proton needs to make significant improvements in this area. Competitors such as 1Password and Dashlane have developed significantly more sophisticated systems that can easily handle complex forms, multi-step login processes, and unconventional websites. Proton Pass should use machine learning to learn from failed autofill attempts and continuously improve its recognition rate. A fallback mechanism that automatically tries alternative filling methods when problems arise, rather than simply…
