Support saving PRF Passkeys
Please add support for saving PRF Passkeys. You're the only Passwod manager which doesn't support them yet and it's very necessary for some services.

Ignore apps or sites on mobile
There are certain apps or websites that I don't want to store passwords for.
Currently the only options on the password pop up are "No, thanks" and "Save".
If the Proton mobile apps could have a "never from this website" on the pop up and if the app settings could have a "choose apps to ignore" I wouldn't have to keep dismissing the pop up and would also solve the complaint about the save password prompt popping up for Microsoft authenticator prompts amongst other edge cases I'm sure.

Estate Planning and Password Managers
Let’s face it: in most households, one person ends up being the "techie"—they manage all the online accounts, pay the bills, set up the gadgets, and keep track of passwords. Meanwhile, the other person might have no idea what’s what—until something happens and they’re left to figure it all out.
It’s not just about passwords—it’s about being able to keep the lights on, find out where the mortgage is, and know what subscriptions to cancel.
What you need to figure out ASAP:
- Which bank has the mortgage?
- Is the car insurance bundled with something else?
- What bills are coming due this week?
- Which accounts you can shut down and which you need to keep
- Which ones are personal vs. part of your partner’s business or workSo how do you make this easier? Some tech-minded folks create a “tags feed.” It's basically a cheat sheet—a list of all your digital accounts, grouped by topic, in plain English. Like a digital phone book for your life.
Here’s what that might look like:
Healthcare:
- Doctor’s portal
- Specialists
- Health insurance login
- Pharmacy accounts
- HSA infoMoney Stuff:
- Checking and savings
- Credit cards (listed by bank)
- Investment accounts
- Retirement fundsHome Life:
- Electric company
- Gas and water
- Internet
- Home security systemInsurance
- Car
- Home
- Life
- Umbrella policyThe biggest downside? You have to keep both the password manager and this cheat sheet updated. Every time you add a new account, change a password, or switch services, you have to update two places. And let’s be honest—nobody does that consistently.
There’s a huge opportunity here. The population is aging, and almost everything is digital now. The companies that build tools for estate planning (not just password hoarding) will stand out.
Features worth building:
- Smart tagging and automatic account grouping
- Visual maps that show how accounts connect
- Guided checklists for surviving spouses
- Partnerships with legal and financial services
- Family-sharing options that actually make sense in emergenciesLet’s face it: in most households, one person ends up being the "techie"—they manage all the online accounts, pay the bills, set up the gadgets, and keep track of passwords. Clarify alias synced behavior during delete action in Proton Pass or SimpleLogin
Add this message to clarify what happens when deleting aliases from Proton Pass or SimpleLogin when sync is enabled between the two: "Deleting an alias here deletes it from both Proton Pass and SimpleLogin. Once deleted, the alias cannot be restored to either Proton Pass or SimpleLogin."

Search with or create password rules to flag my logins with different tags
I use Proton Pass to manage a wide range of logins. Some of them should be protected by strong passwords. Some of them should use weaker passwords because they are not that important or maybe I have to share it with family members. Some of them are test logins for development, so they will use silly common passwords.
I'd like to have a password searching rules so I can flag some of them as logins that I need to take actions. Or flag them as shared logins or dev logins so I don't have to worry about them.
Any other solutions will be welcome, password rules may not be the best solution.

Allow Multiple Accounts in Authenticator
I'd like to use Authenticator for work and personal 2FA. They would be under separate Proton accounts.
Please allow me to sign-in to multiple Proton accounts with Authenticator (like Google Authenticator can) and switch between them.

Onetime password
Is is possible to somehow have a timebound pw for a few minutes or hour? Or even a onetime password?
So I can have this option on my main device/pass-manager, and add a one-time password that i can use when opening up my email e.g. at the library or signing into my phone that I keep set to stay logged in after that login.

Open source the server and not just the clients
It would be great to see Proton's true commitment to transparency by opening source code of the server instead of just having the clients open source.

