Adding onto this as an refugee from the spyware known as Windows 11.

When mint is presented as the only windows-like option, and those of us who need easy of use (as I am not trying to teach my parents or grandparents how to use the terminal, but who know how to teach them use a VPN application and download an app store app) a flatpak is really the only option for mass adoption.

It's like watching the Iphone come out, and then as a company choosing to refuse to use the app store and instead force side loading. It's how you kill a product at launch.

I hate making random accounts but I did so to support this. The fact a basic feature like secure core isn't available on the main distro being recommended to those fleeing windows 11 is frankly unacceptable. It's already annoying enough to have to flee an OS, but now having to beg to get support for the only window-like OS on the market is infuriating.

At a minimum support Secure core in the CLI, but it would be better to fully support a GUI flatpak.

Those of us begrudgingly fleeing windows arn't choosing arch and trying to force it on us just to use the service will make us consider any competitor that makes it easy.
