Filtering to Help Distinguish Mailers from Common Senders - e.g. Zoom.Us
Example: Assume one receives video conferencing requests from multiple companies that use the same sender, such as Zoom where every email is sent from no-eply@zoom.us. The behind the scenes sender could be anyone from Company A to Company Z. Often the "reply-to" will be filled with the company requesting the video conference.
I see 2 options to solve this problem easily without custom scripting by the ProtonMail user:
- Add a filter for "reply-to" to the existing filter mechanism OR
- Add a filter to search the body of an email (MUCH MORE INTENSIVE).
Thanks for considering this feature.

Simple feature request: Have you included any attachments you wanted to attach? reminder popup on specific email keyword
I just sent an email that included the text "I attached a photo of it" to a client, but i ended up forgetting to attach the photo attachment. In gmail it will remind you if you have the keyword "attachment" in your email when pressing send. I'd like that gmail feature to be in Proton too. This request is just a simple regex and warning message on pressing send for either the keyword "attachment" or a key phrase in this string of text: "I attached a photo of it" when there is no attachment attached to the email.
The email…

Smarter Mail-to-Calendar Integration with One-Click Event Creation
I would love to see tighter integration between Proton Mail and Proton Calendar. Features like automatically creating calendar events from emails, smarter reminders, and better RSVP management would improve productivity. For example, if I receive an email announcing Crumbl Cookies' weekly flavor lineup from https://crumbl-menu.com/, I should be able to create a calendar reminder for Monday's flavor drop with a single click. An AI-powered search that works entirely on-device while preserving privacy would also be a great addition. For Calendar, offline access, richer recurring event options, and easier sharing with non-Proton users would make it even more useful. Overall,…

Proton Mail
Two suggestions: First, replace the word "Messages" with either "email" or "mail" on all webpages and across all platforms because most users associate the word "messages" with text messages. Second, standardize the icon, appearance and wording for the INBOX, DRAFT, SENT, TRASH, etc. across all webpages and platforms for consistency. As an example the icon and text that shows in the Proton Mac version is different than what is shown in the iPad version. Again, make it consistent.

recurring appointments
Create the option to schedule a recurring appointment that happens multiple times a month (2nd and 4th Wednesdays) in a single appointment.
Right now, in order to create this kind of schedule I need to create 2 appointments, one that repeats on the 2nd Wednesday (for example) and another that repeats on the the 4th Wednesday. This causes problems when the overall schedule changes or if there are details to be added to the appointment in that now those changes need to be made twice.

Auto forwarding rules based on Folder
Currently, auto forwarding conditions are limited to the subject, sender or attachment.
I've got a Duo plan and have some emails that I'd like to easily share with my partner. As the emails I'd like to share don't always fit within the above conditions, having it auto forward when put in a specific folder is the next best thing.
Proton Pass has something similar, where we can have a vault and share passwords automatically. Hoping something similar can be implemented in Mail.

booking pages
This might be an allocation or logic difference. While one Appointment Scheduling link is usually ok for most individuals. Please keep in mind that calendar applications have always been marketed to office workers with limited time. On the family/personal account side, having a private link to update the calendar would be nice.
The use case I am specifically thinking of is my Wife working retail, where the schedule is not 8/9-5. It shifts and is only known 2-3 weeks out. I would be nice for her to be able to go to a link and quickly post her 7-10 hour…

Description for each Alias in addition to Display Name
This allows for a reference description of what this alias is being used for. I.E: Display Name {Pierre MySurname} goes out to the world.
At this point I cannot give myself a historical reference like: Used for emails to The Police, Telecoms Company A, Telecoms Company B, etc,
I could always create an alias called EmailAddressToHorribleHumanBeings@pm.me or I could use my Display Name as "Horrible Human Beings Email Address" but that would make things a bit obvious. My suggestion should be quite a simple thing to do by adding a textbox that allow us to add explanations for why we…

