Reading Pane for iPad App
Please can we have a reading pane for the iPad mail app, it would make moving between emails much easier. Thank you

Desktop notification options - choose what you want, email, calender or both.
Can you add option to choose what notifications you want? I would like to choose just calendar notifications and NOT email notifications.

search by label
Proton Mail does not allow users to search for emails based on label combinations using boolean logic.
I want to be able to search for emails that have both "Label A" AND "Label B".
And I want to be able to search for emails that have "Label A" but exclude those that also have "Label B".
No Field Syntax: The advanced search syntax documentation lists operators for text, phrases, and wildcards, but lacks a label: field prefix (e.g., label:work, !label:sales) to target the label specifically.1 vote -
Add in the Messages and Composing setting to extend the fixed 2 sec Draft Auto-Save
It would be nice to increase the duration of a composing email that auto-saves a draft (every 2 secs) in Proton's settings. It creates unnecessary url log clutter in history each and every written pause.
I've noticed other emails services don't have a setting for this either. Mainly because they are using it to collect user data (writing and thought processing speed). With the number of saves and how long a person pauses, you can infer how someone thinks and a profile is generated and added about you.

Search function in ios for quickly manual moving emails to specific folders
If you have a lot of mailboxes, moving an email in iOS is a real pain – why can’t they integrate a search function, just like in the Mac app, that allows you to quickly select the destination folder?

Sort newsletters by overall COUNT regardless of read/unread
The newsletter feature is awesome but it is missing a core sorting functionality which is sorting by the number of emails not currently deleted - regardless of read/unread status. I want to sort so that I can clean up my inbox with the most bang for buck, and all the ones that have nothing "unhandled" will naturally fall to the bottom.

Searchable folders when moving emails
When you go to move an email to a folder, have a search bar to filter out the folders you're not looking for. Please have this for all your platforms (mobile, web, etc.). This is very useful for those with many folders and subfolders.

Please allow more sizes to the existing widget and add a month view

More options for categories notifications
For the Categories in "Email Preferences", the current options are either "Mute" or "Push Notifications". I think a third option like a low frequency digest would be useful. For example, receiving alot of notification emails would lead to one notification at most every day with "You received N update emails".

Joint mailbox for Duo accounts-no-brainer, surely?
Very surprised and rather disappointed that what seems like a pretty obvious standard option for a duo account (and one that we had assumed would be there) isn't present.
At the very least there should be the option for 1 joint address, as let's face it Duo is otherwise an absolutely ideal account for couples with young/no children. That's why we are signed up to Duo anyway.
We had planned to use this nonexistent feature for comms with our 4 year old's school, household bill and shopping accounts etc. and aren't able to understand why this wouldn't just be standard…1 vote -
Allow AI-Assisted Filter Creation via Draft-Approval Workflow

I'm proposing a new feature where filters (email rules) can be created in a DRAFT/PENDING state that requires manual user authorization before activation. This would enable AI assistants like Lumo to generate filter recommendations without requiring risky direct mailbox access or manual copy-paste setup.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Currently, Proton Mail has two critical gaps for power users:
No filter import/export capability — must recreate all filters manually when migrating or resetting
Slow server-side search (due to encryption) — 60k+ email mailboxes become painful to navigate; filters are essential but tedious to set up

Allow ability to edit emails from within a group
Sometimes when you add an email to a group, it shows up just as an email. If I want to later go back and add the person's name I have to click out of the group and edit each email address individually. It would be much easier if we could do this from within the group so we could edit multiple listings.
In addition, the names in the group should automatically appear in alphabetical order. In a large group, it's very hard to find and remove individuals who want to opt out of the group.

Three Scrollable columns to pick a date on calender
Add three scrolable columns to calender at date picker at event to change date/month/year. Currently if user want to select 2000 they want to click to back many times but with this feature user can just scroll easiely to any future or past year and also same to months and dates

„Reminder“ function in Proton Calendar
I think it would be really useful if I could set a one-off event in Proton Calendar. Apple Calendar calls this a ‘reminder’. It’s very handy if you’re meeting someone at a specific time, need to be somewhere at that time, or simply want to be reminded.

Filter Categories/Sub Filters
When adding entries into a filter, allow to create sub filters. This would be useful if: The domain has multiple addresses, and they could be filtered to go where they need to go. You could keep the max 50 main filters, but you could have a higher limit of sub filters. You could also create Filter categories, where you could add various domains. This would be similar to sub filters, but you could define/have more granular control of where this and that mail can go. It could also be a simple way to know what those addresses for.

Saving email filter
To me, it would be very useful to be able to save an email filter for future use, as an alternative to folders and/or labelling.

In ProtonMail web, allow deselecting all selected emails via Shift + Click on the "select all emails" button or add extra button for it
Currently, if you select 1 or more email, to deselect it without pressing on each of them you need to first press the "select all emails" button, and then press it again, once it turns into "deselect all emails" to remove that selection.
This feels kinda clunky so I would like an alternative, using a key modifier (Shift + Click on the "select all emails" button) or a keybind (like Ctrl + Shift + A or something like that, so it's out of the way and harder to do accidentally) or an extra button on the UI or any combination…

Rolling window for search message content
Currently search message content can only be enabled on the entire history. It would be very useful to be able to enable it for a rolling-window e.g. "last 90 days"

I would like to use Proton Mail in the web as IMAP client (not server) to transfer my Gmail content. I tried the Apple bridge w/o success.
I would like to use Proton Mail, the web App, as IMAP client (not server) to transfer my Gmail content to Proton. I tried the Apple bridge to download all emails into my local App and then reuploaded into Proton Mail by reassigning the folder, but the transfer took forever and the success was patchy. I can’t use the direct method currently available because I am using my own DNS in both accounts which blocks it as it is described in the documentation. IMAP would be great, I could switch off the forwarding in Gmail and don’t have to start…
