  1. Proton Mail Bridge and support of portable e-mail client

    Most of installed software are locally installed. In case of portable apps (like Thunderbird) it is possible to "synchronize" all binaries and data among many computers. The point with Mail Bridge is that it generates a connection passphrase per host, hindering to use portable apps without reconfiguring the bridged mail account.

    This behavior (of unique passphrase per host) is OK and desirable for local installed Apps. For portable apps it should be possible to also copy the Mail Bridge passphrase from one host to another and therefore configure Mail Bridge once (at installation time) without modifying the configuation of Thunderbird…

  4. Share vault without exposing email address

    Ability to either pick which email address is used to share a vault (which is shown in the email the recipient gets) or the ability to not show an email address in the invitation email.

    Would also be great to not expose the email address in the unencrypted subject field which is sent to the user who is getting access to a vault.

  5. Login session expiration

    Can we have the option for the login sessions to expire after a certain amount of days. 7,14,30. For example.
    In two password modes, only the logging password and not the mailbox password. Not talking about the new 2nd or 3rd password option that was added to PP.

  6. Do not display passwords when clicking a password field

    Once the ProtonPass browser's extension is installed, clicking a password field will actually display the password in a popover.
    I personally don't see any useful reason to display a 15 characters long password (which I won't even remember) to be displayed each time I click a registered password field.
    More than that, this kind of feature prevent me to use the whole software since I know that my passwords will be leaked if I am streaming / being in a visioconference, or if I am browsing on my computer with a client / customer currently watching my screen next to…

  7. Search by title only

    lets say i have primary email jon@gmail.com
    so i have hundreds of Logins saved where email is "jon@gmail.com"
    then i also want to have my password to gmail account saved - and it has title "Jon gmail".
    Now imagine situation i want to find the login record specifically for my gmail account. I type "jon gmail" and in the result i see hundreds of logins - because you make search by title OR by the actual login saved, so all hundreds of records where i used jon@gmail.com as my login email are pulled and its impossible to filter…

    This is crucial for anyone who saves additional information for logins. I want to be able to organise data by sections and be able to move custom fields to the top or bottom.

    Hi, when we share password with other users, the password is visible
    can you guys add a way to hide the password when sharing?
    lastpass/nordpass has this feature so other users doesnt know the password outside of protonpass

  11. Need Alternate field names for logins.

    Many sites now using "alternate" field names for "username" and "password." So forced to copy/paste each to get logged in. I tried creating "hidden" fields, but these do not show up as possible logins.

  12. Link warnings like "vulnerable" to explanation and recommendations

    Proton Pass marks some of my passwords as "vulnerable", next to the password field, in red. But you can't click on that or hover over it for an explanation. What does it mean? I can probably spend time searching documentation, but why isn't it a link?

    All such warnings need to link to a full explanation and ideally a recommendation for what to do about it.

  16. One-step unlock and autofill

    I use a PIN to secure my Pass browser plug-in for Firefox. When I click the unlock icon in a pw field to unlock Pass and then put in my PIN, I have to click again to autofill my pw. Why not fill in the relevant pw automatically if the user unlock Pass from within a web page's pw field?

  17. Require 2FA for exporting

    It shouldn't be possible to export the whole vault within a few seconds without requiring a 2FA code.

    Sure, a person having access to the computer / phone would be able to access every entry within the vault when it's unlocked, but it shouldn't be possible to export every single entry within seconds

  18. Possibility to disguise the App Icon on Smartphones (not only for VPN-App, but all Apps!)

    As for Proton VPN it is possible to disguise the app icon to "weather cast", "notes" or "calculator". For Proton Pass (and also other Proton Apps) this is not possible - why? I think it was more usefull to disguise my password manager than my VPN app.

  20. Mail with alias

    Signed up for website using alias. Website responded that I am a bot and that I should contact them in case I think the message is unjustified. In order to mail them I would need to use the alias I created to stay consistent and not reveal my actual address. To the best of my knowledge that is not possible today.
