    It's hard to understand how you bother to support keyboard actions and then do not select a message after performing an action. A user can press A to archive a message, which is convenient. But then needs to use the mouse to select the next message to perform an action on. The whole point of keyboard actions is to, presumably, support keyboard workflows for processing email. This is broken when you don't select a message after delete/archival.

    I wonder what percent of users are also using Gmail, or are coming from Gmail. This is a bigger deal than the Proton product devs might think. This has a material effect on a day's workflow - having to context switch muscle memory is a PITA.
