"Upcoming Birthdays" Widget from the Proton Mail App
Currently, the highly requested feature of integrating contact birthdays into the calendar seems delayed, likely due to the technical complexities of Zero-Access Encryption and syncing data between the Contacts and Calendar backends. However, a dedicated client-side solution could solve this issue efficiently for mobile users.
Since the Proton Mail app already decrypts our contacts locally on the device to display the address book, it has access to the birth dates in plain text. My proposal is to build an "Upcoming Birthdays" widget for Android/iOS that is directly tied to the Proton Mail app.How it would work:

"Filter similar emails" when cleaning out the mailbox
I Gmail I love the feature (when selected one or more emails) "filter similar email", and then it selects all email from that address, så I can deleted them all at once. I don't see that option in Proton Mail, and really miss it,

iOS shortcut for sending an email
It should be possible to automate proton email sending via iOS shortcuts app in the same way as it works for the Apple Mail app.
Example workflow:
1. Select Files — lets the user pick one or more files.
2. Send Email — prefilled like:
• Body text: “Hello, here’re my attachments:” and then an embedded File token (the file(s) selected above).
• Fields in the action header: with Subject and to Recipients (both are parameter “chips”).
• Extra fields shown:
• From: (optional)
• Cc: (email addresses)
• Bcc: (email addresses)
• A toggle: Show Compose Sheet (checked), meaning…6 votes -
Less resource-heavy Proton Mail App for Linux
The Proton Mail app on linux is very, very resource heavy, over the 100%. The fan starts to blow immediately when starting Proton, see the top listing below.

Change behavior of check all box when some emails are already selected
When some emails are already selected, the current behavior of the check all box is to check all on the first click, and uncheck all on the second click. This is the opposite of the behavior in other email apps such as Gmail. If you already have some boxes checked, it's more likely that you've just finished whatever action you were taking and just need to deselect them all again, so the first click should uncheck all the boxes, and then a second click would check all the boxes. Or at least that's my opinion. If this ends up being…

Bulk Print
Bulk print e-mails. Able to select at least up to 10 e-mails and print all as a batch operation from a single print button press. Helpful when exporting e-mails as print to PDF, or simply to put critical e-mails into hardcopy for a sorted subject / sender.

First class Google Calendar integration
Much like it's now possible to send messages from the Gmail address, I'd love to being able to create Google Calendar events from within Proton Calendar; i.e. in parity with Proton's own calendars. Many applications out there link with Google services, unfortunately, which explains this necessity.

Turn the self-promoting with the flashy 'Special offer' down a few notches
I think i might speak for the majority of paying customers: We pay good money to be spared from promotions/advertising and now exactly that is sneaking in through the back door - a flashy, gaudy promotion button and inside the UI of all places! And not even smart enough to hide itself even after I clicked on it! No context menu either that would allow me to hide that 'thing'.... Please do better and live up to your own advertising promises!

[bug] delete message deletes conversation
Android app option to delete message in conversation deletes the entire conversation. Should be fixed, so that only the message in the conversation is deleted.

Show scroll bar in mail
On my device there's no visible scroll bar when I see mail messages. So on long ones there's no evidence of the actual position of the visible portion of the email in the entire body, and there's no way to directly jump to a specific position.
There's should always be an interactive vertical scroll bar for long messages.1 vote -

Block specific destination emails when using catchall with custom domains
Add a block (blacklist) for specific destination addresses when using custom domains (Similar to block list on the spam filter, but for destination, not sender).
Why:
I use a catchall for my custom domain, so that I register everywhere with a different email and can easily track who's leaking my data.
The issue with that is that spam bots send emails to common addresses (like contact@domain) with phishing attempts.
It'd be good to have a way of blacklisting specific addresses on custom domains so that these emails don't even go through (ideally returning an error 550 5.1.1)1 vote
