Absolutely 100% agree on this one, If I had votes left and I could I'd given this a vote count making it impossible for the Proton crew to ignore.
Politics, pride, Diversity, Inclusion, Ukraine, this and that. Basically all these topics are divisive and frankly, I'm sure it scares a lot of people away from this great service. Tbh, I have not much to fear (yet) I think? Suppose some, as I live in EUSSR, we don't have free speech and those liberties which are becoming more and more rare in the world.
But even though, The soon I see (not saying Proton have done this as I haven't seen it) But if for example I'd see Protomail all in a sudden shown as a Rainbow Icon during, *cough* Pride month *cough* I personally would feel not welcome, nor safe and my trustlevel towards the company would slowly perish. I have no hatred towards people, but I think that particular thing is the most divisive and hateful, organized and dangerous thing in the western world that ever existed.
Yes, I think it's worse then 2nd World war Nazism, It's strikingly similar, but it's in a time where all comms in the world are recorded, all speech limited, all "news" (propaganda) controlled and synced throughout the planet. The force is far more scary then a localized Nazi Germany (according to my knowledge) Ever was.
Also, about Ukraine and all that shit, just don't do it. Keep your thoughts for yourselves, or I think you'll risk losing your good brand in the end.
Keep in mind, the general thought of Ukraine vs Russia is leaning heavily in good terms with Russia (worldwide) Western world is only some 9% of the world's population. And not even half of us are interested in hating Russia in favour of super-corrupt Non-democratic nazi Ukraine.
Just my thoughts...
