Separate Proton Mail & Calendar from Uservoice
Separate Proton Mail & Calendar from Uservoice
User Voice currently groups Proton Mail and Proton Calendar orders as a single app...
However, I recommend separating both in UserVoice to better identify products and the quantity of requests per product.
As there are many who are already registered in a single TAG,
you can rename it to something like "Old Category" and create two new categories so that new requests meet the new criteria.49 votes -
Support Calendar via Bridge
Struggling with feature parity for Proton Mail/Calendar and have multiple other email accounts, so I'm still in Outlook.
However, the proton calendar doesn't correctly sync via Outlook/Bridge. So now I'm in Outlook for email and Proton Calendar. It appears some calendar events show up in each but not everything in either.66 votes -
Proper support for Format=flowed
Proton is particularly bad at supporting plain text email. There’s no support for format=flowed in the interface but, even worse : any mail sent through Proton SMTP will see its format=flowed header removed.
This was a bug highly discussed in the Bridge Github ticketing system before it was sent offline.
Please allow people to use Proton and the Bridge through plaintext (Mutt, Emacs, Alpine are widely used amongst the privacy geeks crowd)

Proper Calendar Event Invitations with Accept / Decline / Tentative
Summary /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Add full support for standard calendar event invitations so recipients receive actionable event requests (Accept / Decline / Tentative) instead of a passive .ics attachment.
Description /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
When adding participants to a Proton Calendar event, recipients currently receive an email containing an .ics file. However, this does not appear as a proper event invitation in many calendar clients and does not offer standard response options such as Accept, Decline, or Tentative.
As a result, the event is not treated as a true meeting request but rather as a file attachment, which significantly limits usability.

keep emails as unread until you mark them?
Hi, can you please add an option to keep all emails as "unread" even after clicking them and have the option to mark them as Read when you want? This is one of the best features of outlook and gmail and it allows users to treat their emails as a "to-do" list. It saves a lot of time and helps keep inboxes organized and easily see what emails have been completed or "addressed" and which ones have not.

Proton Calendar: subscribe to private external calendar
At the moment, it is only possible to subscribe to public external calendars in Proton Calendar.
I would appreciate an option to subscribe to private calendars (served by Caldav and protected by username/password).
Thank you for your consideration.34 votes -

Expand the limit on levels of sub-folders within ProtonMail
The current implementation of folders in Proton Mail allows for top-level folders and two levels of sub-folders beneath these.
I can understand that allowing an unlimited level may not be practical, but an increse from 3 to 5 levels would make it much more useful for sorting.

when internet connection lost, ability to add event on the calendar app
When internet connection lost, users should be able to add event on the calendar app.
Synchronization would then occur when the internet connection is found again.1,469 votes -
Display contact anniversary in calendar under a special calendar.
Today in contact we can add a Birthday filled. It would be nice to be able to see it as an event in the calendar.
Later, it would be nice to add any "date" in the contact and display it on the calendar out of the box

video call integrations should hold up to privacy standards of proton
"Zoom has been criticized for its privacy and corporate data sharing policies, as well as for enabling video hosts to potentially violate the privacy of those participating in their calls." From Wikipedia.
There are plenty open source and privacy conscience alternatives!

Proton Duo with shared email inbox
It would be nice if the members of a Duo had a shared email address and inbox. Most couples need at times to communicate jointly together as a couple, either socially or for household business.
It would be even better if a Duo also included a full joint account with all features so that there is equality in the way information is shared and used.

Offline mode for mobile
Please allow the app to perform offline operations (read any and all inbox email, delete, write and send emails), which will be queued for syncing whenever online. Same for calendar events.
As it is now, any email sending/deleting, calendar event creation etc will FAIL if the phone happens to be disconnecting from wifi, changing networks or any of the thousands of possibilities of a mobile device moving around at all times. Any other Android email client knows to queue these tasks offline (ie, gmail OUTBOX folder), and sync them with the server at any available time it manages to connect,…

Meaningful subject line for appointment reminder emails
You can set up an email reminder for appointments in Proton Calendar.
When the email arrives, you unfortunately can't read what it's about in the subject line.
Example:
Reminder: Appointment starts on Sunday, October 5 (all day)Instead, the appointment title should appear after "Reminder:".

Add to Calendar option in the email context menu to quickly create events
Dear Proton Mail Product Team,
Thank you for the continued development of Proton Mail and Proton Calendar. Your commitment to privacy and user-centric features is greatly appreciated.
I would like to request a feature that would streamline productivity and organization within the Proton ecosystem: the ability to add an email to Proton Calendar directly from the context menu in all apps.
Specifically:
• When right-clicking (or tapping the options menu) on an email in the inbox, or when viewing an open email, there should be an option to “Add to Calendar”
• This action would create a new calendar event…94 votes -
Proton Calendar integration for Home Assistant
I would like a home assistant integration for proton calendar so that I can have my calendar be an input source to trigger automations. I think it would need to be an app inside of home assistant that you sign into with your proton account though because I don't want to have to make all of my calendars publicly subscribable. Home assistant is run locally on your own hardware, not the cloud, so I don't see why this would be a big security concern as long as you keep your home assistant server secure. home assistant would need to be…
