    There are currently very limited dark mode options on the Proton Mail app. In addition to the purple, there should be an option for a dark mode theme with a black background, like the web app and many other apps have. The purple seems to not like formatted emails. For example, my newsletter is supposed to have a black background, but the Proton Mail app overrides it, making the newsletter illegible and messy. This seems like it should be an easy fix, as it's the only email service I'm aware of where these problems exist. The formatting is directly impacting newsletters and other emails that are supposed to have certain background colors.

    I believe this is something that must be fixed promptly.
