You can't merge them because you then can't use the same alias for more than a single password entry.
The proper feature would be to create a dashboard specifically for alias management... Instead of viewing from the individual password node, view from the alias node down to the children logins.
But I sort of agree the mental model for most of us is that these are two separate things.

I was surprised to have used my first secure link and see that it just displays everything in plaintext on a url page.
- No password capability
- No ability to revoke a secure link before the set dateIt almost necessitates hiding the proton link behind a password-protect url shortener or something, but I wouldn't trust entering this URL anywhere!

+1 for the ability to manage duplicates...
Proton team - once I have the ability to create all of these aliases and passwords, I need ways to manage them continually. This is super important for me !
