hover shows actual email address
Proton Mail used to display the email address of the sender when hovering over the sender's name in a list. This features seems to have disappeared !
It is especially useful when an email appears which could be spam with a faked FROM name to show the FROM address. Then you can see Amazon / Ebay/ PayPal / YourBank is actually lyingthievingspammer@123456.co.jp or whatever.Another post mentions similar about links.
This is a really useful feature.

Does your video converter remux or re-encode? Most people never check
Something worth knowing before you convert anything: most converters re-encode by default, even when they don't need to.
Re-encoding decodes and rebuilds every frame. Do it once and you might not notice. Do it repeatedly, moving the same file between formats, and the degradation compounds. That's why a clip can look fine on your phone and noticeably soft when it finally hits a TV.
The alternative is remuxing — copying the existing video and audio streams into a new container without touching them. Zero quality loss, near-instant. FFmpeg does it with -c copy. The catch: it only works when the codec already fits the target format.
So when you're comparing converters, the questions that actually matter are:
Does it remux when it can, or always re-encode?
Does it preserve frame rate, aspect ratio, metadata and the audio stream?
Does it batch convert mixed formats in one pass, or one file at a time?
Is there a file size ceiling?
I've been testing Kernel Video Converter on a mixed-format job. Source support is broad — MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, MXF, MTS, WEBM, WMV, DVD VOB and more — with outputs to MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, plus audio extraction to MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, OGG, WMA and AC3. It preserves frame rate, aspect ratio, metadata and audio stream on HD conversion, batch converts mixed formats in one operation, and has no file size restriction. Windows only.
One thing to know before downloading: it's not free software. The trial converts without limitation, but you can only view the first 15 seconds of the output — enough to confirm it handles your file, but full playback needs a license.

Let filters and Sieve rules assign Email Categories
Email Categories can currently only be influenced by manually moving messages and waiting for the model to learn. For some senders this never converges. For example, Substack newsletters are consistently put in the wrong category for me, even after repeatedly moving them to Newsletters. Users need a deterministic override.
Please add:
1. A "Move to category" action in custom filters, and a Sieve equivalent (e.g. setcategory "Newsletters";).
2. An "Always categorize this sender as ..." option, like the existing "Always move sender's emails" checkbox, ideally also at domain level (e.g. *@substack.com).
3. Clear precedence: explicit user rules override automatic categorization.This would also cover the related request to set categories based on the receiving alias (https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-proton-mail-calendar/suggestions/51648520-category-based-on-e-mail-alias), since the alias could simply be a filter condition.

Comic sans font option
I think it is the peak of comedy to send my friends emails in comic sans font, and I would like to request the ability to do that here on Proton as well (seeing as Google already allows it). It's silly, I know it's silly, but sometimes we need silly things with the world the way it is. Therefore, I would like to request the silly idea solely for the sake of comedy.

For example, users could have more granular settings for which calendar events or emails can trigger alerts, along with an easy temporary “snooze” option. A smoother connection between Mail and Calendar would also make it easier to turn an email into a reminder or calendar event without leaving the message.
I also think a cleaner way to manage links and important information from emails would improve the overall experience. Add BIMI Logo Fetching for Imported Emails
When emails are imported from external providers such as Gmail or other IMAP accounts into Proton Mail, the sender's avatar is often missing or replaced with a generic placeholder. It would be a great enhancement if Proton could automatically fetch and display BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) logos for imported emails whenever the original sender's domain publishes a valid BIMI record.
This would make imported conversations feel more native, improve visual consistency, and help users quickly recognize legitimate brands without relying solely on the sender name or email address

My calendars arrangement and sorting function
The ability to re-arrange the order of My calendars in the desktop side bar/event drop down menu would be a useful quality of life change. Currently, you must deleted the calendars you have created and create new ones in the exact order you want instead of dragging and dropping the sorting, which is terrible.

Event Presets for Calendar
When creating a new event in Proton Calendar, it would be nice to be able to have a list of custom presets to choose from. I often have to input events that have the same details (duration, name, calendar) at different times, and it would be helpful to not have to fill in each data field every time.

