2. Quick Drop Down menu or search bar when clicking on the pass icon on mac

   Quick Drop Down menu or search bar when clicking on the pass icon on top menu on the mac when proton pass is running. 1password has a good implementation of this. This help you quickly search for a password when you are not within a browser without opening the giant main app window.

3. Ability to create subdomains with Pass alias domains

   I'd like to request the possibility of creating subdomains using Pass domains to create aliases (subdomain.passmail.net, subdomain.passinbox.com...), as already happens in SimpleLogin which allows you to create private subdomains with some domains.

   These domains seem very good for this type of purpose.

4. Automatically fill in the passkey

   When the browser requests a passkey input, the Proton Pass browser extension opens a pop-up, and the user has to click on the icon in the pop-up to fill in the passkey.

   It would be much faster and smoother if the passkey is filled automatically and the user does not have to click another time.

5. Allow to drop any password manager database file into Proton Pass

   I have an offline password manager on my Android phone that isn't listed in the suggested password managers for the Proton Pass app for syncing the data.

   I am personally using Password Safe, but it could be good to implement the following idea for this and other password managers that aren't listed or may be used on other devices.

   I would like the option to copy the database file off of my phone (or other device) onto my computer, and then when asked to sync my password manager database, I can have the option to choose "upload existing database file" or something similar.

   That way I can just upload a file to Proton Pass without having to sync an existing account if I don't have one or don't want to link them. That way I wouldn't have to manually copy them over or wait until I go to login to something and read from one password manager to put it into my Proton Pass.

   I think it would also be good if there were an option for Proton Pass to read the database file and then allow the user to select "yes" or "no" on which credentials to sync, in case they don't want all of it to be uploaded - sort of like when you move photos in your phone's gallery app to another album.

   Additionally, if it could identify duplicates or possible discrepancies.

   Here's an example to clarify what I mean:

   There are credentials/details to log into a certain site or account that is currently saved to the user's Proton Pass account.

   When uploading the database file, it detects that the same email, phone number, username, etc. that is already in use with Proton Pass, so it notifies the user.

   The user can then choose if they want to keep the Proton Pass details, the database details, save both, merge them, skip them or whatever else.

   I imagine it working similarly to Microsoft Windows when the user attempts to copy a file to another folder and they are notified by a pop-up flagging the duplicate file and giving them options on how to proceed to avoid data loss or a mistake.

   Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion. I know there's a lot involved in this, but I think it would be very useful and would greatly increase the value of the Proton Pass application and enhance its features and simplify password management. I hope that you will consider it please.

6. Extension refresh function

   I love the fact that we can create aliases in PP and I'm using it a lot. Many times thought I find the combination of words (my alias name in combination with the four proposed names by Proton) not appropriate so I need to quit the creation and start all over again. It would be great if we could have an "extension-refresh-function" where the four proposed extensions could be refreshed for four new ones. This would save many times a lot of time. Hope this helps other people as well.

7. Better vault management

8. OKTA compatible TOTP

   Currently trying to add TOTP from OKTA throws an error. Would be a good idea to make Proton Pass compatible with OKTA TOTP and avoid one more app just for one app

9. Option for menu bar item in macOS desktop app

   A password manager doesn't need to take up space in the dock. With an optional menu bar item it could be equally accessible with the dock less cluttered.

   Bonus points for a keyboard shortcut to open the app.

10. Add The Locked Proton Pass Tray Icon To The Windows Application Like The Proton Pass Chrome Extension

    The proton pass chrome extension shows a nice lock icon while it is locked and it looks very good when the extension is pinned with Proton VPN.

    I have both Proton VPN and Proton drive showing as pinned taskbar tray icons with the two fancy checkmarks at all times. It would be nice to add an update to the proton pass Windows application to make it so when proton pass on Windows is locked, the tray icon shows a lock symbol just like when the chrome extension is locked.

    This would make it more worth pinning the tray icon and also for parity.

11. Icon for aliases

    You can have aliases, but the name is random. Thankfully, there's a chance for that name to be using words that can be represented with a visual element.

    Our brains are made to memorize things better in the long run when using visualization. So instead of just incognito icon, users should be able to pick their own icon, and, preferably, the icon can also shown in the protonmail aliases.

13. New Entry: Option to view new entry after creation

    Currently after creating a new entry it displays a banner at the bottom and then you have to go find the entry. If the banner included a link/button to tap to jump to that recently created entry that would be great.

14. Require Proton Password to Unlock

    I use a long master password for 1Password and having to enter it to unlock the app every time helps me remember it. I would like for this to be an option instead of the PIN so I can continue to refresh my memory by being required to type out the password daily.

15. Selection of existing email addresses

    when being given the option of using your email or an alias, having a drop down of all of your actual existing proton email addresses as well as an alias option would save a few headaches if you not using your primary proton logon email for any web logins and would like to use another of your proton accounts email addresses

17. MDM-style management of credentials via time-limited vault shares in Pass

    Vaults with time limits to sharing would be great for multi-device use cases of Proton and limiting the fallout from endpoint compromises (maybe linked together with QR codes)? You can hack together a solution now using multiple user accounts and doing the time-based share via folders yourself, but this really should be a thing vaults do by default. Similar for cross-user sharing use cases.

    Similar, Pass should not download all creds, only creds for specific vaults for a specific time period.

18. Hold the Save password Window when refreshing explorer window.

    When generating a password, I want to first know that the website accept it before saving it in Proton Pass. So I click continue on the website but then the website refresh by saying okey (Or eg. no the password is too long) bu then the window that ask me if I want to save the password disapear.
    So if the password is accepted I have no way of knowing what it was and save it...

    The window that asks if I want to save the login should stay open until I dismiss it or accept it.
    With an option to turn it off for sure.

    Proton Pass needs "Alternative Routing" option as in ProtonMail
    Reason: To bypass blocking
    I can use proton mail because of that feature but proton pass needs VPN on to function
