Proton Drive not only lacks this basic feature, it becomes a critical need because I've observed it actively backing up every variation of every picture in the Photos app on the Apple products I've used over the years. Then also endlessly repeats complete backup cycles, rather than just backing up new ones, where it seems to collect even more duplicates. Every new crop, every new color adjustment, more and more wasted space just quietly piles up. And, with photo loading times being brutally slow, it's impossible to keep up manually.
