Turn off "set as default" in email
I get a big "set as default" banner at the top of Proton mail any time I open it. I can dismiss it but it comes back with the next restart of the application.
I am not ready to make Proton my default yet and it would be nice to be able to dismiss this permanently, or even have it pop up once a month or something.
This is in Windows 10.

Less resource-heavy Proton Mail App for Mac OS
The Mac OS Proton Mail app is sometimes extremely resource heavy, specially when replying to long email chains with lots of previous attachments. I have a screen grab of Proton mail using up more resources CPU and memory wise than Adobe Media encoder working on NotchLC video files. Waiting several seconds to see your words you've typed appear onscreen is not usable. I keep having to use chrome instead on these types of mails.

Backup all events or current event in Calendar
Offer to backup either all events, or per event. There would be a toggle. This would allow you to restore a previous event, in the event you change it after, or need to restore it. The space needed to store these backed up events, would use your proton drive space.

Recurring event options
Would it be possible to add options to schedule events relative to other events? e.g. schedule a recurring event to be one week before other event X.
Or to schedule recurring events based on how many weeks before the end of the month?I have a recurring event that is always on the last Thursday of the month, and a related event that is the Tuesday in the week before. I can schedule an event on the last Thursday, but for the second event I cannot get it to schedule correctly. I can put the third Thursday, but that doesn't…

Ability to make extra (multiple) inboxes
I have business plan, I have my private email and 2 domains I have installed via ProtonMail. To my shock it is not possible to have multiple inboxes..differentiated at least for my domains…. Now everything lands in 1 inbox..! I want to come over to you but you don’t make it easy!

Calendar Integration with Other Applications
I use a 3rd-Party Calendar widget on my Windows desktop computer: Rainlendar. It integrates with Google and many other calendar systems to allow me to not only view, but add and edit events on my desktop that then synchronize automatically with the external service to show elsewhere (other computers, tablets, phones). I desperately want to switch away from Google to Proton's calendar service, but without this kind of integration and automation, I cannot.

Bulk actions for selected emails
I recently started looking for jobs quite heavily and got application confirmations on my account. I was able to filter for all of them, but there is not an action to bulk forward them to e.g. Gmail which has more functionality for processing mails automatically. I’d like to either forward them in bulk or copy all of the content to let it be processed by ChatGPT automatically, so it generates a table or csv file which I could add to my existing google sheets file where I keep track of applications. Add option to disable icons in front of each mail
After the major UI refactoring of the Android mail app some weeks ago, we're struggling with some of the changes. Let me explain one problem:

If the mobile device is a rather small one, the used space on the display is precious. So there should be an option to disable the icons in front of each mail within the mail list. Do Not Delete Emails to Myself When Deleted from Sent and Trash
When I send an email to myself, my Proton account email, I have two copies of the message, one in Sent and one in Inbox, when I try to cleanup my Sent folder and delete the message from that folder, it moves it to Trash and the message in my Inbox is still there, but when I empty Trash, the message is also removed from my Inbox which should not happen.

ability to invite others to event of which you are not the organizer
Example: my friend invites me to dinner and i would like to forward the proton calendar event to my partner. however, as i am not the event organizer, this is currently not possible. all other larger email and calendar provider incl outlook and gmail allow for this basic functionality.

Comic sans font option
I think it is the peak of comedy to send my friends emails in comic sans font, and I would like to request the ability to do that here on Proton as well (seeing as Google already allows it). It's silly, I know it's silly, but sometimes we need silly things with the world the way it is. Therefore, I would like to request the silly idea solely for the sake of comedy.

Send emails though accounts added through easy switch
Add the ability to send emails though non Proton accounts that were connected through easy switch, to simply send emails through our previous email addresses with the convenience of Proton.

Automatic deletion of emails for specific labels after a certain amount of time
I need to schedule automatic deletion of emails (like for instance emails older than 30 days, 3 months, etc.) when having a specific label.
The reason is that I receive on a daily basis 100 to 200 automated emails that I need to store for some time, but I would like to have them deleted after a certain period of time, instead of doing it manually.7 votes -
Visionary: Allow More Custom Domains
As a Visionary member, I can add 10 custom domains. I need more and want secure email for all of them. Please allow extra domains or offer a paid add-on. Unlimited isn’t essential, but higher or flexible limits would help people move their whole setup to Proton. Strict caps like this drive people away, which is a shame given the need for robust privacy services in today's less private world.

Add "sent to" filter condition
At the moment, filters for "The recipient" include emails other than the destination for the email.
Eg: say I want to apply the label "not-proton" to emails received because they have been forwarded from an outlook or gmail address.
Using "The recipient" it is not possible to distinguish between OTHER recipients of the email and the one that caused the email to be received.
Say my proton is example999@proton.me, and I have gmail addresses example001@gmail.com through example999@gmail.com (so impractical and annoying to specify all 999 of them but you don't want to also catch example1000@gmail.com because that's not you)…2 votes -

Add contacts without email addresses to groups
I use “Contacts” in Proton Mail to securely manage all my contacts and I need to be able to group them. I don’t have email addresses for all my contacts. The group icon is grayed out unless an email is present, so I’m forced to enter fake emails like “@.com”.
