UI - Compact/Slim UI Mode for Browser Extension [Pass]
The current Proton Pass extension feels overly wide and "clunky" compared to the high-density, vertical design of Bitwarden, which prioritises utility over whitespace. By comparing the two, it's clear that Proton's use of large cards, heavy padding, and a wide two-pane layout reduces information density, forcing more scrolling and taking up too much screen real estate. I am requesting a "Compact Mode" toggle that slims down the extension width, reduces vertical padding in the "Autofill suggestions" list, and provides a more streamlined, list-based view for power users who prefer efficiency and a smaller visual footprint.

Show password in large type
Please add a feature to display the password in large characters, each numbered, with the ability to copy individual characters from any index, just like 1Password's 'show password in large type' function.

Add a simplified view of Items in the Proton Pass browser extension
People who are not tech savvy need to be able to use password managers like Proton. Add an extremely simple single page extension view they can use to select, launch, and auto login to sites such as their bank. Proton is a superior system, but I have to leave some of my family on LastPass because it has an extremely easy to use interface. Proton is just too complex for them to navigate.

Auto clean pass-names like "auth.services.adobe.com" to "Adobe"
Right now my pasword list is LITTERED with names like "acc, account, auth, authorize, api, oauth2,...". There's however always a very clear brand/website/service somewhere in the name. Please make Pass automatically remove all the tech-names, we don't need those in the main name. If you then click on the password, I don't care if there's a bunch of technical adresses and names under the "websites" heading. Just don't put it all in the name. Thanks!

Ignore apps or sites on mobile
There are certain apps or websites that I don't want to store passwords for.
Currently the only options on the password pop up are "No, thanks" and "Save".
If the Proton mobile apps could have a "never from this website" on the pop up and if the app settings could have a "choose apps to ignore" I wouldn't have to keep dismissing the pop up and would also solve the complaint about the save password prompt popping up for Microsoft authenticator prompts amongst other edge cases I'm sure.

Pass Monitor - Inactive 2FA
Let me turn off monitoring for inactive 2FA without turning off any of the other monitoring features. Most of my 2FAs are in Proton Authenticator, which doesn't even have a correlator to tie it to the Proton Pass entries. Also I have quite a few where for various reasons I cannot use the 2FA on the related site. For all of these, I still want the remaining monitor features enabled.

30 Minute Auto-lock
Hi everyone,
Minor suggestion to add a time between 10 minutes and 1 hour.
30 Minutes would be my choice.

Unlock with biometrics AND pin code on mobile
Add an option to unlock with biometrics AND pin code on mobile so shoulder surfers will not be able to login and if i'm asleep/drunk nobody can use my finger to open Proton Pass.

Desktop Security Key Management
When I log into an desktop app with 2FA, I'm prompted to either use a security key or OTP authentication. Since I'm on Windows, the computer defaults to Microsoft's built-in authenticator, which I don't use. Instead, I have to use OTP through Proton Pass since I currently use passkeys only through the browser extension.
Could Proton Pass possibly become the default passkey manager on the desktop level, not just in browsers?

For Business, add customer portal tool to store private information from customers, a customer vault if you will
I'd like to interact with my firm clients via a secure portal where we can collaborate and upload documents that we can both view. I'd like for them to access their private and secure information on an encrypted site such as Proton

Title: Windows app UX issues: fixed minimum window height and layout shifting due to scrollbar behavior
The Windows app has several strange and frustrating UX/design decisions.
1) Fixed minimum window height makes layout unusable
Current behavior:
- The app has a minimum window height that cannot be reduced.
- If I have a 2x2 layout (4 codes total), I cannot resize the window to fit exactly those blocks.
- There is always a large empty area at the bottom — roughly ~70% of a code block height.
Why this is bad:
- Wastes screen space
- Prevents clean, compact layouts
- Feels completely unnecessary for a codes-based UI
Expected behavior:
- Allow free vertical resizing
- Let the window snap tightly to…

Nix flake
Nix is one of the most secure ways to distribute your app. Please create a Nix flake with linux and macOS support and have it maintained in the app's repo that users can add to their Nix configs.
This would provide the best end to end security, simplify updates and it's a very low effort feature for potentially a lot of new users.

Selection of word lists for passphrase generation
I'd love to see a the option to select one of multiple available word lists for passphrase generation. The reason being that I am not a native English speaker and I'd like to create passphrases with words that I am most familiar with. I don't expect Proton to manage word lists for every language. A great option would be a "bring your own word list" feature. Then I could simply upload e.g. the DeReKo word list and use it for passphrase generation.
I would be fine with disclaimers that Proton cannot verify the quality of self curated word lists and…8 votes -
Full features for Authenticator on Linux (like export)
AFAICT Authenticator on Linux can only export code in json format. So, for example, there's no way to transfer from Proton to Google auth. It would be nice if the Linux version was fully functional.

Enable Proton Pass browser extension to be pinned
Currently, the Proton Pass browser extension drops-down from the browser toolbar for use, but when the page being displayed is clicked, the extension disappears. This is annoying, for usually, one is about to copy-n-paste both a website user ID and a password, hence, one must again click on the extension button to copy the password. Please enable the extension to be pinned so that the user has control over when the extension is visible.

Please add some usable icons that look like the default vaults
There are defined vaults, but there aren't icons that even come close to matching them. Like maybe a bank, credit card, passport, etc... These icons are awful. Can we import our own or something?

Proton Authenticator: MFA Token Tagging or Vaulting
The Proton Authenticator app doesn't currently have any ability to either "tag" MFA tokens, add them to a dedicated logical directory, or add them to a dedicated profile/vault (similar to the vaults in Proton Pass). This is definitely an area for improvement as searching through possibly hundreds of tokens all in the same logical directory is less than ideal. Please add this capability.
