Implement the "Choose" function
In the Identity and addresses/Display name and signature/E-mail address section, implement the "choose" function, so as to force the choice of the address from which to send the e-mail, avoiding sending errors.

Signature Creator
I would love it if there was a built-in wysyiwyg signature creator which formats signatures with what I assume is HTML code. That way you could upload content in columns - like with your logo left and your contact information right, as well as easily insert images for profile pictures and social media icons, etc. This should look polished and professional when done and it should be mobile-friendly / created with a fluid layout where necessary. I also want more font options from Google Fonts so people can match their signature to their brand - this should be easy to…

Automatically move emails to folders
It would be great if it was possible to configure the automatic movement of incoming messages to certain folders.
For example, set up automatic movement to a folder based on the sender or keywords from the subject of the message.

Include at least the most known fonts from each of the Vox-ATypI classification's 11 fonts families along with a complete coloring palette
I am grateful to Proton for offering everyone safe services who complement Mozilla Firefox to a charm and that both Mozilla & Proton stand to keep Internet as a free and safe shared world resource as its inventor Tim Berners-Lee wanted it to be and I am sincerely grateful for that, I donate to Mozilla sometimes and even have been pondering switching to a Proton Unlimited account to support them because they actually respect us their users and they protect us from greedy corporations and paranoid governments who want to know everything on everyone whereas they are the ones who…

Desktop App High RAM Usage
Is it typical for the desktop app (running on Win10 Pro) to consistently and constantly use 450-500 MB of RAM while idle? If this level of memory usage is expected, can you work on reducing it? For comparison, two instances of Firefox, each with multiple tabs open, averages 600-700 MB of RAM when idle on my machine.

Easy way to switch spellchecking language in desktop App for multilingual users
How about implementing a quick way (shortcut/right click whatever) of switching spellchecking language in desktop App (windows) for multilingual users such as me - I communicate in 4 or 5 different languages and I would love to get rid of the "angry" red squiggly lines under correctly spelled words, and perhaps even some help to avoid occasional typos/spelling mistakes, in the languages that I am less proficient in.

Restore Deleted Items From Trash to Where They Were Deleted From
I accidentally deleted my entire inbox today, thinking it was spam. I was unable to cancel the operation so after some time I was hoping to be able to just restore my messages from trash. I needed to move files from trash, to archive, and then from archive to inbox. I may have missed the option in my haste, but I did not see a restore option, and think that would be highly valuable if it does not already exist.

Cancel Large Jobs During Run
Some large operations take a significant amount of time. If a button is clicked by accident there is no way to cancel the operation.
E.g. I accidentally moved my entire inbox to trash when I thought I was in the spam folder. There was then no way to easily restore emails so I had to move to archive, and then go through each page to move emails back to inbox.
Had I been able to cancel the operation, this wouldn't have taken to long to recover from.

Direct access to downloaded attachments
Currently, when I download a file attachment, I have to open a folder to find a downloaded attachment. It would be great to get direct access to the file or its folder.

Set and remember desktop app update configuration (auto vs manual)
Please create an app setting that Remembers my choice to EITHER auto update without my confirmation OR to check manually and update later. Also please have the setting ask and remember whether or not I want a desktop icon. Many people like a mass of desktop icons, but many don't.

Option for product switcher to open local install
Currently in Proton Mail, there is a button which provides access to other proton tools. These tools are in fact shortcuts to the Proton website related to each tool.
The idea should be to evaluate if each tool has been installed localy and call these tools instead of going the the websites.2 votes -

POP3 / SMTP support
ProtonMail for iOS should also act like a well integrated POP3/SMTP client that can send and receive email using Gmail, Outlook.com, and similar services. ProtonMail should look up the recipient’s PGP keys using reputable registries and provide the option of encryption and signing when sending to those parties. All mail should be stored in ProtonMail, and ProtonMail should send the delete call when retrieving via POP3. When onboarding new POP3/SMTP providers, ProtonMail should retrieve and delete from source all email and properly tag each email with a searchable and sortable tag identifying the source. ProtonMail should automatically list PGP keys…

Open on last screen
When multiple screens are used, the app opens across both (2 screens) instead of opening on the last screen it was used on. To capture this feature you have to NOT have the app maximized. Not ideal.

Storage indicator per email
I think it would be nice to have a way to see how much storage each email is taking up, like maybe a pop up that you can see if you right click on the email you desire to see the storage for.

Locking Folders
I think folders should lock by default. It would be nice to be able to set up a regular filter to skip the inbox for certain messages and put them directly into folders (which already exists), but the caveat is that the folders should have an option to require a pin or password to unlock the folder. In essence, this would allow the filter to send the message to the folder, but the folder can only be opened, and its contents viewed if the correct password/pin is input. For added security, it would be cool if the pin/pass was unique…
