    The originator of this idea stated it perfectly: my wife and I want a single shared calendar that is our default calendar.

    For events that require travel, it is important that the calendar entries reflect travel time as distinguished from event start time, similar to the feature in Apple's Calendar application. A workaround is to create a second event to account for travel time, but that is rather inefficient.
