Waste of resources. At best an appimage is enough.

This seems redundant in my opinion. Why not just get a solution like Tailscale then?

Why deform Proton into something it isn't, when there are free experienced/advanced and highly specialized solutions already out there being maintaned?

No absolutely not. First of all not every distro supports flatpak so you're forcing users to install bloat.

Second of all, AppImages solved the issues with program packaging already. Just provide an appimage, no need to mess around with yet another solution with your already strained resources.

Proton Team, do not waste your time with this one. Next people on the snap community will ask for a snap. etc. etc.
This packaing nonsense conflict is constantly discussed in the linux community. Save yourself the hassle.
