Select all emails and perform bulk actions
It’s taking me 30 mins a day to delete 100-200 emails this is time consuming and damn right idiotic that the feature isn’t here already
To vote for 'select all' from search results, vote here: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483/suggestions/46566259
Hey everyone,
Cleaning up your inbox just got easier – you can now label, move, delete, or mark as read all emails in a folder (including your main Inbox) at once on the Proton Mail web app.
To get started, select all messages on a page. You'll see the option to select all messages in the location (e.g. Inbox) you're in. Then, simply apply actions in bulk, making it easier to manage your inbox.
Thank you for your feedback!

I want to reduce the number of messages in my inbox by deleting anything older than a certain date, or bulk move older messages to another folder. This will allow me to use the Advanced Search function. I currently have too many emails in the inbox so when I try to use the Advanced Search function it takes 45-60 minutes to download the inbox messages.

GOSTARIA DE UMA OPÇÃO QUE EXCLUISSE TODOS OS EMAILS DE UMA SÓ VEZ DA CAIXA DE ENTRADA SEM TER QUE SELECIONAR DE 50 EM 50

The empty trash button is very well visible in the android app, but in the webmail, it is not called the same, you need to go to the right end of the window inside the trash click on the 3 dots menu et select "delete all". It would make more sense to be consistent with the app and have a single button "empty trash" on the left side of the window in the trash folder, like all other actions.

The reason why this is important is because when you search, all the emails in the TRASH folder show up. Now you might say "just use advance search and select the inbox" The problem is I have many many folders. And you cannot select multiple folders to search in. So if you don't remember where you stored the email, it's frustrating. *IF* there was a "do not search in trash" folder in the search option, than this wouldn't be an issue.

I have 3000 emails in my inbox, I can't keep deleting 50 at a time. I need a way to delete all mail in the inbox. Just give me the option, and give me a pop up box that says "Are you sure?" and let me have my peace. :)

You can delete an entire mailbox in the new UI by clicking the three dots top right of the window > "delete all".

It's unfortunate that there is still not an easy way to actually "Select ALL" messsages (instead of the 50 that display) at this stage in your product.

This is a show stopper for making the client usable. A critical need is the ability to search for and dispose of useless messages which often number far more than 50.

In the desktop browser (I am using Safari) there is a button to mark an email or group of selected emails as unread. But there is no equivalent button to mark an email or group of emails as read. Please add it!

This is a very critical need for me. Google made it so simple to search your entire email database and do a global delete, move, etc. ProtonMail only gives us 50 search results at a time. Then if you delete the 50 and immediately search again the first results are the ones you just deleted. So the only way then is to dump your trash first then do the search all over again. PLEASE PLEASE help!

Instead of having to delete 50 mails per time, i'd love to have what google mail has, a Delete All button.

Funny, but I learned about the existence of this button only now from you, despite the fact that I have been using ProtonMail for several years.:) not intuitive
Too many moves: go to Trash, click hamburger menu, click "delete all" button.
Is it possible to add a "delete all" button directly to the Trash link, next to the "Refresh" button? -

I just create a label and using a option on the top-right side, exclude all messages.

Personally I have 435 pages of emails that needs to be removed, and when deleting in Thunderbird using the Bridge, the emails just comes popping back up, nothing is moved to trash.
It's really brain dead to sit and click through all those 435 pages.... This feature is needed NOW.

thanks to previous comments I was able to find the option:
today march 2022, at the extrem right of the bar (and screen) with 'select' and 'delete' and other options, click on the 3 vertical dots, you'll see "delete all"!

Please add this. If I forget to clean out the trash for a while, it's laborious going through it 50 at a time.

Is there a way to delete more than one page at a time in ProtonMail?
