I'd like this added too.
Pretty much the only reason I haven't switched to the proton calendar yet.
It is very convenient to be able to have a quick overview of what kind of appointment it is by the color I have assigned to it.
If it does get implemented I'd also prefer the possibility to pick the color from a color picker optionally perhaps.
For instance in the webmail there is an option to pick a color for labels but those are very limited so I'd prefer more color choice as well.
