Letting us at least preview Excel files in the browser instead of making us download each file to open it on the desktop.

Locking Folders
I think folders should lock by default. It would be nice to be able to set up a regular filter to skip the inbox for certain messages and put them directly into folders (which already exists), but the caveat is that the folders should have an option to require a pin or password to unlock the folder. In essence, this would allow the filter to send the message to the folder, but the folder can only be opened, and its contents viewed if the correct password/pin is input. For added security, it would be cool if the pin/pass was unique…

EML Preview
La prévisualisation de fichiers type .eml n'est pas prise en charge. C'est regrettable :(
Quand on est sur des listes de discussions mail, il est fréquent de recevoir ce type de fichier comme synthèse de la discussion. Pouvoir le prévisualiser ou le lire directement dans proton serait top :)1 vote -

Hover to preview first 1-2 lines of unopened email
an optional hover feature would help me to prioritize my email replies: hover cursor over unopened mail in Inbox to view the first 1-3 lines of the email (3 might be needed if email begins with Dear ____, skipped line, then body of email begins)

One click print from desktop app
In the Mac OS desktop version of Proton Mail, when you select the print button, it opens a window with a print button. Then you have to select print button again which then opens the print preview pane.
Can you streamline this function into one step?

Add an existing email as an attachment to email draft
It should be possible to add another mail (or mails) as an attachment to a message.

Go to inbox landing page when logging in
Go directly to inbox landing page when logging in to Protonmail
I want to be able to log in to my Protonmail account and immediately see my inbox without having to always click on a link to go to the inbox. Can this be done?
I also feel there should at least be a chat or way to contact customer service for paying customers. Disappointed in this procedure and have wasted a lot of my own precious time searching for answers to my questions, only to come up empty handed. We are all very busy

Choose sender
I case of a redirected message from another mail server, it would be great if you could add the email address it was forwarded from as sender in the Proton web client.

Push notification: highlight Delete email with red
When there’s a push notification of an email, based on preview, I can guess of it’s important or not. If I want to delete it, I’d tap on the notification an hold to see the context menu.
The delete option should be written in red. Like on Gmail. Every time I need to read all options to find the right one whereas with Gmail I do it instinctively not reading what’s each option.1 vote -

Make Mail App the same as Mail Web
Make the Mail App the same as Mail Web. I.e provide the same settings for both version of Proton Mail.
More specifically provide Mail App at least with the same themes (e.classic, carbon etc) as for the Mail Web

Allow the editing of desktop app toolbar actions
Create a feature similar to the iOS app that allows users to change the actions displayed in the toolbar and their order of appearance. The iOS app has this feature, and it is much needed for the desktop app.

Create "Block Sender Domain" right-click feature for e-mails in SPAM folder.
I found that often when SPAMmers send e-mails they send several of them in a short time from different fake names from the same domain. For now I use the "Block Sender" feature but that only blocks one sender from that domain and does not block the rest. It would be handy if, like manually adding those to the filters, we could also more easily block their domain. Maybe with a confirmation box showing us the domain that this is expected to be applied to as a safeguard.

Do NOT display attachments from other emails in a thread in the main mail list
Do NOT display attachments from other emails in a thread in the main mail list.
I just paid a wrong, old, bill because the PDF bill attachment from a month-old email was displayed below the current email about a new, this month's bill.
There is no reason to display attachments for old emails under new emails. Please remove this to only display the attachment in the current email.

Dark mode for the body when composing in desktop app
Option to enable dark mode (white text on black background) when composing in the body of a new message. Feature should be able to invert default borderline colors inside opened messages that currently default to white to black to better match user system settings.
