1. Have options to manage the time a meeting times out when only one person is present

   I'm a psychologist and I meet with clients using this software. Sometimes people have problems with their invite links or their hardware and it takes a few minutes for them to manage to get into the session. Proton Meet wants to end and shut down the session when I've been alone for some minutes (not sure how long) but please allow me to lengthen this time, as it would create a lot of trouble for me and my clients if the meeting was abruptly ended without me noticing (cause at that moment I might be sending them another invite link) and I would have to create a new one. Besides this, I find the software easy to use for me and my clients :)

2. Option to share computer's audio on screenshare

   I'm on the linux client (unsure of other clients), and there is no way to share my computer's audio when I screenshare. I do tutoring, so such functionality is very important to me.

4. Local Volume Mixer for incoming participant audio (volume boost)

   Please can a volume mixer/booster be added so you can individually adjust the incoming volume of participants in the call. Quite often some people are just too quiet and there’s one person that stands out. Discord has a feature where on an individual participant basis you can increase/boost the volume to 200% or reduce down to 0%.

5. Support for virtual microphones with third party apps such as Krisp to improve noise cancelling

   This is the only reason why we haven't migrated from Zoom to Proton Meet yet. Even if noise cancelling exists and is good, third party apps can handle it much better.

7. Add a sound notification when someone joins the meeting

   Sometimes I'm going through other tabs or windows while I'm waiting for someone to join and I don't realize they're inside unless I'm fully viewing the Proton Meet tab.

9. Adjusting audio quality (more below)

   The same microphones I use for other platforms aren't being picked up as readily on Proton Meet (web browser). When I first speak, the green bar on the platform's microphone doesn't show, as if my voice isn't reaching the microphone at all, then it starts showing but drops as I speak. When I asked the other participant if she could hear me clearly, she says when I start speaking, my voice is very low then rises to a normal volume before it fades in and out as I speak.

   Notes:

   1) From my side, the green bar on the microphone initially doesn't exist until they can hear me. When it fades in and out, I do see the microphone bar at a midpoint even when I speak uniformly at the same volume.
   2) This happens from my side only (the host). The other participant's voice is always conveniently audible.
   3) This happened with different participants at different times and internet networks.
   4) I removed the "noise cancellation" option, thinking it might be working a bit too strong, but the result was the same.
   5) This issue persists on the web version, but I don't intend on downloading the app (where this issue might not be present) because I find the web version far more flexible (It's one of the reasons why I previously switched from Zoom to Google Meet and find it such a relief Proton Meet has such a similar interface and style to Google Meet.).

10. Maximize one of the participants' webcam image

    It would be useful to be able to maximize one of the participants' image during the meeting. For instance the participant wants to show a document on paper, a painting, an object, etc. to the others. Maximizing the participant's webcam image allow the others to better focus and see more details.

11. Speaker view, like in Teams

    Add possibility to change layout. On a 1:1 call, the other person video is as big as mine. It would be great to have a view similar to Teams, with my own video feedback in small, and the other person taking most of the video space.

12. Make meetings scheduled through booking pages feature show up in the proton meet dashboard overview of meetings

    Can meetings that have been scheduled by other people in the appointments/booking pages please be added to show up in the ProtonMeet dashboard page?

    Or at least meetings where the participants have accepted it...?

    Currently the dashboard is only showing manually scheduled meetings.

13. API for Programmatic Proton Meet Room Creation (Independent of Booking System)

    I am requesting a public API endpoint to programmatically create unique Proton Meet rooms and retrieve their join URLs. This is essential for developers building self-service scheduling applications that need to generate dynamic, isolated meeting links for every event.

    My application allows users to schedule meetings programmatically and sends calendar invitations (.ics) via Proton SMTP. To make these invites functional, the .ics file requires a specific URL property pointing to a unique meeting room.

    Currently, Proton Meet rooms can only be created manually via the web interface. There is no API to:

    • Trigger the creation of a new, unique room.
    • Retrieve the resulting join URL.

    "Proton Booking" is Not the Solution: I am aware of the existing Proton Booking feature. However, it is not suitable for my use case because:

    Scope Mismatch: The Booking feature is designed for a specific "booking flow" (availability slots, booking pages, confirmation emails) which includes logic and UI elements that are not needed for my application.
    Flexibility: My application manages its own scheduling logic, database, and notification flows. I do not want to force my users into the rigid Proton Booking workflow or expose my internal scheduling data to the Booking system.
    Granularity: I need to create a meeting link only when a specific event is triggered in my app, independent of any public availability calendar or booking page.

    What I Need: A simple, authenticated API call (e.g., POST /api/meet/create) that:

    • Generates a unique room ID.
    • Returns the full join URL (e.g., https://meet.proton.me/xyz123).
    • Allows me to inject this URL directly into the URL: field of a custom .ics file.

    Impact: This feature would unlock programmatic integration for Proton Meet, allowing it to compete with other providers (Zoom, Google Meet) that offer room creation APIs. It would enable privacy-first developers to build custom scheduling tools, CRM integrations, and automated workflows without compromising on the "zero-access" security model.

14. Noise Cancellation

    My current experience suggests the noise cancellation function of Proton Meet is not on par with Zoom. When time and resources allow, it would be useful to have this improved. Thanks!

16. Mute individual participants locally

    When in hybrid remote and on-premises meetings, the ability to mute someone for myself is absolutely necessary. For example, my colleague sits next to me and I can hear them in the same room. I do not need their audio to come through the meeting chat so I would like to mute them for myself only. That way I can hear what they say in real life but not through the meeting. Others joining remotely in the meeting can hear my colleague via the meeting without issue.

    Jitsi meet has this by default so it would be a matter of passing this through to the proton interface built on top of it.

19. Change recording system method and pricing

    With regards to the recording feature... I don't feel it makes sense that recording a meeting is currently limited to paid tiers (I am a paid teir user for the record) given that it works completely locally.

    Surely a better way to do this would be to allow recording locally (up to say 30 minutes) but then limit recording to longer periods to the paid tiers?

    While also introducing cloud recording (direct to proton drive)? For unlimited timeframes for paying customers...
