Windows credential manager secrets --> proton pass
A direct, end-to-end way to migrate Web and Windows user credentials from the Windows Credential Manager (WCM) into Proton Pass is a practical and secure approach.
A system that bypasses these intermediaries requires a secure pipeline that extracts, translates, and cryptographically encapsulates the data locally before injecting it into the Proton Pass ecosystem.
Windows Credential Manager distinguishes between Generic credentials (where passwords are retrievable via the Win32 CredEnumerate/CredRead API by the owning user) and Domain/Web credentials (where passwords are often opaque even to the owning user through the API).
To programmatically extract these credentials without a third-party application, the system…

Retrieve SMS Codes automatically
When logging into an account that uses SMS-based 2FA, Proton Pass should automatically detect the incoming OTP and offer to autofill it with a single tap — just like it already does for TOTP codes.
This could be done using Android's SMS Retriever API, similar to what was implemented by Dahslane and other password managers.

Clone entries from one vault to another vault
Clone some entries from a default vault to a vault which you want to share and limited entries. For example in the default vault are all the entries but for some devices or users a limited amount of entries is needed, not the full default fault.
Cloning those entries to a shortlist vault and share them to a user or device would be meaningfull.1 vote -

Provide the ability to auto-fill login fields
Allow the user to automatically type the login information. First the user opens the proton pass extension or more likely desktop application.
Upon clicking on an specific login field, the user can press a keyboard shortcut, such as Ctrl+V which will fill the last select form field and fill it with the selected login information. The procedure to fill the information in could be solved by programmatically minimize the Proton Pass application and automatically typing in the copied login credentials.
The entering of credentials could even be neatly animated with a 50ms delay per character to present the illusion of…

Add website url feature
I like to store URL's in Pass for various websites I visit. However I have to create a login and add the website in this text box for it to Hyperlink to that website.
If I just create a note then it pastes it as a text and not a LINK. Please ADD a feature where LINKS can be inserted, so when CLICKED on they take you to that LINK. Many thanks DK

Will not autofill if I have text in the clipboard
Proton Pass doesn't always show up to auto fill on mobile and it seems like one of the blockers is having anything copied in the clipboard. Long press should bring up a context menu to auto fill, but the only option is "paste."

Need the ability to silence only the Inactive 2FA Alert (without losing other protections) on logins held in Proton Pass.
We need ability to silence only the Inactive 2FA Pass Monitor Alerts (without losing other protections) on a login held in Proton Pass. For those who use different 2FA solutions for logins held in Proton Pass we want the ability to flag the logins as 2FA protected. Currently, the only way to do that is game the system by adding a 2FA Key to the entry or totally excluding the entry from Pass Monitor. Thank you

Additional Browser Extension Themes
The browser extension on Firefox only supports the light/dark default themes. I am a big Monokai fan and have set it as my default theme wherever I can. I would like my Proton Pass browser extension to also have the same styling as my email.

Spotlight/Quick Access feature
1Password has an amazing feature that I believe not everyone knows about called Quick Access. It's a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + Space / Command + Shift + Space) that opens a window like Spotlight where you can search through all your entries, copy fields, auto-type, open website on browser, copy TOTP and etc. Great for quickly copying passwords and TOTP codes for native applications. As a developer, this is really important to me and it is one of the few reasons I haven't migrated Proton Pass yet.

Option to approve or notify when a process accesses the SSH agent
Similar to 1Password, it would be awesome to get OS-native prompts to approve/notify whenever a process tries to access the SSH agent and one of its keys.
See https://developer.1password.com/docs/ssh/agent/security#authorization-model

Add Pin button so browser extension window doesn't close
Add a Pin toggle button to browser extension window so it doesn't close. Sometimes I want to copy more data from there, like 2 or more fields. A button that prevents it from closing would help a lot.

Quick Rename Passwords
I imported my passwords from an iCloud Keychain CSV and all the passwords are titled as the website + username, and I would love something that could quickly rename a password to Example1 by using the url www.example1.com if that makes sense. Or a quick database to rename popular websites.
