Option to hide the left sidebar when viewing an email on OSX
On web, you can simply click a left arrow and it minimizes the sidebar. But you can't do this in the OSX desktop app. Would love increased focus in my experience when reading an individual email, side bar is distracting. Thanks

Proton Calendar Event Running Command/Program
please add in the Proton Mail & Calendar app the ability to setup a new alert type that runs a program and/or command instead of just offering notification or email notifications. this would be incredibly useful, for example:
on windows, it could open Teams or Zoom for meetings and interviews 5 minutes beforehand
it could also open say, Steam or another gaming platform when new sales occur on any platform, same with a web URL for a black friday sale or similar.
on Linux it could also run commands for things like, say, a timeshift backup, and then automatically updating…

sunrise and sunset times
For people who start the day early (runners, photographers etc), it would be really useful to have the option to display sunrise/sunset times for your local area. Planning out hikes/runs etc would be so much easier.

Sub-domains for Custom Domains
Kind of shocking this facility doesn't exist already, but even if only 3 top-level domains are allowed, sub-domains of those 3 TLD's need to be allowed as well. Not happy this isn't an available feature having just signed up for Family.

No ads for paid accounts
Could we please avoid "Black Friday Sale" banners and such, in the UI of the apps? (Proton Mail for Windows, for example) I'm paying for the service, it should be as clean as possible, with no ads, not even internal/Proton ones. There are newsletters for this kind of info.

Inbox should be a standard label by itself.
Inbox should be a standard label by itself. In example when sending a new message then the message disappears in the sent folder. When there's no reply on my message then I might forget about the message. Therefore I always move the newly sent massage to my inbox (in Gmail). By doing so I can follow up my message more easily.

Labeled messages with folder should still go to inbox unless chosen to archive
Labeled messages with folder should still go to inbox unless chosen to archive. Labeling messages and designating a folder does not mean to skip the inbox. Only if chosen to archive it should skip the inbox. In Gmail I have +300 folders and labels even more. It's easy to open a message and then to select the label. All messages with this label will show up. In Protonmail I need to go through +300 folders to find the unread messages that have been classified while unread due to skipping the inbox.

Labels in order of placement by user.
Dear Proton Mail,
I use a lot of labels to organize emails. Many emails have responses back and forth. By labeling them correctly, there is an overview of the route of emails.
Because more labels can be linked to an email message, I note that the labels are put in alphabetical order.
This is not entirely correct because the order simply doesn't make sense if you use more than one label. It makes more sense (to me and perhaps others) that the label order can be read according to the user's placed labels one after the other.

Mail and event reminder on Linux
On the Linux client, mail and calendar reminders are issued via the integrated notification system. At least that's how it is with Linux Mint. Unfortunately, this is pretty bad and confusing. It would be nice if the Linux client displayed its own windows for announcing an email or notifying an event (including a snooze and dismiss button).

Better Widget
The existing widget provides an overview of the current day’s events, but ignores event duration. A widget that displays the day exactly like in the actual calendar (with different event lengths and gaps) is missing. In that regard, you would even be ahead of Google.

Folder Icons in Addition to Colors
In addition to folder colors, which we could have more of, would it be possible to add simple shapes to folders for more customization? For example, overlay a small plus sign, cross, circle, square and more on top of the folder icon.
With this we could label folders not only as green or blue, but green, blue, green with triangle, blue with plus sign, etc.
Since folders and backgrounds can be various colors, the icon might need color options too. Settings such as transparent (ie the shape will be cut out of the folder and take the color of the…

Proton Calendar mobile app Alarm support
In short: Proton Calendar mobile app support for alarms in addition to just notifications or email.
If you have vibrate profile on, there is no sound with notifications from the calendar app.
Now alarms (from the clock app for example) will always use sound, even if you have "only vibrate" on.
I am used to setting events in advance and creating multiple alarms so I am not late for or miss anything important. It is not practical to use the clock app for that. Samsung (and I think Google) calendar support this.1 vote -
Two small calendar tweaks
The desktop calendar is wonderful! It's just that I'm coming over from Google and there are two small things irking me:
The dragging of the time blocks is not very streamlined. I would love for there to be a setting for time blocks to snap to 15- (and/or 10-) minute increments as well.
On Google Cal, I'm able to type "1859" and it recognizes this as "18:59". Would appreciate for it to work this way on Proton Cal as well. Currently, on Proton, it automatically changes to a seemingly irrelevant time.

Option to select initial mailbox / folder on Mail app open
On both Windows and Android apps, opening Proton Mail with always go to Inbox as the initial view.
I have setup rules to move incoming messages to various folders so my inbox is not useful to me (it's just mail not yet included in a rule).
Please provide an option to select which folder to open mail into. At minimum this could be a choice between 'INBOX' or 'ALL MAIL' which is what I have to switch to EVERY time I open mail.
Thanks!

Display text prefix for Holiday calendar event descriptions
I have added holiday calendars for UK, Canada, USA, and Australia which display as expected, however, on a day such as 'Christmas Day' there are 4 such identical entries listed. On the windows app, moving the mouse over each just displays the same rollover text 'Christmas Day' it does not specify which calendar it came from.
When configuring each 'external' calendar it would be nice to be able to add a text 'PREFIX' to be added before the calendar even text such as 'UK', USA', such that 'UK: Christmas Day' and 'USA: Christmas Day' would differentiate each.
Due to the…
