  2. Support Litecoin

ProtonWallet should accept Litecoin, as its robust tokenomics make it a reliable and efficient option for payments. Litecoin is often regarded as the "silver to Bitcoin's gold" because it was created by Charlie Lee in 2011 as a fork of the Bitcoin Core client, aiming to address perceived limitations in Bitcoin, particularly in terms of transaction speed and cost. Like Bitcoin, Litecoin has a fixed supply, capped at 84 million coins, which helps to maintain its value over time and prevents inflation.

Litecoin operates on a similar proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism, ensuring a secure and decentralized network. However, it uses…

Secure Proton Wallet with PIN on the web. Just like the PIN option in Proton Pass for the web. For the mobile app there is biometric security.

  4. I want an Apple Pay replacement rather than another crypto app

Crypro is dull but having the ability to store debit cards, loyalty cards, tickets, etc. would be super useful on a daily basis. What would even more cool if I could use an independent solution, which works across ecosystems and has the same experience on both Android, iOS and other platforms. A de-Googled Android phone for example would be hugely better with that.

  6. Support BitcoinCash

I currently use Mullvad, a VPN that accepts three cryptocurrencies; Bitcoin, Monero, and BitcoinCash.

My proposal suggests adding XMR and BCH to both Proton Wallet and the accepted payment methods for Protonmail.

Both of these currencies are extremely reliable, basically free to use, and easily made private with one being opt-in. BTC doesn't have any of these qualities in any shape or form without losing custody or experiencing extreme friction.

Be more like Mullvad, or simply be smart. What use is a wallet if you can't transact?

  7. Make buying crypto throigh Proton Wallet easier

It is great that Proton provides some options to purchase Bitcoin directly into Proton Wallet, but the user experience to do this is a nightmare if you use Proton tools to do it. I use Proton VPN and Proton Pass email aliases. I registered on Ramp using a Proton Pass email alias and somehow got my account suspended. I appealed to Ramp because I thought it might be a KYC issue, but a human being rejected my appeal and permanently banned my account. This happened in my very first attempt to purchase any Bitcoin through Ramp. The support agent could…

  8. Post mortem legacy

Given the amount of money that can be stored in the wallets, the capability to nominate people with the right to access a wallet would be interesting.
Digital Wealth transmission is not anticipated and there shall be a way, in a legal procedure, to secure the transmission to inheritants.

For example, in Interactive Brokers platform, that type of functionality is fully endorsed, and I can name as many people as I want to be given access to my assets.

  9. Separate password

For security Wallet should be able to have a separate password to the rest of thee eco system. I actually think this should be standard for all proton programs. IE having the ability/toggle switch to have a different password from your main Proton Mail account for each separate service. Proton Mail and Calendar would be one, then drive another, then Pass another, then VPN another. That way we keep the security promised while not being concerned about putting too many eggs in one basket. Because that is a very real concern for me and other users I know personally.

  11. Detailed charts for price changes

Currently you can see the value change in bitcoin in the last 24h, I assume is a lineal chart, what about a week, a month, a year, the whole life of the coin or logaritmics charts and the ability to switch between them.
Also the chart express the change only in the wallet selected fiat coin, why not allow to select which fiat coin is used without changing the wallet coin.
Another important thing is to know which exchange (the source) of the chart, even for bitcoin values vary signifcantly depending on the house doing the change (I assume is…

  12. Support Cardano

    Please add support for Cardano.
+ Adding support for resolving ADAHandles would be very helpful for transaction. ADAHandles is working on supporting other blockchain addresses as well, so this could potentially be a tertiary benefit in the future.

  15. Use ProtonWallet for Mobile Ticketing

Since COVID, almost every ticketed event has transitioned to mobile ticketing, tied to either Apple Pay or Google Wallet. Graphene OS allows me to run Google Waller more securely than stock Android, but I'd love it if sporting events, concerts, boarding passes, movies, etc could be handled by Proton instead.
