Keyboard shortcuts
Authy's desktop app is (was) handy in that I could switch to the app and start typing, without using the mouse, to pull up the account for which I need(ed) a TOTP code. With Proton Pass, I have to click in the search bar before typing to search. It would be appreciated and convenient if there were a keyboard shortcut to jump to the search bar in the Proton Pass desktop app.
Additionally, it would be beneficial if there were keyboard shortcuts to jump to different fields of the desktop app and to copy or edit them, without having to use the mouse. Currently the only option for such is to repeatedly mash Tab.
Thank you, Proton, for your hard work!
This feature is a work in progress.

KeepassXC has a few handy shortcuts that I'm missing here:
- CTRL+F - search (after searching you can navigate with arrow keys to pick from the list of matching results).
- CTRL+B - copy username
- CTRL+C - copy password
- CTRL+T - copy TOTPThis enables a really nice keyboard only flow in which you can ALT+TAB between windows to paste all of the necessary credentials into the browser.
It also has a shortcut for full autofill, which a lot of people might like but personally I don't like it because it basically executes a sequence of actions that paste your username and password with pressing tab in between and it creates a risk of accidentally pressing it and revealing your credentials somewhere.

I used KeepassXC before, and it had great autofill feature triggered by keyboard shortcut. when no match was found, it would show a search bar to look up the right login - it was perfect!
edit: perfect is going a bit far, it did occationally fill the wrong fields or type into nothing...
the best solution I can think of is to trigger a search bar with a keyboard shortcut, and then be able to either autofill or copy either username or password - I don't mind triggering the feature twice, once for username and again for password.

I signed up for proton pass on the $1/month lifetime deal a couple years ago. I still havent' switched over to proton from lastpass because this single feature isn't there.
I hope proton adds it some time.

This feature is why I keep using Bitwarden

Helpful when combing through duplicates manually since an auto feature still isn't available. A keyboard shortcut for delete would also be helpful.

Duplicate, please vote in both places (or can mods merge the idea)

Bitwarden has this - the TOTP is copied to the clipboard after the password has been filled to the field, then it's just Ctrl+V and enter to get past the TOTP field.

Forcing users to use a mouse to click on things is not a good idea. This application is just an experiment until it has keyboard shortcut support.

I just migrated to proton pass and I'm about to go back because of this bad surprise: no basic passwords for user name, password and URL copy!

I just migrated from Bitwarden and it had a ton of useful keyboard shortcuts.
I really miss them. A lot. -

This is a small feature but it's frustrating not to have it. 😉

As an example (functionality that exists within 1Password) invoking a keyboard shortcut (such as CMD + Shift + Space) would pull up a "spotlight like" search bar (system wide) which would allow for quick search for a login - and present allow for additional Keyboard Shortcuts such as CMD+C to Copy Username, CMD+Shift+C to copy password - to allow for improved workflow of quickly searing and logging into accounts where autofill cannot currently access across apps and other system prompts.

I found it very useful while I was using 1Password. Anytime I'd need any password, I'd just press the key combination and the search window would pop-up (similar to Spotlight). Very handy!

This seems to be duplicate/similar to https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584-proton-pass/suggestions/47666525-autofill-totp-and-credentials-with-keyboard-shor .
Who can merge those?

Tried Proton Pass a year ago. Saw that this shortcut wasn't available so I went back to Bitwarden.
This morning I thought to myself: "hey, let's try Proton Pass again, it's been a whole year, surely there's must be keyboard shortcut by now!"
