1. Stop labeling emails as [Possible phishing attempt]

   Probably 50% of my emails have this label. 0% of them are phishing attempts. Also actual phishing emails are not flagged (I actually just received one 10 minutes after submitting this). If you're not able to even remotely accurately label them (which you aren't), you should just stop. It's annoying and obscures the actual subject line of the email.

2. Link (or associate) emails and calendar events

   This is different from creating a Calendar event from an email.

   It is the ability to associate one or more emails with a Calendar event (or a task, which is a feature I expect to see soon).

   Simple use-case:
   - You receive 3 emails on different days notifying you about a delivery you'll have in 2 weeks time.
   - You create a Calendar event two weeks from now saying "a delivery is expected on this day".
   - You link the emails you receive regarding that delivery to that calendar event (or task). Any further emails you receive can also be linked to that event.
   - When going into the calendar event, you can see a list of emails associated with it.

   This is very similar to how labels work, but instead of labels, they are actual Calendar events.

   Another use-case is trip planning. You want to be able to easily refer to the relevant emails directly from a Calendar event.

   This can be achieved quite easily by storing an email UID in a special section of the Calendar event metadata, and similarly, the Calendar events UIDs in the email metadata.

   This is different from creating a Calendar event from an email.

3. Preview attachment in app without downloading (Proton Mail Android)

   It is not possible to preview attachments in the Proton Mail Android app without them being downloaded to the "Downloads" folder of the device, which unneccessarily clutters the folder with content you only meant to view and maybe then decide to download.

   The Proton Drive app does let you preview files without them ending up on the visible device storage, so this should be possible.

5. Scheduling poll (like doodle) but with quadratic votes and tentative events

   To organize an event, it is often necessary to poll a group of people about possible dates. This problem is solved by Doodle (https://doodle.com/), but I'd like to see this as a proton-native operation.

   Specifically, a poll could look like this: You click on a separate "Event Poll" action button under "New Event", enter the addresses of people you'd like to participate in the event, and select some date options. The invited people get emails with a link to a page where they can vote for specific times. All date options show up in your calander with a dashed frame, indicating that scheduling is tentative. Each event also shows the current rank in the poll.

   To get this right, I'd also suggest that the voting system is a quadratic vote (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadratic_voting). This allows invited people to downvote certain dates or express their preferences in a more nuanced way than just "yes/no/maybe".

7. Display folders ontop for ease of access + splitting up additional addresses

   Folders are nice and all, but almost every email provider I've tried before proton has an easier way to go between folders and view labels and the like. Being able to have a folder set up at the top of the inbox would make the fact that additional addresses are forced into the same inbox a little easier because then I could have each email as a separate folder on the top of my email inbox, and then could use sub folders and labels to force separate each email.

   as it currently stands I'm highly considering deleting all my proton emails because the lack of features and everything being forced into one inbox/sent box/etc is super frustrating, and I find the interface not as accessible as prior platforms... I had hoped it'd be like other sites where they'd be sub accounts easily clicked between without needing to change accounts, but I was wrong.

10. Make speed of applying filters to existing messages not PAINFULLY SLOW.

    When creating or modifying a filter and selecting the option to apply the filter to existing messages, the user is met with "Message actions in progress. This may take a while." when viewing the target folder for an extendended lenght of time. Please figure out a way to improve the speed of this operation.

12. More shortened email options

    I was offered shortened @pm.me email option.

    I have to refuse it.

    First reason is, it does not look trustworthy.
    Given that I was offered it only after paying for it by default, means only limited amount of people were ever exposed to it, so it does have limited to none brand recognition. If I were to use it, many people would by default think I am trying to scam them. Same goes for "pm" part as well as ".me" part, it sounds cute, until you try to get into shoes of the receiver that is trying to decide if what he is getting is a scam and .me does not sound legitimate. One of my business friends mentioned to me that she had to make herself @gmail.com acc simply because if she doesn't contact some of her clients with gmail.com, they will assume it is a scam and will not reply to her offers. Now shorten already low recognition brand of @protonmail.com into @pm.me and congratulations, people will even more likely ignore you or flag you as a scam. To have to pay for the opportunity to be ignored is just strange.