Keep Message Header Visible While Scrolling (Sticky Header)
When reading long emails in the Proton Mail web interface, the message header scrolls out of view along with the email body. This makes it inconvenient to check important information such as the sender, recipients, or message date without scrolling back to the top.
It also makes accessing message actions unnecessarily cumbersome, as users have to scroll back to the top of the email to perform actions such as Reply, Forward, or any other available message action.
I would like to suggest keeping the message header permanently visible at the top of the reading pane while scrolling through an email, so that message details and actions remain accessible regardless of the scroll position.
Ideally, this behavior should be configurable in Settings, allowing users to enable or disable the sticky message header according to their preferences.

Toggle Floating "Unread" and "Compose" Buttons in Mobile App
Apologies that I am not using the correct terminology as I have no clue what they are.
I would like to suggest having a toggle to make the "Unread" and the "Compose" buttons that are floating at the bottom of the screen to become static (?) at the top in the Header area, under or next to where it says "Inbox". I assume making these floating had something to do with the Categories that were implemented, but that was turned into a toggle. These floating buttons at the bottom of the screen hide emails and take up space especially on small devices.

include original To/CC recipients in the quoted headers when forwarding a message.
When forwarding an email, only the TO recipients are added in the quoted headers. This means that the recipient of the mail does see all the recipients that got the email originally.
Email is a legally allowed document. It is very frustrating that I got into legal problems because I could not show directly that a specific person had gotton the mail as a cc recipient, because in the forward that person was then not visibile anymore as a recipient.
Please add cc recipients in quoted headers when forwarding a message. Or make optional to enable it.1 vote -

notification placement within the frame of the Mail / Calendar app.Please can you consider RELAXING your visual language and allow a bit more grace,

program window using a full 10% of the app's vertical footprint. This is what one might

Proton VPN GUI Linux. Enable secure core by default under settings. Due to Smart Routing leak
There is a leak in your Smart Routing Technology that leaks the real server location in the US, and you promote it as a brilliant solution.
This affects an estimated 6.7 million Proton users in LATAM.
On top of the transparencies required in this field, where there are rights of US expats that pretend to show in the country they actually live in and not where they come from.
On top of human rights that could be involved that I haven't even completely considered, there are dissidents expecting to show up from somewhere else.
There is also a commercial impact on international companies' revenues.
FixedFloat and Peach Sarl are two examples, both crypto-related, both with restricted US usage behind Cloudflare's NS. But there are many more.
This means that to connect to either of these companies where I work, I can't use the Quicker Connection Server settings because all LATAM shows as US.
I'm forced to choose a fixed location like CA or IS to access my own company server, with no CTO access rights to whitelist my IP.
Well, at least let me still show from PY on non-Cloudflare-affected websites but on the others.
And give me back a better Secure Core implementation in this app.

Even if it's still a partial solution, allow enabling "Secure Core" by default and so at startup from the settings of the Linux GUI app.
I know you are going in the other direction by moving the Secure Core settings from general UI to country- and server-specific settings. But we need general filter settings like we have for any other features, like blocking level.
This way, we will be able to work on our servers without having to change from fast connections, showing as IS or CH, and not be blocked by the US, even if we are all in PY. I handle 5 accounts and 2 teams, and we are considering switching at least from your VPN business plan.
We are already implementing our team solution in Caaguazú, PY, for IPs to be whitelisted on all the team servers, VPSs, and barebones. And you lost a potential client with your extra offer for dedicated IPs.

Proofread Feature: Display diff compared with original draft
Current Experience with Proton Mail Web Client:
- I formulate an email
- i wanna have it proofread, to avoid mistakes, while not wishing for AI to correct anything but spelling mistakes or grammar issues
- I use the proofread button, Proton Mail displays a changed version of my original mail. I cant see my original draft at this point.
- The only way to compare the drafts (to ensure AI hasnt done anything unexpected), is to do some manual copy pasting and comparing. Doing so feels clunky and not like a productivity improvement at all.
- usually i end up using claude instead, to see both versions side by side, with claude highlighting the changes madeInstead Proton Mail should calcualte some sort of diff (like in Git Implementations). Would really improve my workflow with Proton Mail

iOS: Remind users to open Proton Calendar regularly to restore notification reliability
On iOS, Proton Calendar is treated like any other third-party app by the operating system. When the app hasn't been opened for a period of time, iOS puts it into a background state that prevents it from sending notifications for scheduled calendar events. This causes users to miss important reminders without any indication that something is wrong.
Implement a "wake-up" reminder notification similar to what Trakt.tv does for their app. If Proton Calendar detects it hasn't been opened in a while, send a push notification prompting users to open the app to continue receiving calendar notifications reliably.
