Shareable SMS and Email 2FA
Many outdated websites don't offer 2FA apps yet, and require 2FA via SMS codes texted to your phone, or emails.
This means that even if I share a login with someone in my Proton vault, they can't log in without me sending them the 2FA code.
Obviously this is far less secure than the secret key authenticator, but when we don't have a choice it's a necessary feature.

Mask Alias Postfix with a Hash
I’t would be great to see an option to mask the postfix of an alias using a hash instead of a dictionary word. For example:
uservoice.3ed565b8@passmail.net instead of
uservoice.panhandle226@passmail.net3 votes -
Hide notes content by default
As soon as I open the web portal or app, the notes are visible on screen. This is poor security, as anyone around me or a camera can read my entire screen.
Notes should be hidden until I choose to unhide them individually. Apple Notes for example has e locking feature that keeps content hidden until I choose to unlock a note.

Reorder vaults
Aside for more vaults and subvaults we need a way to reorganize the order of the vaults. Rn the newest one created is at the top and the oldest at the botton. This is in the web app. I need a way to reorder them like tags in protonmail

Move to a different vault - dismiss confirmation popup by pressing Enter
Currently, when you move an item to another vault and get the message 'Move 1 item to ... - Moving an item to another vault will erase its history - Confirm - Cancel' message, it would be great if you could confirm by pressing Enter (or another keyboard shortcut) rather than having to actually click the button. This would speed up bulk moving.

Space breaks with letter headings in Alphabetical sorting
Separating letter groups when displaying alphabetically would be helpful but also more visually appealing. The display appears very cluttered with an endless list of items and no breaks. The lack of website icons doesn’t help.

Additional Item Export-Import Metadata for Identification and Trackability
This additional idea comes from my experience reimporting a whole Pass dataset, hoping it would replace existing items and update them.
Each item should have additional metadata, such as an import ID and import date-time, perhaps the date-time could be encoded into the import ID. The way this would work is, that at the time of import, an auto-generated import ID would be created for any and all of the imported items, so that multiple items, being part of a package, imported in bulk simultaneously, would share the same import ID and date-time of import.
This would allow for more…

Improve consistency and clarity of Pass own Import-Export terminology and extensions.
Hi
Improve consistency of Proton Pass Own Import and Export Terminology:
Proton Pass: Pass Export Options:
PGP-Encrypted JSON
JSON
CSVProton Pass: Pass Import Options:
ZIP
PGP
CSV
JSON option is a ZIP with a JSON
Encrypted JSON is an encrypted ZIP which again contains JSON data format. There could be a note or a comment when importing where ZIP is mentioned, that it is about JSON.
The export is describity data formats, while import is describing extensions of generated files, perhaps this makes sense in a way, tho ...
Usecase: opening these files up, manipulation for manual editing (advanced…

View Alias After Creation in IOS
Not sure if this is a bug or a feature but when I create an alias in the IOS app I am then returned to the vault. I then have to search for the newly created alias in order to copy it. After creation the user should be taken to the alias item where they can then copy/manage the alias they just created. Its small but impacts user experience since in most cases you want to copy an alias after creating it.

Import folders to Proton Pass folders or separate vaults
I use Keepass and it has folders. When I import from it, it imports all Keepass folder into one vault. Either import each folder into a separate vault or let me choose which Keepass folder to use.

Make 'Display name' an optional global setting for aliases
If I don't set a Display Name, then recipients of emails sent from aliases just see your name as SiteName RandomStringOfCharacters, like "UserVoice 9o3yih"
I can currently set a display name manually on each alias by editing it, but a global setting would be nice.

Support ipv6 network addresses in proton pass.
In the areas I work and at home, much of my network stack and equipment is built on IPV6. Proton pass currently reads ipv6 addresses as invalid urls which makes retrieving credentials for direct connections quite inconvenient. This would be an immense QOL feature for myself, and potentially many others that interact with IPV6 networks.
Even something as simple as
http://[fe80::1]does not work.19 votes -

Root Domain as default for autofill
Love the ability to add additional websites/domains to logins, but would prefer not to be asked to save login info every time I am required to login on a subdomain. Can Proton Pass honor the root domain for autofill and as already saved. ie. the website entered in Proton Pass as xyz.com will still autofill at accounts.xyz.com, and not ask to save 'new login'.

Safari Extension - iOS
Like 1Password and LastPass, add an iOS Safari extension so that autofilling in Safari is much easier and Proton Pass can save new or updated passwords within Safari, rather than having to manually copy the new password and go into the Proton Pass app to edit. I've seen some say that this isn't necessary because of the universal autofill within iOS, but the 1Password extension shows just how useful a dedicated iOS Safari extension can be, and I don't know that I could fully switch to Proton Pass (or any other password manager) without one.
