  1. Request for Single Email Print/Export with Full Header, No Conversation Trail

The current web interface forces the user to either expand the trail, which includes all previous messages, or manually copy and paste parts of the email, which is tedious and time-consuming. Consider adding a feature to export or print only the current email with its full header, excluding the conversation trail. This would save a lot of hassle and make the platform more user-friendly for those of us who need this functionality regularly.

  3. only run filters against inbox

It is really a BAD, BAD idea to run filters against all messages. During the normal course of operation, a common thing to nappen is a receipt from newegg gets put into the ads folder.... I manually move it to my receipts folder.
Now, when you run filters against all messages - it moves it from the receipts folder back to the ads folder, which really destroyed my organization. I really only want the inbox sorted when I run a filter against "all messages" (for instance, I add a new store to my sorting that I hadn't filtered on before).…

  4. Streamline the add reminders interface (Android)

    For the Android app:

When adding reminders to a calendar event, the current experience takes the user through a lot of clicks. This should be streamlined.

I propose that the click to add a reminder or change a reminder opens a popup with preset choises that the user can control in settings. The user should at this stage have the opportunity to single press an option, making the pop-up close immediately, and leaving you with the exact same view of the calendar event setting as before. Of course there should be an option to add a costum reminder, which should…

  5. Could you please work to incorporate task manager features in Proton calendar? This is critical to be able to replace apps like Todoist.

The current way to enter events is fine, but it's a bit archaic. We also need to be able to add tasks that can be checked off. AI could be used to streamline data entry for both of these processes.

  6. Proton Mail: "Move To" improvement (1 click instead of 2 clicks?)

    Hi!

I noticed that recently, Proton Mail has a slight change in the UI, meaning, when I click "Move To" to move an email to a folder, I now need to:

    1st select the folder
    2nd click the "Move" button

As an observation, I believe the way this was done before was way better: only click on the folder and the email was moved straight away. In case there will be a decision to revert to this simple straight forward way, I would again add, that the way the radio button worked before, required one to be very accurate and…

  7. Reduce ProtonMail app PIN attempts to logout.

The app allows you to enter an incorrect PIN 20 times before automatically logging you out. It should be like Proton Pass and limit you to only 3-5 attempts before logging out.

  9. Improvements Needed: Email Subject Line and Font Size in ProtonMail

I would like to draw the PM designers' and developers attention to the fact that the current ProtonMail app email view displays the subject line in the middle of the screen instead of on the left side. Additionally, the font size is considerably large, with the subject line and sender information taking up almost half of the screen, which looks unappealing. I request the ProtonMail team to change this by reducing the font size and aligning the subject line to the left side. I believe these changes will save significant screen space and enhance the email view. Thanks.

  10. Is it possible to Preview Excel contacts before converting to VCF?

Yes, there are ways to preview Excel contacts before creating VCF files. Tools like ToolsBaer Excel to vCard Converter make the process easier by displaying a complete preview of all contacts before conversion, ensuring accuracy, and showing all mistakes. This helps you to verify names, phone numbers, emails, and other details before converting Excel to VCF format. The technical tool works on all Windows versions, from 11 to 7. Also, supports all Excel and vCard versions like 2.1, 3.0, and 4.0. No need to learn technical knowledge for converting an Excel file to vCard format.

  11. Automatically load remote content through Proton VPN

For the load remote content, why not have proton mail automatically load them through Proton VPN? This would be really useful and convenient instead of having to manually enable proton vpn on the browser if viewing through mail.proton.me, or system-wide vpn/split tunneling. apple mail does this for you

  12. Hide the folder "All mail"

For me the folder All mail isn't a great idea; for me is a distraction.
I prefer to hide this folder because for me isn't useful.
    How do you think about?
    Thanks

  13. Detect and strip localized reply prefixes

When replying to emails, Protonmail and many other clients detect the existing "Re:" prefix in the subject, and don't add a new one to prevent the "Re: Re: Re: ..." mess.

This is fine in English, but other languages use different prefixes.

For example, the Finnish localization of Outlook sends its replies with "VS:", but Protonmail doesn't understand that prefix. This causes email threads with people who use Outlook to look like this:

    -> "Original Title"
    <- "Re: Original Title"
    -> "VS: Original Title"
    <- "Re: VS: Original Title"
    -> "VS: VS: Original Title"
<- "Re: VS: VS: Original Title"…

  14. Better handling for known-dangerous email sent to a compromised address

TLDR: Please give us a better option for handling email that is almost certainly dangerous, ie in my case email sent to an address that only receives dangerous email. Some suggested ideas at bottom.

I have a [service]@[myname].com email address, which I used many years ago to sign up for a service that is now defunct. It's one of many, many catch-all email addresses that I use on that custom domain.

Many years ago that email address was part of a hack/leak. I now regularly receive phishing email, or emails with surely-dangerous PDFs, to that address. No legitimate email will…

  15. Dynamic / Preset‑Driven Layout for Proton Mail Desktop

    Short Description
Allow users to control how the Proton Mail interface/layout adapts to different screen sizes, offering automatic, preset‑based, fixed, and power‑user‑customizable layout modes.

    Proposed Behavior / Modes
    1. Automatic
The app detects the current viewport size and selects the most suitable layout on‑the‑fly (compact on narrow windows, spacious on wide ones).
    2. Preset‑by‑Screen‑Size
Users create named presets (e.g., Laptop‑Compact, Monitor‑Spacious) that define panel visibility, widths, and other UI choices. The app automatically applies the appropriate preset whenever the detected screen width falls within the preset’s defined range.
    3. Fixed (Static) Layout
A single layout is locked and never changes, regardless…

  16. Improve Proton Calendar Widget on iOS

Wouldn't it be nice to improve iPhone's default widget?

Today it only shows events for the current day, while it would be desirable to show events for the next 1/2 days as well (like the Apple calendar widget).

I think this is an easy feature to implement and would benefit all users.

  17. Schedule an email to be deleted at a particular time/date

I'd like to be able to schedule when an email is moved to Trash, kind of like schedule send except for deleting instead. I already use the Self-destruct, however, it permanently deletes the email whereas I'd like the email to go to Trash, and the feature is not available on mobile yet.

  18. Proton Mail Business: Journal Inbox for Compliance

Proton's stronger cryptography makes it more difficult to meet certain compliance standards that require retention policies and auditability.

There is a deleted thread about being compliant with the German GoBD which applies to most German Businesses. [https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-proton-mail/suggestions/46327108-gobd-conformant-archiving-for-business-accountsl] [https://ao.bundesfinanzministerium.de/ao/2023/Anhaenge/BMF-Schreiben-und-gleichlautende-Laendererlasse/Anhang-64/inhalt.html]

Of couse implementing a country specific legal framework is probably out of scope for Proton Mail.

But a lot of solutions can be integrated by having a 'Journal Inbox' which receives a copy of every incoming and outgoing message.

These are available in many other Business Email products:
    – Exchange Server: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/policy-and-compliance/journaling/journaling
    – MS365: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/policy-and-compliance/journaling/journaling
    – Google Workspace: …

  19. Make it possible to use both simultaneously on desktop

It is absurd that you cant see the calendar and the mail at the same time. Means you have to open one or the other in the browser so the app is superfluous!!

  20. If a user is using the Proton Mail PWA app on a mobile device, there is no need to show them ads for the Proton Mail mobile app

Currently, this ad is shown to the user, which is absurd, since they are already using the mobile app of this service.
