Share custom domains used for aliases with members of multi-user plan
When I subscribe to a multi-user plan (Duo, Family, Visionary), I can create email addresses for other users from any custom domain that's been added via the Proton settings.
However, other users cannot use domains that I have added to SimpleLogin (or now, Proton Pass). Please rationalize the use of domains across Proton Mail / Pass / SimpleLogin so that there's one way and custom domains can be shared with plan users for all purposes.

It has been almost a year now since this topic started. Why has not Proton fixed this minor bug?

First of all... Thanks for your amazing work team Proton 💪
We also urgently need this functionality, and there is another layer in this topic. More and more services like "Cursor" block passmail.com domains so in the future at least you could use the designated domain aliases for those services in a business context with the different users of your business.

just learned the hard way that sharing an alias-domain does not work between different family-users. Please fix this, it does not make any sense and it is very confusing and annoying.

I have added a custom domain to simplelogin, but it's tied to my user account others from my family can't use it. So it's impossible to create directories/regex in simplelogin that sync the aliases with the correct proton pass family account.
<alias>.<aliasPostFix1>@my-domain.com => Sync to Proton Pass of family member 1
<alias>.<aliasPostFix2>@my-domain.com => Sync to Proton Pass of family member 2
<alias>.<aliasPostFix3>@my-domain.com => Sync to Proton Pass of family member 3 -

I would also very much like to see this implemented.
We are a Proton Pass for Business customer and using a custom hide-my-email domain across our organisation is not possible, it can only be configured for a single user.
The lack of this feature makes the email aliases less useful, it should be possible to share a custom domain across an organisation/family/duo whatever.

This! It's confusing, complicated and cumbersome. Also, why would I be able to add unlimited custom domains to Proton Pass but for Proton Mail custom domains are limited?!

Got a domain last week and and I really expected that this is supported. I hope this gets added soon

Really important for me if all my family members can create aliases with the same custom domain, instead of creating new subdomains for each. It’s more aesthetic and easier to manage. I do get that the catch all service will probably need to be deactivated though, or another solution found

Please integrate the domain management in Proton Pass and Mail.
It is very inconvenient to not be able to share Proton Pass domains with others on a Duo / Family / Visionary plan.
Further, it is very confusing to have two domain management user interfaces with different logic and experience, and different limits on the number of custom domains.

Really shocked this is not included. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere that family members cannot use the same custom domain

It's very important for me to centrally manage information with my partner (school, apartment Administration, Bills, municipality, mutual friends, administration). This way, everyone is always on the same page.

I e just signed up to proton duo thinking this woulyne a feature. Very disappointed and misleading the way proton promote a shared mailbox.

For plans with more than one user (Family, Duo, etc.) with custom domains, allow setting up aliases in those domains to one or more mailboxes from the plan.
The feature should be available in the Proton Mail settings.
Proton Pass allows setting up aliases, but they are oriented towards hiding the user's identity, so the custom domain is not available.

I am honestly shocked this doesn't exist and I may need to cancel migrating to P/SL as a result. Why in the world would you offer multi-user / family plans and then not give each of the family members the ability to each create aliases off the shared family custom domain? Creating subdomains for each family member is stupid.
