Alert new senders on inbox
If a sender never emailed me before, the UI could display a tooltip or an icon alerting me as such.
How would this help? If someone from npmjs.help is emailing me about a 2-factor authentication update, if I am alerted that it is the first time that email address is sending me emails, I am going to think twice before clicking it.
Important! Let's make it the first time they are emailing me in my inbox (in case they sent an email with the purpose of arriving at my junk folder and, a few months later, send another email that…

Set rule to forward calendard invite attachments to another email.
Ability to set forwarding rule send calendar invite attachments (.ics) to another email.
To the "with attachment" option, add a way to designate the file type, so that only files with the .ics extension are forwarded.
I need to use outlook as my calendar because it integrates into booking tools, such as Calendly. The best option I've found is to forward an invite that comes to my proton mail and forward it to my outlook account, where I then can add it to my calendar (this will also work for updated/modified invitations).

Link to Proton Mail in Proton Calendar sidebar.
Could you add link to Proton Mail in Proton Calendar sidebar or offer it as an option? Currently, only Contacts link appears. I noted that a link to Calendar appears in the Mail sidebar albeit limited.

remove decryption password from encrypted email
Hi guys, doesn't make much sense to send an encrypted email to a recipient while writing in clear text the password in the body of the email itself. An encrypted email should be intended to be read by the recipient only and because, contrarily to PGP, there's no way to authenticate the recipient digitally, whoever has access to the recipient mailbox, including the provider itself, can decrypt the email. I believe that the code should be transmitted through other channels by the sender to the recipient. If this sounds too complicated (it shouldn't) there should be at least an option…

In the confirmation prompt, tell which folder we are deleting all emails from (emptying).
In the confirmation prompt, tell which folder we are emptying.
Currently, when we empty the trash, it says:
"Delete all messages
All messages stored in this folder will be permanently deleted.
Are you sure you want to delete all messages in this folder?"I would like that "this folder" be replaced by "trash".
Also in the other folders it says:"Are you sure you want to move all messages in this location to trash?"
I would like that "this location" be replaced by "<name_of_the_folder>".
This to prevent costly mistakes.
Microsoft Outlook does this, for one.4 votes -
one-click add to calendar instead of .ics file import
Right now, Proton Calendar only supports importing .ics files or subscribing to external calendars. Other providers (e.g. Google Calendar, Outlook) allow a simple “Add to Calendar” deep link that lets users add an event to their calendar with one click.
It would be very useful if Proton Calendar supported a similar feature. For example, when an organisation sends me an event invitation, they could share a Proton-specific link that opens Proton Calendar directly and pre-fills the event details.
This would make it much easier to add events without having to manually download and import .ics files.

Junk email folder (not spam)
Spam is for spam from newsletters and promotions. What we need is a JUNK folder that stores malicious messages to prevent accidental clicks.

Making Optional Removal for Session Management
Under the Security and Privacy section of Proton Mail, I would like to see an option to hide all active sessions from view. This would help protect user privacy by preventing anyone auditing the account from seeing detailed session information. The “Revoke All Sessions” button could remain available, but instead of listing each session with full details, the interface could simply display the number of active sessions or just completely hidden. If a user wishes to view session details, doing so could automatically revoke all existing sessions for security.

undo button
It would be nice to have an undo edit button like most Microsoft programs. A button with a cylindrical arrow that undoes the last edit made, and stores them so one can go back multiple steps. Keyboards are so touchy that, especially if one is not a great typist, is easy to highlight an entire section, for instance, and replace it with the next thing one types. Being able simply to undo a catastrophic mistake rather than having to retype entire paragraphs would be a useful feature. I don't need to be punished for my typing errors--I know my typing…

Unfreeze "new mail" window to move within Proton mail window
I want to keep tabs in browser visible. Freezing new mail to lower right corner can make "send" button invisible sometimes. Moving "new mail" anywhere w/i Proton window would really help.

Go to Folder
In Proton Mail's web application, I would like to go easily to a particular folder. Convenient ways would be:
- A 'Go to Folder...' shortcut (much like the very useful 'M' shortcut to move a message to a folder). 'Shift + M' is a natural candidate.
- When viewing a message listed in 'All mail', this message's folder icon appears (on the same line as the 'From' field, between the 'Star' icon and the 'time received'). Clicking on this icon currently folds the message, but it could instead offer me some actions such as 'Go to folder' or 'Move to…4 votes -

Add imap accounts from other providers to the desktop and mobile mail app
I would like to be able to add IMAP accounts for other providers to the mobile and desktop mail apps. I have a few email accounts (student, work) that aren't proton mail, and it is annoying to have to use separate mail apps.

[UI] Make current Email hightlighting more subtle
Currently, the indicator color for which email is open is insanely bright and takes away the focus from the actual email to the color of the indicator. In fact, the color is so bright that I'm having problems concentrating on the email and instead am constantly moving my eyes towards this indicator. This is true for all themes.
Compare this to other clients like gmail or outlook which have way more subtle highlighting on the current email.
Heres a drive link to 2 images of the mail client, where one is the current "snow" theme, and in the other I…

How to Unlock Password-Protected PST Files for Seamless Backup and Recovery?
I have several old Outlook PST files that are password-protected, and I need to access them for creating a backup and ensuring recovery options are available. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the passwords for these files, which is preventing me from proceeding. Can anyone suggest reliable methods or tools to unlock password-protected PST files safely without risking data loss? I am looking for a solution that works smoothly and allows me to regain full access so I can back up and restore my Outlook data without issues.

Proton app customization
Allow the ability to customize proton mail with proton app icons. They would be where they currently are. You could also turn off ones you may not want. This would allow you to have the ability to access all of protons apps, but all in one place. You could also add a drop down menu and select the proton app you want to open.