Aliases leak original email when attaching public keys
When attaching a public key to an email sent using an alias will leak the original email by two ways:
1. With the public key name
2. Into the pgp key into the user identifier valueI don't know if it could be mitigated but is good to all know that you will leak your original email when attaching the public key

Private, local email counters in Mobile & Desktop apps
It would be great to have a basic monthly email counter (Sent/Received totals) in Proton Mail, stored strictly within the Mobile and Desktop apps for Account Oversight.
Simple & Privacy-First Implementation:
Local App Storage: The metrics can be stored locally using the app's internal database on iOS, Android, and Desktop.
Data Persistence: Because it's saved locally within the app, the data remains safe and persistent on the device without needing to sync with the cloud.
Zero Server Overhead: No data is stored on Proton servers, and no changes to server infrastructure are required.
100% Private: Since both calculation and storage…

Snooze on App
I honestly have no idea why something as basic as a snokze feature is on the web version but not the app. The lack of standardization across platforms is, at this point, inexcusable. Snooze for all

Differentiate between "Unread" and "Unseen"
Use case
Most of the time I don't read/open every single E-Mail that comes in, but rather postpone the unimportant ones to later, while opening the ones that have urgency.
Problem arises by the lack of differentiation; All the "old" unread E-Mails are bundled together with the new ones that came in, and it is a game of memory if it was "42" or "41" unread E-Mails the last time I checked.
Proposal
Make it obvious in the UI how many E-Mails are completely novel, and which are already seen, but not opened yet.
- Add a second counter to the…

Feature Request: Optional "Action PIN" for Sending or Permanently Deleting Emails (Desktop / Web)
I would like to propose an optional safety feature (opt-in) for the Proton Mail web app and desktop client: a user-defined Action PIN required before sensitive actions are performed, such as:
- Sending an email
- Permanently deleting emails (or emptying the Trash)
- Accessing the contact list
Why this is useful:
If a user temporarily leaves their computer unlocked in an office, shared space, internet cafe, or public area, anyone who walks by can currently send emails, permanently delete them, or access the contact list. An optional PIN would serve as a vital last line of defense against unauthorized physical access. How…

Feature Request: Keep Selected Folders Available Offline
It would be very useful if Proton Mail allowed users to mark specific folders as always available offline. The app should automatically synchronize and maintain the latest version of all emails in that folder, including all attachments, so the complete folder contents are accessible without an internet connection.
A practical example would be traveling: before a stable internet connection is available, users could already access all important travel-related information such as booking confirmations, tickets, or reservations. This would also be valuable when users know they will be in a location without connectivity for a period of time. They could rely…

Availability options - have default weekly reoccurring schedule and modify select days.
I would like to see an improvement to the weekly reoccurring schedule. I like that as a base already, but would like to go in and modify select days to add a remove available times as needed.
Would be very similar to what proton has for repeating events in our calendar - we already have repeating events, but can still go in and modify individual instances of it.2 votes -
Collapsible Folder Management
After clicking on the "Manage your folders" icon right next to the + add new folders button, the user is taken to the Folders and labels settings page which shows all folders with subfolders indented.
The idea proposes that the parent folders have a collapsible feature to hide away the folder's subfolders to make folder management less cumbersome. The idea would be akin to how the Windows File Explorer's leftmost sidebar handles folders.2 votes -

Send email to alias from any address of a user without whitelisting or improve whitelisting process
Currently it seems to be impossible to send email to existing alias contact address from email which is not owning the alias. It results in delivery failure email "Attempt to use your alias site.name.slush525@passmail.net from secondaryme@pm.me"
This is problematic, because while you are automatically suggested previously used alias email address inside the recipient field (TO) of a new email form (that is GOOD), you do not remember which address of yours owns that alias in order to bother selecting it in the FROM field.
IMO Proton should automatically use correct FROM address on the background without failing with delivery…
