As one of those typeface afficionados, I would love to see a feature where I can set a default compose font. Currently the compose screen defaults to Arial.73 votes
With the new guidelines apple set forth for default email client on the new ios14, would protonmail be capable of being the default client?
Would love to have this as a thing.47 votes
I am unsure if this presently exists, but I think it would be beneficial to have the calendar and the contacts open in individual tabs so one could easily switch between the applications of mail, calendar and contacts without having to close the other tab.79 votes
With the new ProtonMail, you can easily switch between your ProtonMail, Proton Calendar and Proton Drive using the app switcher. The contacts widget is also easily accessible within ProtonMail. Give this a try at mail.protonmail.com today.
Provide a way to download the mobile app for Android phones directly from your website. People are seeking ways to lessen their exposure to Google. They find ProtonMail and sign up, but then they have to use a Google account to go to the Google Play Store to download your app. This defeats the purpose. Currently, I am using your desktop website on my phone to see how it works, to investigate that option for a blog site that wants to post alternatives. Adding the option for downloading the apps directly from your website could be a great selling point.2 votes

For the Windows Bridge app: The ability to minimize Bridge to the system tray, to keep it from taking up space in the taskbar.3 votes
Seeing images in an email makes it feel like I'm in the 21st century, but I dont want to be tracked with pixels or other technology, would be nice to block these without blocking images. Kind of like what hey.com does.1 vote
Please provide a stand alone method to import all gmail message history, without the use of a bridge. So many of us would like to completely leave gmail behind, but cannot because we still rely on the message history in old gmail accounts.
I don't want to download the message history to a computer. I want to transfer all messages directly to folders in my active PM accounts, where I can access them at any time within my PM accounts. Thanks.4,735 votes
We’re happy to announce that this feature is now complete. You can test it on beta. Don’t hesitate to send us your feedback. We would love to hear it.

I don't have a Windows or OSX machine, so ProtonMail Bridge doesn't appear to be an option for me. Is there any way Bridge for Linux could happen? The site says it's coming soon, but when is soon?1,344 votes
We are happy to announce that ProtonMail Bridge for Linux is now available in closed Beta for all paid users. Please email us at email@example.com for an invite.
Currently the Bridge opens a window on the desktop upon startup. It should have an option to start minimized in the system tray, similar to other services/9 votes
Would love a dark theme for the Android app12,494 votes
The ability to show only unread messages in the iOS mobile app should be added.263 votes
ProntonMail Bridge needs to be protected by password. As anyone who uses the pc, can easily see the mailbox username and password in the bridge. Unless the user remember to logout from the bridge properly each time after used, else the bridge will remember the login credential forever. This is a serious security loophole. Especially for those who share their pc.26 votes
Once I've entered a 2FA code in a browser, it would be good to have an option to trust the browser and not require the code next time.
The Android app already seems to do this - it only required a 2FA code the first time I signed in, but the browser requires it every time.92 votes
You seem to believe that the ability to add folders is "Completed" by telling people to use labels. Color labels just don't cut it.
All the emails will still reside in my inbox or archive. Every other internet email service offers the option to create custom folders, why not Protonmail? This issue has come up again and again from the start.2,283 votes
Just like in Gmail I would like to login to multiple accounts in my Android (don't know about the iOS app since I've never tried it) at the same time13,007 votes

I have a PLUS subscription with a custom domain for my 5 family members. I would like them to gain access to their email separately, but from what I understand this requires a visionary subscription. I would like to have this feature included in the PLUS subscription for up to 5 users (same number of users as email addresses).387 votes

It is a deal killer for business use to not be able to search the contents of emails Vs just subject titles. Combine that with the TERRIBLE conversation thread that will not open ALL messages at the same time and PM may be doing great engineering but poor client business development.2,380 votes
The ProtonMail Bridge supports this by allowing ProtonMail to work with any Desktop email client so full text search can be performed locally without compromising the end-to-end encryption.