    Second reason is, how you spell that.
    So what I do right now when I am communicating my email looks like this:
    - ...@protonmail.com (people just know how to write .com and mail)
    - what, protonmail.com? How do you spell that?
    - I know, not well known, they are about privacy, proton, like in atom, mail, protonmail, together, dot, com.
    - protonmail.com?
    - Yes, that is correct.
    Now how my new conversation would look like:
    - ...@pm.me
    - Mmm, pi em dot me e or p m dot m e?
    - p m dot m e.
    - dot m e.
    - Yes.
    - Ok.
    While before it was "you are not well known", it would turn into "how do you spell that?". Ok for me, I just know, not so great for other people. And what you spell means nothing. It could be at least pmail, like gmail or proton.com (I would prefer that), because that would make sense and everyone would just get it, pm is just why google never went @gm.com route, it sounds like a dm (direct message) joke. Even funnier one would be @p.me, now try to say that out loud.

    So, I would prefer if I get to shorten email, original one is quite long, probably why there is no @googlemail.com, but it should sound more legitimate and end on one of the: .com, .org or country ending (in my case .si, Germany would have .de, Poland .pl and so on), because those endings sound more legit and people already know how to write them, they are well known. It would ease in-person communication and lower the possibility to be flagged as a scam.

13. Suchfunktion wo man termine mit namen suchen kann

    Also ich nutze seit kurzen den Proton Kalender aber mir fehlt eine sehr wichtige funktion, die es eigentlich in fast jeder Kalender App gibt

    nämlich eine suche funktion um Termine schnell zu finden ohne die ganzen seiten durchblättern zu müssen das wäre sehr praktisch und würde vielen nutzern helfen und würde den kalender etwas vereinfachen ich bin mir sicher dass dieser vorschlag wenn er umgesetzt wird mega gut ankommt und würde mich sehr freuen wenn es diese suche funktion bald geben würde!

    In der Handy app fehlt diese suchfunktion für Termine nämlich, wie das auf pc ist weiß ich noch nicht da ich die PC anwendung nicht wirklich benutzt habe aber so eine such funktion wäre meiner meinung sehr wichtig bei handy und pc und falls es die schon bei PC gibt (weiß ich nicht) bitte macht die in die handy app rein denn so eine termin suchfunktion würde alles vereinfachen und wäre einfach nur gut

14. Importing email from Gmail -> don't turn folders into labels

    The mass import from Gmail to Proton Mail was great....except my extensive set of folders/sub folders got turned into one massive list of labels.

    Please either make

    (1) an option where a label category can be converted to a folder; or
    (2) make it so Gmail folders are imported as folders with their nesting folders under them.

    Having to convert everything manually is excruciatingly tedious.

16. Delete confirmation hides the button bar for several seconds, preventing deletion of further emails

    Thank you for the continued development of Proton Mail and Proton Calendar. Your commitment to privacy and user-centric features is greatly appreciated.

    I would like to request a feature that would streamline productivity and organization within the Proton ecosystem: the ability to add an email to Proton Calendar directly from the context menu in all apps.

    Specifically:
    • When right-clicking (or tapping the options menu) on an email in the inbox, or when viewing an open email, there should be an option to “Add to Calendar”
    • This action would create a new calendar event pre-filled with the email’s subject as the event title, and the email body or a link to it in the description
    • Optionally, it could detect and pre-fill suggested times or dates from the email content

    This small addition would greatly improve email-to-calendar workflows, helping users quickly convert information into actionable events without having to copy and paste manually.

    This kind of integration is increasingly expected in modern productivity tools and would help bring Proton’s suite closer to parity with major providers, while maintaining your superior privacy standards.
