Integrate mobile phone or email address payment systems similar to payID or Paym.
Integrating new payment platforms such as mobile phone or email , or even google or apple pay would be useful.
Getting away from traditional finance systems that can track and even disable payments is a good idea.3 votes -
Proton Wallet - Tracking balance/transactions outside of Proton Wallet
It would be great to have the ability to track bitcoin transactions/balances outside of proton. For instance, if someone is running a bitcoin node and using Sparrow Wallet, we should have the ability to add the xpub which derives all the possible addresses used to see the balance and transactions of bitcoin. I like Bitcoin Wallet, but the limitation options with it does not make you want to put too much in it. If contacted, i can provide a screenshot of what other wallets would need to track the transactions/balances. In this situation, we don't need the seed phrase. This…

Proton Pay - credit / debit card alias
Replacement to GooglePay or ApplePay.
To elaborate, a wallet that can link PayPal, credit cards (then create virtual card numbers so that the real card number is not actually exposed). It would be a cool bonus to see and manage recurring payments and such too.

Integrate a Personal Net Worth Dashboard with Crypto & Fiat Balances
Many users track not only crypto holdings but their entire financial picture—fiat savings, investments, crypto, liabilities, etc. Proton Wallet already handles crypto & payments, so adding a “Net Worth” overview would help:
Automatically calculate Net Worth = Fiat balance + Crypto holdings + other assets (user-entered) − Liabilities
Provide a timeline graph showing how net worth evolves (1 month, 6 months, 1 year)
Allow users to tag assets (e.g., “Investment”, “Operating business”, “Savings”) for more insight
Export the net worth data (CSV/PDF) or connect to APIs for further personal-finance apps
Include tips or links for users to learn about managing…

Support for cold wallets + multisig
Being able to monitor offline addresses is critical as cold wallets are the most secure way to store bitcoin. I should also be able to create transactions on the app then use NFC to transfer them to cold wallets for signing.
In addition to this supporting multisig with hardware wallets would be amazing.

The lock timer with biometrics does not protect! unless it is set to Immediately - Android
If Lock Timer is set to Immediately, wallet protection works, but if 5, 15 minutes, or 1 hour of inactivity is selected from the menu, the wallet is usually not locked, even after several days or weeks of non-use, after restarting or updating Android.

Add a warning when importing insecure seed phrases
I fear the Proton Wallet software appears to act too "laid back" when I import both my account's existing 12-word recovery phrase (reusing) and infamous ones like "bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon bacon" (insecure).

Support Bitcoin Silent Payments
It would be great to see Silent Payments supported in Proton Wallet, since it would allow for Bitcoin transaction privacy in the app. This feature has already been implemented in Cake Wallet.

Support importing Electrum / BIP32 wallet phrases
Trying to import a wallet phrase created using Electrum into Proton Wallet currently yields the following error:
Wallet seed phrase checksum is invalid. We only accept BIP39 seed phrases and do not support Electrum ones.
It would be nice if importing Electrum / BIP32 wallet phrases was supported.
Many people used Electron back in the day because it was the best open-source wallet available at the time. People might want to avoid creating a new wallet with a new address (the old one might already be known) and/or transferring their Bitcoin (due to fees).