Generalize entries to allow new Sections, longform Notes, and filtering for all entry types
"Other" entries (including "Start from scratch" as well as premades such as "API Credential", "Medical Record", "Passport", etc.) are fully customizable by allowing new Sections, Fields, and a longform Note field. This is great! My requests are to (1) make the other "non-Other" entry types equally flexible and unify the implementation of all entry types, and (2) make custom entries first-class along with the traditional legacy entry types.
Specific issues:
"Login", "Card", and "Note" entries don't allow new Sections.
"Identity" entries don't include a longform Note field. (It's possible to replicate a Note field by adding a Text field to a Section, but raditional Note fields aren't associated with a Section, or perhaps it's attached to an unnamed section (which users aren't allowed to create).
"Other" custom entries all use the same crescent-wrench icon, rather than the icons presented when they're created via +Create item > Other. For example, if I create a Bank Account entry, the option originally shows an icon of a bank, but it's then replaced by a generic icon of a wrench.
The list of entries can be filtered by "Logins", "Aliases", "Cards", "Notes", and "Identities", but not the other entry types such as "API Credential", "Software license", "WiFi network", "Bank Account", "Membership", "Reward Program", etc.
My specific feature requests:
Allow new Sections to be added to "Login", "Card", and "Note" entries. Probably every one of my entries in 1Password includes custom Sections because it enables me to cleanly organize additional information and not get them mixed up: security phrases, account decovery details, phone numbers, secondary usernames/passwords if the account has other login options such as ssh, smtp, etc., and so forth.
Add a longform Note field to the Identity entry type. I use this to add all sorts of details like place of birth, family, medical, citizenship, ... any longform details. All other entry types include a longform Note field, it's odd that Identify is the only entry type that's missing it, and it's super-useful.
Use the icons presented in +Create entry > Other, rather than a generic wrench icon.
For extra credit, it'd be great if you allowed the user to create their own new "Other" templates, along with it's own custom icon. This isn't a critical feature, I've never needed this in 1Password since they already include every entry type I need, but if you did this, it would be a step above and beyond what 1Password supports.
Allow filtering by all entry types, including "API Credential", "Software license", "WiFi network", "Bank Account", "Membership", "Reward Program", etc. In other words, convert each of the pre-defined "Other" templates first-class entry types that support the same features as "Login", "Card", "Note", and "Identity".
Generalizing your implementation to treat all entry types as first-class not only makes Proton Pass more flexible and powerful but hopefully also simplifies your code base by eliminating one-off differences that may be coded into your different entry types. This flexibility is extremely useful and very much missed when transitionning from 1Password to Proton Pass.
Thank you for your consideration. :-)

Previous password history on Proton Pass free plan
Proton Pass' free tier should include minimal password change history.
With this change, Proton Pass free would retain the previous password for a site - only one password, not full history. This would also incorporate minimal history for generated passwords (ex. last 1-2) to avoid situations where users generate/change passwords but they are not properly updated in Proton Pass.
Well aware that there needs to be a distinction between free and Pass Plus to encourage paid adoption. However, eliminating all history in the free tier causes frustration which impacts broader adoption.

Printing list of Passwords
I would like a feature where you can print a physical copy of some passwords so you can access them in an emergency situation in which no devices are available/No access to Proton Pass

Proton Pass: Have a separate section for vaults that is hidden with a pin.
A private folder in the vaults list, that has a different pin lock on it. (Would be used for people who share computers.)

Force passkey interception
Now, if proton pass is lock, proton extension will not catch the passkey request.
I see someone ask for no interception at all
I think the default behavior is important (catch if proton is unlocked, else let OS manage)
But add a 3rd option to always catch passkey and prompt to unlock the extension4 votes -
Let folks add a new entry if the search results come back empty.
Before entering a new login I’ll search for it to make sure it doesn’t already exist. Please add the option to create a new entry in the blank search results. Copy the search query as the title. This would save precious time and reduce wasted keyclicks.

Enhance filter by type adding bank account, passport... (instead of just "others")
Now is possible to create additional items like:
- Passport
- Bank Account
- Software license
- Etc.However, those are just templates falling under the category "others".
While it is fine to have them group under "others" when creating a new item, it would be great if those extra items (mentioned above) would have its own category too, not just "others".This would help to filter them by type/category.
E.g.: Show only software licenses.8 votes -
Proton aliases to DUO partner
I would like to suggest an enhancement to the mail‑alias forwarding functionality.
Current limitation: At present, aliases can only be forwarded to the primary Proton address associated with the account. This works well for personal use, but it restricts the flexibility that DUO users expect.
Requested feature: Allow users to forward alias messages not only to their own Proton address but also to the email address of their DUO partner.

Create alias with custom domain
Hi there,
What I would like to see is an addition as to how the aliases are created.
I have my own domain so I usually just do website@mydomain.ioThe logic is already here since creating an alias does exactly that website+suffix@custom-protonmain.com
I'd like to be suggested instead an alias with my domain and only the name of the website i'm in
for example. If I want to create a discord account I should be suggested this email: discord@mydomain.io
Sorry if this is a duplicate. I wasn't able to find anything about it.
Thank you,3 votes -
Suggest existing aliases as a username when creating a new login item
When creating new login item, Proton Pass only suggests my primary email as a username. I think it should provide a searchable list of all my existing aliases. Most often, when creating new accounts, I want to use one of my aliases instead of my primary address.
I know I can do it the other way around and start by creating the login item, and in that process tap the "Hide my email" button for creating a new alias. But there are situations in which the alias I want to use already exists. And people using the free tier probably reuse many of their aliases across services, so it would be especially helpful for them.
