Visual distinction between "all day" events and events at a certain time
In Google calendar, all day events have a solid fill, and "timed" events have a border. This is helpful because often people (and I) will just make an all day event to signify something I need to remember, and don't actually need to prepare for at a certain time. Its nice to see that distinction on the monthly view.

Add a Proton-specific bank or sounds that can be played when specific senders send emails, or when other criteria are met.
Add a Proton-specific bank of sounds that can be pre-selected to be played when specific senders send emails, or when other criteria are met. User uploaded additions to the list should also be permitted within user accounts. Explore similar rule-triggered flash-screen or pop-up options to accompany sounds or to operate silently. And of course, don't forget the quick pull-down on-off toggle switch!

All Mail (User Defined)
Instead of only having the option to exclude Spam and Trash from ALL MAIL, have every folder listed in settings with on off switches to include or exclude each folder in/from ALL MAIL.

Disappearing Calendar Events
In messaging contexts, it is well accepted that there may be times where you want to use disappearing messages, even despite the fact that your messenger (i.e. Signal) provides a secure, e2ee platform. Ultimately, this is because those messages, for whatever reason, are not worth keeping around past a certain point. And in many activist communities, messages or group chats could be used to correlate activity, attribute actions, or perform social network mapping. People then decide that the safest thing is to let those messages disappear to reduce the potential impact of a future "breach" of one participants' device.

Calendar pane dedicated column instead of overlay
When in the web view of Proton Mail, you can show the calendar by clicking the icon on the right side of the screen. The problem is, this causes the calendar to overlay all the controls on the right side of the screen. For users that'd just want their "today" view open all day, this is annoying as it prevents use of those controls. Instead of overlaying these controls (bad UX), the calendar column should just push the mail UI to the left while it is open.

Please allow us to deactivate aliases from the proton mail web interface!
When I want to deactivate a compromised alias, I have to do it through Proton Pass. It would be really nice to be able to do it from the Proton Mail interface.

Bulk Deletion
This has been posted before. Why was it deleted?
I have over 70 pages of emails from a newspaper I subscribe to. I can only delete a page at a time. Surely it would make sense to delete these 70 pages in one go? Wouldn't it clear more room for server space if every one were allowed this option?
I don't fancy spending half an hour doing this page by page.

Keep the subject visible in long conversations
I tend to open a new message and sometimes forget the context so I have to jump to the top to read the subject.
This happens mostly with GitHub issue notifications.4 votes -
Turn on auto reply from the phone app
Turn on auto-reply from the phone app.
I’d like to have the ability to turn on auto-reply from the ios app.
I often realise I haven’t turned it on when I’m already on my way to the airport/on the train/out and about. It’s annoying having to go through safari, log in, and dig through the settings.
This should be simply accessible from the mobile app.

Send Receive keyboard shortcut
Send and receive is so important that I cannot believe there isn't a shortcut with the 'spinning arrow' for feedback.

Users should be able to influence calendar ordering
e.g., by alphanum sorting (instead of sorted on creation time) and/or by drag&drop.

Make Proton Mail follow the "Cache Directory Tagging Standard"
If it's possible, it would be useful to follow the "Cache Directory Tagging Standard" in Proton Mail, so any directory containing a CACHEDIR.TAG file will be skipped from backups.
If cache data it's not necessary I don't see a reason to backup it;
The CACHEDIR.TAG file helps tools like Restic to exclude certain cache dirs2 votes -

I have filters and folders set up for multiple emails. When I receive mail addressed to more than one of my emails in the same account, it ends up going to the folder associated with the last filter. I need the email to go in each folder.

Integrate Encrypted Photo Editing or Secure Lightroom-style Workflow in Proton Drive
As more creators and photographers use Proton Drive to back up their visual projects, it would be amazing to have a built-in photo preview and editing capability — something like a secure Lightroom-style workspace.
This feature could allow users to:
Edit RAW or DNG files directly from Proton Drive without downloading.
Apply basic adjustments like brightness, contrast, color grading, or cropping.
Maintain end-to-end encryption while editing (no image leaves the secure Proton environment).
Sync edits seamlessly across devices, similar to how Lightroom
syncs through the cloud — but with Proton’s focus on privacy and user control. It would make Proton…

Allow sieve to access body content by running client side
Sieve is great, but the proton mail implementation is severely limited by the inability to search message content, such as body. This is of course by design, sieve is running on the encrypted emails, so it cannot read the body content, however, it would be nice to do this sometimes. In a similar vein to the local side body search implemented by proton, I propose a client side sieve implementation, that can run in desktop proton to do filtering on unencrypted message content.

Alert new senders on inbox
If a sender never emailed me before, the UI could display a tooltip or an icon alerting me as such.
How would this help? If someone from npmjs.help is emailing me about a 2-factor authentication update, if I am alerted that it is the first time that email address is sending me emails, I am going to think twice before clicking it.
Important! Let's make it the first time they are emailing me in my inbox (in case they sent an email with the purpose of arriving at my junk folder and, a few months later, send another email that…

Set rule to forward calendard invite attachments to another email.
Ability to set forwarding rule send calendar invite attachments (.ics) to another email.
To the "with attachment" option, add a way to designate the file type, so that only files with the .ics extension are forwarded.
I need to use outlook as my calendar because it integrates into booking tools, such as Calendly. The best option I've found is to forward an invite that comes to my proton mail and forward it to my outlook account, where I then can add it to my calendar (this will also work for updated/modified invitations).
