I agree with most of the comments. Also realize that Proton Pass was just rolled out recently and would assume more features are in development. I think web access is table stakes in order to entice users to migrate from their existing pw managers.

Having this feature prevents storing your password externally so that your vault is accessible if incapacitated or a person dies. Especially important to a Power of Attorney or Executor of an estate.

This occurs in the password managers that I have used (LastPass, 1Password, Proton Pass). Each website seems to be different in password requirements and sometimes the site disallows a password, while the password manager has already stored the new password. Not sure if its possible or technically the right thing to do but only save after the password has been accepted.
