time entry
In proton calendar
Current time entry format is HH : MM. User must manually type the colon " : " when entering time.
Desire the ability to enter time without typing the colon " : ".
System shall automatically interpret 0800 as 08:00.
Thank you!

Bulk import of .ics files
Importing multiple .ics files to calendar (web) is quite annoying. You have to import each file individually. Allow user to select multiple files to be imported.

Filter on mail without a label
I am organizing my mail mostly with labels. There seems to be however no way to filter mail which does not yet has a label attached to it.

Affichage Calendar
Dans l'application Calendar, il serait utile d'avoir le niveau d'affichage "Année" (au-delà du "Mois") afin de pouvoir accéder plus rapidement à une date (très) éloignée

Prevent unnecessary obfuscation of From addresses to increase phishing prevention
Scenario:
If I send an email using one of my own passmail alias to a regular email address, I will receive responses from an address that has been obfuscated through passmail. For example
- I send an initial email from "personal.alias.aw3kl44@passmail.net" to "support@acmecorp.com"
- I receive a response from "supportatacmecorp_com.98ayuj@passmail.net"
Problem:
This is problematic because I'm now unable to validate the sending address of the response. Is this a legitimate response or a phishing attempt?Expected result:
If I send an email to target address, I expect the response to be from the exact same…3 votes -
Make colours of past appointments in Calendar more visible
I don't find it practical that past appointments are only displayed in grey with a narrow coloured border, making it difficult to distinguish between the colours. I would prefer it if past appointments were displayed in full colour, but perhaps less intensely, i.e. more 'pastel' or transparent than the current ones.

Show number of unread mails on top level folder
I am filtering a lot of my incoming e-mail into (sub)folders. The number of unread mails are displayed in the folder the mail was moved into. My folders are nested (2 or 3 levels deep) into a top level folder. I mostly have a collapsed view of the top level folders. In that case I would like to see if there are unread mails in the collapsed folders.

Resizing for 14'' screen and smaller.
On a 14'' screen my calendar only shows 2 events max. If there is 3 events for the same day then only one of the 3 is shown and the second line says "2 others" despite the fact that there is plenty of space left in the "day square".
Reducing padding of each event could help showing more events per day.
Also, when on a 14'' the line showing the days of the week also takes a lot of space.2 votes -
Date-Based Filtering in Proton Mail
I would like to suggest an improvement to the filtering system in Proton Mail.
Currently, filters allow conditions based on sender, subject, keywords, etc., but it would be extremely useful to have the ability to create filters based on the age of an email (relative to the current date).
For example, I would like to create rules such as:
Automatically move all unread emails that are older than 10 days (based on today’s date) to a specific folder or highlight them.
Automatically move emails that are older than 10 days and already read to the Trash or to another designated…

Avoid threading transactional emails
I noticed that transactional emails sometimes end up getting turned into threads. For example, my barber sends an email with the subject line "Your appointment is confirmed" each time I book a haircut, and each of those emails becomes part of a thread with a confirmation for every haircut I've booked since I started using Proton.
I'd love to see Proton keep transactional emails separate rather than placing them into threads, similar to how Gmail handles such emails. Thank you!

Allow additional (family-)users to add new email addresses without being admin.
Having a family subscription and my family members ask me to create new addresses, because they cannot do that themselves. So now I've changed them all to "admin" because I don't want to deal with their email addresses.
But now they can also add new users and delete existing ones - the can even remove me, the primary admin! That really doesn't seem to the right way to do user authorization.
Please add an "Allow address creation" checkbox next to the "Admin" checkbox in the user popup. That would really solve a problem.

minimize
option to minimize left sidebar; it's awful that ~15% of screen real estate is claimed by folder names, when icons would suffice

Seperate notification for mail versus calendar
The current behaviour is all email and calendar events cause a notification, or none of them do.
Desired separation between a calendar event notification and email arrival notification.
Particular case example: I do not want to be notified of the arrival of every email. I do want to be alerted about calendar events. At present, I must be notified of all emails or I will not be reminded about calendar events.
This problem would be solved with

Allow configuring an optional "activity" time window for Proton Calendar
It would be interesting to have a configuration option which statically excludes a given single (night)time window (or alternatively provide it the other way around as an activity time window) from being displayed in the calendar UI.
Most people don't have e.g. any appointments between 11 pm and 6 am, yet it is taking up valuable screen estate.
Uncluttering the UI by just showing the relevant part of the day and save people from scrolling over always empty rows in the calendar would be a very useful feature.

Black mouse pointer over mail text editor
When composing an email in "Normal" mode it would be very helpful if the mouse pointer is black when hovering over the text editor. Now it is a white pointer over a white field, and therefor either invisible or very hard to see and place over text. This would do much for the usability of the mail editor.

number of calendars in plans
Hi, I've subscribed to Unlimited Plan but intend to downgrade to Plus.
I'm querying the number of calendars...the default is "My calendar" and I've created 2 others to a total of 3 calendars. However, under Settings>Other Calendars there's also an 'inbult' calendar "Holidays in Australia". Does this count towards the overall limit allowed by each plan especially Mail Plus?
TIA

Windows notification click switches folder to Inbox instead of keeping current folder
In the Windows app, when a folder like All Mail is open and a new email notification appears, clicking the Windows notification opens the email but also switches the view to the Inbox. This disrupts workflow when working inside All Mail, where the same email is already visible.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the app on Windows
- Navigate to the All Mail folder
- Receive a new email
- Click the Windows notification for that email
Expected Behavior
The email opens in the reading pane without changing the currently open folder (stay in All Mail).Actual Behavior
The app switches the view to…2 votes -
Swipe to change day / week / month in app
Navigating in Proton Calendar would be so much easier and faster if we could simply swipe to the next month (day/week) in the app.

Improve UI/UX for replying to emails
I'm not sure about anyone else but it's quite frustrating that the interface for writing a reply to an email covers up the email you are trying to reply to.
Would it not be better to follow the UI of Google Mail where you can reply in a box under the actual email you're replying to instead of having this floating window stuck to the bottom of the page?

Add a specific download folder for attachments in the settings, along with restriction (e.g., NAS, Proton Drive, Sandbox)
Currently, Proton Mail doesn't allow users to define a specific download folder for attachments, nor to apply restrictions to them.
However, email remains the primary vector for phishing and malware, with increasingly sophisticated attacks (social engineering, credible content, AI).
The ability to force attachments to be downloaded to a dedicated folder (local, NAS, sandbox, VM) would significantly reduce risks, removing the human element from security alone.
Such a feature would be particularly useful for advanced users, hybrid environments, or professional use cases, and would integrate seamlessly with the filters and aliases already present in Proton Mail.
This would further strengthen…
